He is a good guy. He is courteous and prompt. He follows up and keeps you up on what's going on. He seems to know what he's doing. He's a handyman carpenter type, and he deserves the rating he has received on Angie's List. He doesn't waste time.

The sight that waited for me on my return went beyond anything I could have imagined. Not only were the deck and the gardening bench gloriously new and gleaming, but all the leaves had been removed from around the heat pump, the gardening shed had been completely cleaned out, everything had been organized in the shed, a little area where I had buried a beloved dog had been weeded (it was neglected), and mulch had been spread over it. In short, my deck area is absolutely beautiful, way beyond what I had expected. I would gladly use Mr. Noonan for just about any house/yard job I can imagine. It does not get any better than this man's work.

Mr. Noonan showed up early on the appointed day and proceeded to let me know what and how he would be working that day. He worked six hours in the heat. To reach areas he couldn't get with the ladder, he went up on the very high roof to get the job done. While up on the roof he inspected it and took care of a few issues that would have caused some problems in the future. Mr. Noonan went above and beyond the scope of the job and did outstanding work. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

Just an outstanding experience. Went above and beyond the call to duty to help on so many different jobs. Have already booked for two follow-up appointments.

After the work was completed, the trim looked as if it was newly-painted. It was a VERY hot day, but Joe kept on the job until it was completed. I have employed Joe on a number of jobs; gutter cleaning, installing dryer duct, sanding down doors that wouldn't close properly, repairing and cauking cracks between crown molding and ceiling, and between solid door panels and frames. His work is outstanding and his professionalism and integrity are at the very top of the scale. I would recommend his services without reservation.

He came out on the 6th of May this year to allow us to provide him with a list of tasks and to provide us a quote. He arrived on time and was very attentive and courteous as we discussed the variety of tasks we wanted addressed. Since he only works by the day not by the hour, we both agreed at the end of this visit that he had a full days work. We then scheduled the earliest date he had open for the work which was the 5th of July. He is typically fully booked this far in advance, sometimes further out than that. He promised to bring all the materials he would need for the job and to arrive at 9:00 am to begin work (he arrived 5 minutes early). He suggested that he do all the inside work first since he would be very dirty after completing the outside work. Although the outside work was our highest priority, he assured us that he would get our list completed. I then informed him that I had added some tasks and he still considered them in scope. He wore foot protection when entering the house. He went beyond what others might have done. For example, one of the tasks was to remove a broken rail from a rail fence and replace it. Instead of just leaving this eight foot long rail for me to dispose of, he cut it up into fireplace size pieces and stacked it on my neighbors wood pile (I don't have a wood burning fireplace). While installing the home owner provided gutter guards, he inspected the flashing around all the vents through the roof and reported which ones to keep an eye on. When I asked him when his "day" ended his response was "whenever". He was there for the day and after completing what he quoted, if there were other tasks, he would do them if he had the necessary material. He was very personable. It appears that his work was done right but only time will tell.

Very good experience - highly recommended. Joe came over and inspected my gutters first. He told me that overall they were fairly clean, though one was bent and not draining properly. He explained that we could try hanging the gutter higher to see if that would resolve the problem, but that we may need to install a new downspout. He also pointed out that a drain line needed to be extended further away from the house. Joe also advised that the leaking I was getting in the basement during heavy rains was likely due to not having a gutter where there should be one on the other side of the house. We arranged for a time in Joe's busy schedule to get all three tasks (repair the bent gutter, install a new drain line, and install a whole new section of gutter) done. Unfortunately, the soonest we could get this done happened to be during the week of my vacation, so I could not be at the house to meet Joe on the day of the work. To further complicate the matter, the new gutter needed to be installed directly above where the power lines run into the house, and required having the power to the house temporarily disconnected by the power company. We worked it out together, though, and Joe's can-do attitude and willingness to work with me being remote were extraordinary. I had the power cut early in the morning and Joe was there to meet the guy from Dominion for me. Throughout the course of the day, we were in contact, with Joe updating me on the progress and the successful completion of the work. We've had torrential downpours the past 3 nights and I've had NO water in the basement from the side of the house where we put up the new gutter. This is outstanding! Unfortunately, the bent gutter on the other side of the house is still not draining properly, and I am getting water in the basement on that side. Needless to say, I'm completely confident in Joe and have rehired him for the work. He is a true pleasure to work with. In addition to the quality of the work, I am especially impressed with Joe's dedication to customer service and communication. These are uncommon skills in the industry.

Joe showed up as scheduled for the quote. He did a very complete review of the work to be done, however due to scheduling we found someone else to do the job

If my conversation with the Noonans is any indication of the quality of the work they do, I would definiately use them. I will be keeping their phone number for future use.

He's fabulous! I expected our house to be completely torn up for days with lots of cleanup. Joe coordinated everything, along with doing much of the work himself, and accomplished all this within 8 hrs and cleaned up every step of the way. By the way, the inside of his truck is maintained in perfect order with all of his equipment. I think this says alot about the quality of someone's work. Our only concern is that his calendar is getting booked up and now that we know how great he is, we want to book him for many other jobs.

Quality of the work was excellent. Price was a higher, but you get what you pay for! I was more than satisfied with the quality of the work performed. I highly recommend this company.

I have a couple of very small garden beds and she fertilizes and since I am partly disabled now, she does some planting and cleaning. It is not extensive work that she needs to do, but that is what she does and that includes cutting back old stuff. I pay around $150 on that service. The work that she does is fantastic and we have become kind of friends, so she is really very good. She just keeps at it till it is done and she extremely pleasant. She does what needs to be done and not more than needs to be done, but knows what needs to be done in the sense that I do not.

He is an outstanding workman. He actually has a lot of experience and he told us what we needed even before we realized we needed it. He showed me areas in my house that needed attention immediately or in the future. Along with his expertise he is an incredibly kind man. He understood about scheduling around our needs. He handled things that I didn't even know I needed handled. He accepted deliveries and I didn't expect him to do that and he did. He is an incredibly good person. The price was outstanding; it was a good price for what he delivered.

I left a voicemail message asking for a return call. Call was returned in a timely manner-- the same evening. I explained the tree work I needed (remove 2 triple birches at roofline, trim a couple of trees). He was very honest about his one-man business, and the work I need would require at least 2 to 3 people, at least one able to climb and cut from up high. He recommended another company on Angie's List that would probably be able to do the job. I appreciated his up front honesty, and his recommendation of another company that could perhaps perform the work, for both of which I thanked him.

Joe is professional, punctual, and reliable. He does most of the work without any kind of supervision (I live in a different state). I trust him, and his judgment, implicitly. He is a hard worker who takes pride in doing things right, and frequently follows up after the job to ensure I'm satisfied with the end result. He's been to my place several times to do work, and I have him scheduled again later in February. Although his services do not come cheap, you definitely get your money's worth. He puts in a full day of hard work. I highly, highly recommend!

Joe always does a great job, taking care of all the details. He takes pride in his work, and usually takes care of some additional odds and ends as a bonus. For example, he blew all the leave off of our lawn after cleaning the gutter. Another time, he repaired our sliding door, just because he enjoys fixing things around the house. These qualities make him an excellent handyman.

He said that he would come back after my ceiling dried. He came back in July 2009, and said that I would have to take a whole week off from work because that is how long it was going to take him to do the job. He worked only one day, and I was out four days worth of work. Then, he never even gave me an estimate as to how much it was going to cost me. We argued severely about the amount of money that he charged me for one days worth of work. I gave him a check for $700. He called me because he knew I was very upset and he wanted to offer me other services to make up for money that I thought was owed me. He did send me a small check, but it was not adequate. I let it go and said I would never call him again. Very recently, I found out that the leak is back, and where he repaired the ceiling, it now has a crack that is over 12'' long. The paint that was used to paint the ceiling was poorly matched and it is very apparent. I sent him a note at the beginning of December, and I have yet to hear back from him. Also, he didn't bring all of his own equipment--he had to rummage through my late husband's equipment (plaster and mud) in order to fix the ceiling.

I liked his effort, and creativity. He found innovative solutions for my situation. The quality of the work was great.

Everything was very professional from start to finish. Joseph put us on the schedule, confirmed the date, and showed up when he said he would. The work exceeded our expectations, and we are planning to use him for some other work around our house. We felt that his price was reasonable for the services we received. His work has allowed us to put off buying a new roof for at least 5 years. He goes above and beyond what he promises, especially doing little things like cleaning our front porch and tidying up some items in our shed. The only drawback is that the wait time to get the work done is long. He will put you on a schedule, and will stick to that schedule. But it is often weeks in the future. So if timing is critical, that may be a factor. We assumed he was booked that much because he was worth it, and that seems to be true. Overall we are extremely happy with the work, and plan to use him many times in the future.

Joe did a thorough job and went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied. He even came back at a later date to fix a vent that was loose. He came on a Sunday and fixed it. He is a pleasure to work with.

I got his name from a neighbor and first used him to shorten some kitchen stools and take apart an old outside grill for disposal. His truck is IMMACULATE, he was cheerful, honest, and very skilled. Each time I asked for help he didn't hesitate to give me an honest appraisal. Once when he came over for a half hour job, interrupting another job he was on, he wouldn't take any payment. I have used many handymen over the years....I hope Joe stays healthy. He is the best.

I called yesterday and left a message. Joe called before noon the next day. I liked the way he told me some of the things he could not do as well as those he could. He recommended another person who might be able to start earlier and do all of the job. Joe invited me to call him back for more references if necessary or for other house repairs. I was impressed with his honesty and willing to help whether it meant he got the job or the job got done right and on time.

Although I did not go through with the work, this was a very positive experience. Phone calls were quickly followed up on. When he couldn't do the work/estimate due to conflicts he recommended another contractor and helped ensure that the transition was smooth. He followed up afterwards to ensure that everything went well. A pleasure to work with.

My initial phone call and others were returned promptly. He came out for an estimate prior to starting the work. We moved into the house 2 years ago and didn't know when the gutters were last cleaned, but water overflowed the gutters in even the slightest rain. Melting snow and ice over the winter had cause several of the gutters to separate from the house. They were also holding the weight ofaccumulated grit that had worn off the roofing material. He spent a long day cleaning out the gutters, reattaching them, and adding some attachments to control the water flow better. He was very professional in his work and knowledgeable about his craft. I will definitely call him again when needed.

I phoned him on the evening before and he promptly returned my call early the next day - he was at my house by the afternoon. He came on very short notice and moved a large refrigerator to my complete satisfaction. It was a more difficult job than anticipated due to the size and logistics but he handled it with ease, was very careful to prevent damage to the appliance and surroundings; put everything back together and charged a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend him for services listed. I will use him again and be happy to refer others to him.
