We had a difficult experience with Morris Lawn Care, and I would not recommend doing business with them. We hired them to seed parts of our yard where grass was missing , place sod, and put plantings along our porch. Initially, everything seemed great. There were a few weeks where we could not get in touch with them despite emails and calls, and they seemed to want a large portion of the contracted amount of money up front before doing any of the work. After doing part of the work, they asked for the remainder of the balance.When we mentioned that they had not done any of the plantings, which represented a large part of the work/cost, they said that they could not do them, because there was not enough money left. When I emailed them a copy of the quote including the plantings, showing that they had agreed to do this, they stopped responding to me. I have not heard anything back to multiple emails and calls in weeks, and they refuse to return any of my money or finish the job. We have paid them the vast majority of the job, but they have not started the most expensive portion. I am enclosing photos of some of the work they did. As you can see, it was not great. They did place sod for us in one area, and this has turned out nicely. I am most annoyed that they bailed halfway through the job, claimed there was not enough money (when we have a written quote from them and have paid everything as requested), and now are ghosting us about finishing the work. We tried to be flexible with covid, but we are now 5 months out and left with a job unfinished and a company that will not respond to us. If you have a choice, I would recommend going elsewhere.
