Discover Granite Countertops

The crew arrived right on time and were very receptive to my comments and questions. The kitchen was covered with drop cloths during the duration of the job. After completion no signs of the work performed was noticeable. Jose was the contact person and very friendly and courteous. The bottom mounted sink was installed but they do not do the plumbing hook ups. So be prepared for the plumbing work after the counter top is installed.

Ugur was very helpful at the Charlottesville office and provided a prompt, very competitive quote. Very transparent pricing in $/sf. When I decided to move forward with the project, Victor came to do the final measurements and specifications. He had some good ideas to improve fabrication. The the next week he returned with his team and led the installation which took about 2 hours start to finish. Final result was beautiful and fairly priced. A+ overall.

In our final renovation project (kitchen and 2 previous bathrooms), we thought we'd "go easy" and just pick out something quick, no fuss/no muss for our new master bathroom vanity at our very conveniently located Lowes. Probably a basic cultured marble would be fine--how hard could that be? Well, it was hard. Too hard, in fact--poor selection, no available samples to take home, less-than-confident installer who came to measure, no way to have the work done without purchasing sinks from Lowes (none of the Lowes sinks met our specs!)....we bailed after realizing this was not going to go well and we would not going to be happy with the result. Our contractor suggested we contact Discover Granite & Marble----and hallelujah, what a wonderful experience we had. Omar was immediately responsive--came out SAME DAY to measure for us and was terrific in helping us select a beautiful granite--far superior to the "good enough" mindset we had at Lowes. Fabrication took what felt like the blink of an eye, the sink cut outs were perfect, and installation was both professional and flawless. Personal service, great price (perfectly beautiful steel gray granite for LESS than Lowe's cultured marble estimate), highest quality workmanship. And oh - did I mention that Lowes needed 30 days for fabrication? Measure to installation---working with Discover Granite took all of 6 days. Highly highly recommend!! If I had a time machine, we'd use it to go back and work with Discover Granite for our daughter's bathroom, guest bathroom, and kitchen countertops.

I purchased countertop and kitchen sink. Two days after I visited Charlottesville store, technician come to my house to measure countertop. My second store visit was to decide on granite grade and color. After I decided: granite color, edge style and sink we agreed on price and delivery time. Week later installers come to install countertop. Work was done quickly, clean and professional. I'm very satisfied with Discovery work, and would recommend them to the friend.

Very very well

Some friends used them for countertops so we decided to use them based on their recommendation. Was very pleased with the entire process. Very patient and informative with all our questions. Did their best to make us comfortable with an expensive decision. Once we were ready to give the go-ahead, the turn around time was amazing. We picked out our stone on Wednesday and they installed on Monday. The installation crew was very professional, polite, and took great care to keep messes controlled and to prevent damage to other furnishings. They took their time to do it right.

The workman did a very good job. I am a little concerned about a front seam by the sink but I'm not sure if it's normal or not.

Discover Granite installed new kitchen counter tops, a new fire place surround, and shelves next to the fireplace. Discover did a terrific job, and we are very pleased. We would definitely use them again.
