Estimate was in the mid range of the 4 we got. Rooftop was prompt and did an amazing job. The crew arrived at 0730 and worked through the entire day. By 6pm the roof was installed and looked beautiful. The crew spent 30 minutes cleaning up all old materials, nails, etc. We also appreciated the photos taken along the way, so we could see what needed replaced, etc. The day after the roof was installed, Rooftop made another site visit to inspect area and review work.

The gentleman who came out to assess the work was pleasant and helpful. He was able to fix the problem during his initial visit, but said that there might be another spot that need repairing that he couldn't reach without assistance. (I have a very steep roof) When the spot leaked again (after a very heavy rain) he came out and repaired it at no additional charge. Over all great experience!

One word describes this company "OUTSTANDING" Excellent communications, kept all the appointments, cost was reasonable considering they had to drive to Gordonsville. Started the job on time, finished the work, cleaned up and I could not find a piece of paper or a nail left behind. They called after the work was completed to make sure I was satisfied. Few days later the warranty papers and final invoice was received. Well organized and executed job. I strongly recommend this company. They are a small business and need support. I will use them again. Corporate America should learn from small companies how to do work and treat customers.

Midwinter my wife and I noted a leak from the roof skylight. We called three roofers from Angie's and Roof Top Services responded quickly and set an appointment to provide an estimate. Mr. Ownensby arrived at the scheduled time and climbed his ladder to survey the problem. Don't laugh, another roofer arrived for his appointment without a ladder and was baby sitting a small child. Mr. Ownensby checked the roof and saw a problem with the tar sealing the skylight. He said it was cracking to cause the leak and shouldn't have been considered as a long term solution. He also spoke with us about possibly replaceing the skylight as it was plastic and over 25 years old. He suggested a glass replacement. He noted the fireplace flashing was only partially in place and needed completion. We are new to the home and former repairs were not done correctly. The firm sent an estimate promply and was it fully explained (on the phone). The price seemed right so we excepted. The work was scheduled 'as the weather permits' as it was still cold and lots of snow remained on the ground. We were told the work would take about 1 1/2 days, with the roof covered overnight. Two men arrived at the agreed upon day and time. It was a very cold day. The worked all day to replace the skylight, and the flashing around it to correct the leak. The foreman spoke English and explained all the work to be done. The job was completed the next moring and the new skylight lets in much more light. It is also leak free. Thanks Roof Top Services! Very professional job. The process was more involved than simply putting down the flooring. The process took three days to complete. It involved putting high quality plywood over the existing deck, sanding to the right level, glueing down the membrane, ensuring tight seams. The work included running the membrane under house siding (to prevent leaks) and adjusting deck railing post. The crew was very meticulous in their work...great attention to detail. It was not cheap, however, when considering we got a high quality deck surface for one deck and at the same time a waterproof ceiling for another, it was a good deal.

The representative came on time and promptly checked my roof. I was thinking the whole thing need to be replaced, so I was very happy to find out that smaller repairs would take care of my problems.

Crew was on time and professional. We had some questions after the work was complete and they were very responsive with sending someone out to review and answer our questions - a very positive experience. We would use them again and recommend then to family.

They did a great job. We had no immediate leaks, but the old shingles were wearing through in places. We visited the showroom and picked out some possible shingles. They provided a detailed estimate and promised to finish the job in two days. They arrived on a Monday with a large crew (10-15 guys) and proceeded remove the old shingles and install most of the new roof. They came back and finished up on day two and cleaned up everything. It was amazing! We have only found one stray roofing nail that they missed. They were very professional and considerate throughout the process.

Had a roof leak between the wall and brick fireplace. They came quickly and on time, and even took pictures of the damage on the roof to show me exactly what was causing the leak. They fixed it that day and did a walk around the roof to inspect for missing shingles etc. Would absolutely use them again!

Could not have asked for better service. From the person who schedules the estimate, to the person who oversees the installation, they were all courteous, prompt and honest. They answered all the questions and concerns we had about the estimate. They were at the house at 7:30am to beginning work and finished by 5:30 the same day. They cleaned up and sent someone back the next day to ensure all debris was removed and that we were satisfied with the installation. I feel like we had personal, prompt and honest communication throughout the entire process. I hope to never need them again but would gladly tell anyone to use them without hesitation!

J.R. came by while we were away from home; our general contractors let him in and showed him where to get into the attic. The contractor was the one who noticed the small leak; after they painted our bedroom ceiling, someone noticed a small wet patch soaking through. J.R. left a message saying he'd found the leak and knew how to fix it, but when he didn't hear back right away he just went ahead and patched it with some sealant. Then he called back and left another message saying he'd fixed the leak and there would be no charge for the service. My boyfriend called him back to get more details and thank him directly. We can't say enough about his service and attention to this matter, and how refreshing it was to have it go so smoothly--but then to not even be charged because J.R. realized how easy and small a fix it was, and that it wasn't worth it to wait for our return call/to have to possibly come back . . . it was just customer service at its very best.

Roof Top was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. They visited my home when we were not there, and I was promptly provided a detailed estimate via email. It was much lower and yet was more detailed than a competing bid, and Roof Top was able to do the work weeks earlier than two competitors - so the decision was very easy. The work was then done in 1 1/2 days, when and as promised, and it all appears to have been done exactly as I expected.

Roof Top Services responded promptly when I contacted them for an estimate. Because their bid amount was very good compared to the other 4 we received (credentials/reviews were also very good) and because they were the only bidders who said they had a large work crew and could do the whole job in a day, we went with them. We are very happy with their work. They told us the work schedule would need to be about 3 weeks out from the time we accepted their bid. It was almost exactly 3 weeks later that they were able to come. The supervisor was very professional and courteous, and the work crew were courteous and efficient. We stayed inside our house to keep our companion animals as calm as possible, and were pleasantly surprised that the noise level was not as bad as we had expected....no extreme vibrations, no pictures falling off walls, etc. They were done in one day, and the cleanup around our house was exceptional. I'd definitely recommend this company for full roof replacement or repairs.

The problem with the leak has been corrected which was the primary objective. I was disappointed in the cosmetics of the work -- there were shingles which had been torn rather than cut, the new flashing was not conforming to the contour which made replacing the wood trim difficult, there was refuse left on the roof (it's a gentle sloop and not visible from the ground).

They kept us informed and were easy to work with.

It was excellent from start to finish. A representative came out and took picturers and forwarded them to the insurance adjuster (the roof replacement was an insurance claim due to a storm). W received a written estimate and detailed description to include the logistics, materials, date of start and completion.

We needed to get an evaluation on the roof of a home we were considering for purchase. It was recommended by our home inspector that we have a professional roofer evaluate the roof and he suggested we find someone on Angie's List. I joined and then called Roof Top Services. They were courteous and extremely knowledgeable. They came out exactly when they said they would. We received a voicemail from the roofer to call him on his mobile phone (after hours) so that he could discuss his findings. He gave us very detailed information and his recommendations. He was professional and trustworthy. We also received his estimate via email that next morning and the price was very reasonable. To top it off, they didn't charge usa penny! We will definitely use this company and would recommend them to anyone looking for prompt, fair and courteous service.

The leak was long standing -- perhaps 10 years. Planning to renovate the bathroom, we knew we needed to fix this problem. Roof Top was easy to deal with and reasonably priced.

Prior to a planned porch renovation, a leaky roof needed to be repaired. This roof on a 90 year old house had leaked for years even though reroofed and patched on a number of prior occasions. Roof Top Services came out to assess the problem within two days of the estimate request and came back with a proposal to reroof sections of the house that had been improperly done in the past. The job was extremely well supervised and the crew was professional and skilled. Three of the five sections of roof were replaced with metal due to the low pitch and the porch renovation proceeded without anymore leaks and added beauty to this old cottage-style home. Roof Top stayed on estimate and coordinated handily with an insulation company to take care of weatherizing the home.

We have a sunroom with 4 skylights and my wife noticed what appeared to be water stains one day. Sure enough, after several days of rain a few weeks ago the leak was confirmed - and appeared to coincide with the location of one of the skylights. I emailed 3 businesses (it was holidays and a weekend so no one was answering calls) - two from Angie's List and another I was referred to. Only Roof Top Services actually replied to me at all - not a peep from the others. Roof Top couldn't get out right away, but made arrangements to come today (Mon, Jan 7th). JR showed up at the exact time window they promised, and although I didn't hear the doorbell, he went around and started to look at the skylights. A few minutes later he showed me some pictures he had taken of my roof, identifying the reasons for the leak. Not the skylight after all, rather poor roofing by the builder of the house - putting nails in the seams of the shingles when applied. I also asked about a small area of gutters where we had some issues and a spot in the roof above our garage that looked "off". After taking a look at everything JR came back to give me the breakdown: - exposed nails near the skylight causing the leaks. He offered to simply seal those areas at no cost since he was here and it was a quick easy fix. - gutter showed no signs of real trouble, but could use a small piece of flashing inserted to likely solve our problem. He would need to come back to do that 10-15 minute job, and I would be hit with their minimum charge of $200. So I asked him to show me the problem and his proposed solution one more time and hen forget I mentioned it to him. He did without hesitation, knowing I would take on the fix and save the $200... costing them that $200. - roof area that was "off" - low rafter - no issues. So, in the end, JR fixed every possible cause of the leaky skylight/roof, instructed me on how to fix the gutter issue, and gave the "all clear" on the other potential issue... all at NO charge because the issues that were fixable were so small and he was already here with the tools to fix it. I understand the psychology behind this: small fix, easily done. So fix it free and with no hassle and you have a 100% satisfied customer who will call you up the next time they need any work done. It works. It makes sense. It's an unbelievably easy concept to grasp as a business owner - but it's shocking how little this is actually seen. Most companies - if you can actually get them to call you back - will come for the free estimate, but if they have to get up on that ladder more than once you're hit with charges immediately... Kudos to the team at Roof Top Services, and and my thanks to JR for helping me out today. You have, indeed, left a customer who is 100% satisfied, and who will absolutely call you again should I have any needs that match your expertise.

excellent - it was done in one day. Not one nail was left in the yard. The crew was friendly, but they worked the entire time except lunch. There were 2 supervisors on site. They provided water for their employees. They did the work necessary to make the roof leakproof and secure. I would highly recommend them.

We were amazed at how quickly and well this company did the job of replacing our roof. They did the job in one day. The best part was how well they cleaned everything up. We would recommend them to anyone who wants a quality roof job done in one day. We had no complaints.
