Mr. Weeks assured us that this was no problem and that it would be done well before our refinancing which was scheduled for the end of April. After a couple of weeks, work started on our garage. We were satisfied with the results for the first half of the garage. The footing, foundation and framing went up fairly quickly. Work slowed considerably after that. Although he assured us repeatedly that the work would be completed by 13 April, it wasn't. His excuse was always that the rain delayed progress on the garage, even when it was the inside work that had to be finished. As our closing date approached, we had to repeatedly remind Mr. Weeks that we needed it finished. He completed enough so the appraiser could finish our refinance appraisal. It took over three more weeks for him to finish the garage. He gave us one key in early May and said that he would give us the other one when his workers finished the inside of the garage. After they finished we reminded him several times that he still owed us a key and that he still hadn't provided us the screens for the windows he installed in the garage. He told us that the extra key had been lost and that he would have someone come and replace the lock. After waiting a month, I replaced the lock myself. He still hasn't provided us with the screens to the windows. He's given us excuses every time we've asked; they're on order, the company that he ordered them from went out of business. During the first half of the project when we were still happy with his performance, we asked about having gravel brought in for our roadway and our driveway paved. We contracted with him to provide this service. A crew came in and paved the driveway. Instead of sloping downward to let water run off the driveway, we noticed that there are a couple of low spots in the driveway. We asked to have these fixed and were told that they would be. We have repeated called as they haven't come out to fix them. In August, someone came out on a Friday and said he would be back Monday or Tuesday at the latest. He never came back. Mr. Weeks talked a lot about ensuring that we were satisfied with his work, but he has failed to follow through with his words. As it became more and more apparent that he would complete the job on time, he stopped answering our phone calls or took a significantly long time to return them. By significant I mean days and weeks.
