I have not yet had the service done, but Robert was excellent! He emailed me back promptly, told me he understood foundations, roofing, and guttering. He also looked up my house on GIS. Quotes are based on the age of the house and square footage. Robert offers a fair price for starting out. I really liked his website!

Robert arrived a few minutes early and started right away...did not waste any time. He identified a long list of discrepancies, which he divided into four categories (Concers, Deficiencies, Safety Issues, Informational). He was very descriptive and explained things so that it was easy to understand. He did not mind us tagging along and answering our questions, and he would point out code violations, so that there were no surprises on the home inspection report. He took pictures of everything and uploaded the home inspection to his website by the end of the day. Highly recommended!

Our experience working with Robert Foster on the home inspections was excellent in every way. Robert is exceptionally responsive from the start. He is clear and efficient in his communications. HIs website is extremely helpful in understanding what to expect from the inspection and the follow-up to the inspection. On site, Robert is thorough and attentive to every aspect of the inspection process. Additionally, he offered useful, understandable explanations about all aspects of our home. We learned a great deal during both inspections, which will certainly benefit us as new homeowners. We recommend Robert without reservation.

Robert, the inspector and owner, has a great system. You call and request an inspection and he sets you up an online account. You sign the estimate/inspection agreement electronically. Once the inspection is complete, a few hours later he emails you and you can sign into your account and access your full report immediately. You can print it out or forward it to others as needed. Robert was very easy to work with from the get go. He even helped work with the realtor to make sure all the needed utilities were on, etc. He showed up on time and spent several hours with us going meticulously through the house from top to bottom and fully explaining his findings as he went along. We learned alot about our new house and got some great suggestions on how to improve on things or keep up with necessary maintenance. The report was easy to understand and read. The inspection uncovered a subtle problem with water in the basement that we had not noticed previously. We are going to have some gutter work done immediately upon closing to address this. Overall, the findings in the inspection helped negotiate our purchase down $10K after the sellers reviewed the report. Totally worth it! Recommend highly.

Working with Robert was a pleasant experience. He was very thorough, taking over 4 hours to look at ever aspect of the home we bought. The online inspection report he provided has been useful, not only in negotiating the price of the home, but even now as we begin to fix it up to move it. As two people who are totally ignorant on home repair issues, Robert explained in detail why problems he found mattered and how they can be fixed. Multiple times, we have referred back to the inspection report as we make our checklists and budgets for what needs to be done on the house. The only thing that was negative about the experience is something that I think is inherent in all home inspections. I left the inspection feeling much less in love with the home then when we first decided to buy it. In fact, I was downright depressed. But I had to remember, it's Robert's job to be critical, not to highlight the good things about the home you're purchasing.

Robert arrived early and looked over my list of questions. I had prepared these ahead of time so I could make sure I learned as much as possible. He made sure he was aware of every question. When got to a portion that answered one of my questions, he pointed to my clipboard to make sure I wrote down the answer. We left the inspection knowing how everything on the house worked, its condition, and options for repairs we'll need to do. We feel Robert went beyond what was required of a home inspector and have already recommended him to others.
