Rodney came out and looked at the job and gave us a thorough estimate. After we made our decision, he was able to schedule us right away and told us how much paint to supply, so there was no guesswork. Rodney and his courteous crew were super punctual and worked so efficiently that they completed the entire job done in one day. It turned out beautifully, and we would absolutely recommend them.

Rodney and his crew were great! They were very cooperative about rescheduling when necessary, and in working around other service people that were in the house. Rodney made sure that we were satisfied with every part of the work, put on an additional coat of paint where we thought the color looked uneven, and touched up anything that we thought needed it. He gave us a discounted price on repainting one of the bathrooms when we didn't like the color we'd chosen. They were careful, neat, very considerate, and went the extra mile to do a thorough job.

We were so lucky Rodney and his crew were available the day after we contacted him. We were visiting from out of town and were hoping to get the project finished in only a few days. As good luck would have it, he was available. was able to do an estimate the day we called, and was able to begin the job the next day. The men were professional, easy to have around, and finished the daunting task within the time frame they gave. I would definitely recommend them to someone looking for a good paint/wall repair crew.

Everything went very smoothly - I called for an estimate on Monday, met with him on Tuesday, and the painters arrived 8am sharp on Thursday. Rodney was professional, incredibly easy to communicate with, and the price was fair. His team did a wonderful job and cleaned up so well I could barely tell anyone had been there (except for my beautiful walls, of course!). He even picked up paint for me to save me a trip! I will definitely call him the next time I need some painting done.

One of the best painting crews I?ve ever experienced! Professional, skillful, neat, and most of all they meticulously cut in the trim better than I could have if I had taped it. When I contacted Rodney through Angie?s List, he responded within 24 hours and we scheduled a time for him to come by and look at the painting I wanted. After reviewing the rooms and details he had an estimate for me within 48 hours. Rodney and three other painters showed up on schedule and went straight to work. Quite, courteous, and working as a team, they completed our living room with a 24 foot ceiling, the dining room and entrance hall with 14 foot ceilings, a vaulted ceiling kitchen, two halls, a small closet, and master bedroom with a tray ceiling. The crown molding and chair rails in these rooms consisted of trim. The end result was beautiful!

Just fine. Quoted a price. It was a small job. He fit it in on a Saturday morning. Looked good. Good test run for much bigger job. Am waiting to get estimate. Will probably use on bigger job if numbers look ok.

Rodney arrived with his team and started the job right away, they were fast, clean and on-time. On 1/2 a day both of my daughters bedrooms got painted (double coating). They are so happy with the ew look that invited frients to come over to play over the weekend.

We are new to the area and found Rodney on Angie's list. After several quotes from other painters we decided on Rodney. His reviews were great, he was quick to quote and his price was very reasonable. We talked to him on a Friday and he and his crew, usually three other painters, started the work on the following Tuesday and completed the job on Friday. I was very impressed with not only the quality of the work but several other things. He and his crew always started at 8:00 AM every day. At the end of the day, Rodney would go room by room with what had been done and what was left to be completed. He and his crew were very courteous and at the end of the day the paint cans, materials and equipment were consolidated in one area and all work areas were left clean. We had a difficult bathroom that had moisture problems and bad previous painting. I really appreciated the extra effort put into the wall patch and preparation in this bathroom. We still have three bedrooms to be painted in a couple of months and we will use Rodney for the job.

Rodney and his crew completed the job in 5 days. They arrived early, had an organized plan for the job and proceeded according to the plan. They were neat and clean and never left the house messy. Each of their work areas were always cleaned and equipment, supplies, and materials were organized and neat in their work space within the house. Rodney kept me informed of the progress and of any additional items that needed attention. When Rodney completed the job, he left the house neat and clean. Rodney went out of the way to answer questions, address any concerns I had and was professional, pleasant, very up beat and positive. Everyone of the men working for Rodney were very pleasant and courteous. Everyone was working and completing tasks each time I was there when they were working. Rodney went the extra mile to address some issues that needed attention from prior work done and resolved those issues in a timely and professional manner. Rodney was very easy to work with and the work was done in no time. I spoke to him on one day and he and his crew were here the next. They completed the job - which was to paint a 2 story great room and stairwell - in one day and cleaned up nicely after. He was able to work around the crew installing our hardwood floors as well. I appreciate that he was responsive and communicated throughout the process. I was also very happy that he was able to get to it so quickly. The work was very nicely done and I am very happy.

This was my second experience with Rodney and his crew, and it was excellent. The response to my inquiries was prompt and courteous. The job was scheduled at the soonest available time they could do it, at a very fair price. The quality of the work has always been tremendous from this company. In this case, being able to trust them was particularly important, since I am still recovering from a major remodel. All the new kitchen cabinets have glass panes, and the interior of each of them had to be painted, as well as underneath the top cabinets, where there is ambiance lighting. So the painters had to be incredibly careful and detail-oriented. I was so happy to be dealing with a true professional who could offer advice where needed (we decided to use oil based paint for durability and beauty) and who could just "take care of it". He brought in a great crew and they finished in record time. It looks beautiful and I am completely satisfied with their work.

Rodney came on time, was very professional, did excellent work, and was in charge of the crew. You could not tell that the paint had been touched up; it all looked newly painted. The varnish work was also very nicely done. He did extra work without charge such as cleaning the foyer lamp and the second floor window which could only be leased with a tall ladder. The house looked so much better after he was done. The clean up was thorough and professional. After they left, I found a few other places that needed touching up and he came back immediately and did the work. His prices were much more reasonable than the other bids I got and the quality of the work was very good. He was very responsive. I will use him again.

From initial contact to job completion was a very short time span

Rodney is a pleasure to deal with-his bid was neither the lowest or the highest but was right in the middle. We feel that we got tremendous value for what we paid. Rodney really knows the painting business and the finished product was flawless. He and his men are very meticulous and neat and there was not a single drip anywhere when they were done. They are also very efficient-they completed the job in 4 days. We could not be more pleased with the job that Rodney and his crew did for us. The quality of paint that he uses (PPG Porter) is top quality. {Thanks also to Barry Childress at Childress Paints in Charlottesville who also took good care of us. He matched the colors perfectly and was very accommodating.} We are retired and have used a number of painters over the years. None even come close to the quality that Rodney provides. You will be extremely pleased if you hire him. Keep in mind that he stays very busy. However, he still managed to complete our job in a very timely fashion. Rodney and his team are great. They arrive when they say they will, they do what they promise to do and they do so on exactly the budget that was promised in the quote. I am a bit of a spaz when it comes to the details including getting every nook and seam of the wall exactly the way I like and Rodney went above and beyond to make sure all set. He kept my house clean and was respectful of my pets. After painting our nursery a bright yellow, I then decided that I instead wanted the trim and the closets white. Rodney came right back 4 days later on my timeline and fixed everything the way that I liked and he really made the room POP so to speak. The thing that I like about Rodney is that he is an over-communicator. He calls and confirms when he will be there, what will be done and how it is all going along the way. He then confirms that you are happy and that everything came together as planned. After the work is complete, he will ensure that you are 100% satisfied and would be so kind as to spread the good word. I will use him again in the future.

Rodney and crew painted many rooms of my new apartment -- living, dining, kitchen, bedroom, bath. Rodney was a real pro -- he showed up promptly with a great crew and a great attitude. i have been living in the Charlottesville area for 7 years ?we have not had good luck , with contractors . air flow put in a air/heater 7000?i flooded the house ,,,we had it mack morris replaced it , and the outside unit ?heat pump ..replaced all the duck work ?7000 ?needless to say there are a lot of dishonest people in this area?.however if you need a honest painter ?call Rooney Olson ?he and his crew have 75+ years of experience ?.the price was very fair?he shows up when he said and finished when he said ..this was good as i am selling my house and needed to get it on the market ?.this man is breath of fresh air ?i was in the trades for over 20 years ?i know a craftsman when i see it ..he went way beyond, what i asked him to do ?. i wish you all the best ,,,G

We got a couple of estimates on painting the interior of our home after researching Angie's List. Rodney came in with the best price. We loved Rodney and crew! They did a great job painting the interior of our home. They were so easy to work with and very flexible. The crew were very hard workers with good skills. Sometimes you get workers who you can hardly wait to get out of your house. These guys were a pleasure to have around. Everything was cleaned up every day and all trash removed. We did leave one garage bay empty for them to store all their supplies during the work which helped expedite things each day. We cannot say enough to recommend Rodney and crew- great experience!
