Was charged a “flat rate” of $732 for a twenty minute disposal replacement. Had to pay $95 dispatch fee before estimate was provided. I don’t think I was changed a fair rate for the work performed.

They are very good and very professional. We would definitely hire them again and we would recommend them as well.

Quick response, as always. Excellent workmanship. Gave 4 options for repair/replacement with advantages/disadvantages of each. We've used them since 1977, for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Technician and office employees very helpful with phone and emailed information.

I was told that our plumbing was old and should be completely replaced. I called them because of the leak. Instead of replacing all the pipes, they just shut off the extension so water goes to the bathroom. The bathroom became unusable. It didn't really fix the leak but the pipes were basically disconnected to the bathroom. I don't know how to rate that. It fixed the water from running but it didn't really fix the problems. I'm not sure if they're the most expensive company but they are certainly not the cheapest company. They are probably in the medium range.

Furnace worked OK after work performed. Average price for routine in area is $70.00. We were charged $224.23 for oil filter change and nozzle change. Been using Brown for years, will get bids this year for routine in fall.

I had called the day before late in the afternoon with a water leak in the ceiling in a room in my basement. Knowing it was two days before New Years, I wasn't too confident that I'd be able to get someone out. W.E. Brown was the third plumber I called, and the only one that would come out the next day, in the late morning. This was perfect. The workman arrived around 10:00 and diagnosed my problem quickly. We had to cut out portions of the ceiling and evaluate the water heater vent pipe. I had a tankless water heater installed a few weeks prior and apparently the new system was very efficient and had some more water in the vent pipe than the previous tanked system. Well, long story short, the vent pipe was NOT GLUED in the finished ceiling. So, when the house was built, the contractor didn't glue it, only primed it. Thus, it leaked, and a lot. The workman had to cut two holes in the ceiling, cut the pipe, reseal the pipe, with glue this time, and all was well. Great job by WE Brown.

They called before coming were very polite. First was told I needed a carpenter to come out and remove the bottom of my cabinet. It was only when I said, "isn't there something you can do with out all of that. he then said, he could cut a hole around it and do the repairs."

The serviceman was polite, efficient, and on time. Initially, the dispatcher said they had no openings until the next day, so I told her I would need to look elsewhere (which I did). Several hours before the appointment I had scheduled, Brown called me back to say that they had a plumber available almost immediately. Since I had a leak, I took it and cancelled the other appointment. The only thing I did not like was the price which I found to be excessive considering what was done. The cost was $68 to walk in the door, plus $200 to replace and install 4 metal hose clamps, 2 pipe inserts (?adapters?) and one polyurethane elbow joint. The job took from 30-40 minutes.

They did an excellent job, were very neat and the finished work looks and functions wonderfully.

They always treat us really well. They promise they do what they say. If we have any kind of problems they come promptly. They call ahead of time and show up when they are supposed to. They give estimation in writing. They have a new commercial and come well dressed.

WE Brown replaced my old and broken HVAC system with the new Carrier Infinity system with Greenspeed Intelligence.The cutting edge variable speed technology was appealing and so far lived to the expectations. Great system, and very professionally installed. The vendor followed up closely on the performance small issues fixed immediately. We are delighted with the service.

Billy, the representative from WE Brown who did the work for us, was great. He not only kept us abreast of what was happening at all times, but he was very detailed in what he did. He took photos along the way to show us what was happening. Once they isolated where the problem was, Billy was able to rerun that section of wire via an outlet which helped minimize mess. They fully cleaned up after all work each day. In addition, Billy did not charge us the emergency service rate despite the fact that the job was originally started from a service call. He billed us as if it had been a contract job - which saved us probably a few thousand dollars. He showed tremendous compassion as well as skill in his work and was tenacious at finding and fixing the problem. He also provided us with a lot of information about our wiring and circuit system. We were extremely pleased with the service provided by WE Brown as well as by the cost and quality of the work.

They fixed my heater. It is a real old-fashioned gas heater. They are always very courteous. They fixed the leak in the sink too. They usually fix small things for me.

They told us that the compressor was not functioning properly and we'd need a new compressor - about a $2,000 job. We called another company in for an estimate (Albemarle Heating and Air), just trying to do our due diligence in making sure it was a good price, etc. The other company came out, looked at the unit and noted that a cap had been left off of a valve, and it wasn't lying around anywhere (like it would be if someone had simply forgotten to put it back on) - it looked as though it had been intentionally removed. Because of this, the freon had leaked out. The guy had freon in his truck as well as a replacement cap, and he filled it up and capped it while he was there. It cost us about $200 and the air worked much better immediately. I contacted WE Brown to complain, and the receptionist was very apologetic and asked if the manager could call me back to talk to me about it, to which I of course said yes. But I never got another call. The next communication I received was a mailing for service contract renewal, which we obviously did not complete.

We thought we had a frozen pipe and did not. they offered great service.

We have used W.E. Brown several times since buying our home in February, 2011. They installed a whole house generator, a new HVAC system on the second floor of our house, installed a ceiling fan in our great room which has a cathedral ceiling, as well as providing general mainentance and repair services to our exisiting HVAC and plumbing systems. They have been excellent in all categories. They are professional and skilled in all areas; prompt, courteous and responsive to our needs and questions; they are extremely reliable and prompt. It is a great comfort to know we can depend on them.

I have been using them for 30+ years and they do a good job. I also like that they come right away and stand by their work. Overall, I am very happy with them. They do both industrial and commercial plumbing work.

We saw them actually twice last year. In November, they repaired the outside part of the heat pumps. In August, they repaired the fan motor associated with one of our heat pumps, which is the interior part of the heat pump. They are good. We have been calling them for years. Their price was okay. They were here before I expected them. I would use them again in the future.

So far it's been okay with them. I would use them in the future.

They are very very good and highly recommended. We bought the service plan and we had them service our furnace. I have not had additional electrical work or anything like that. It was general service work to the furnace. They were very good.
