Paul completed the job several years ago when I was not a member of Angie's List. So I am writing a review now because it was unforgettable. He did an excellent job! A crane came to lift the branches from the backyard and move them very carefully between my neighbor's house and our house to the front yard. It was a huge job! Paul Cox Tree Service is the only tree company I call for tree removal.

They did an incredible job on my tree removal and at a very reasonable price. I was amazed at how efficient and precise they were in the very tight space where they had to work (ha d to navigate around the house, a deck, a shed, multiple neighbors' fences, etc). They were in and out in under 4 hours. I was a bit nervous leading up to it because we had to get permission from a neighbor to temporarily remove a fence and do a lot of the cutting and removal on their property but you wouldn't even know they used that space--they left it in near perfect condition. I am extremely pleased with how the work went and I highly recommend Cox's tree services! I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and wouldn't even bother getting estimates from anyone else. Paul and crew arrived on time, worked efficiently, and effectively. They were professional, considerate of the surroundings, and courteous. All remnants were removed and debris cleaned up before collecting the check at the end of the two day job. It was a fascinating process to witness. They used a crane and industrial sized chipper along with a couple other pieces of equipment. Check out their website to see video footage.

Mr. Cox came within the hour of us calling him, to give us an estimate. Mr. Cox and crew took down the tree, on the date specified and cleaned up after. Did an impeccable job in tight quarters!

Paul was very professional. Took down a 125 yr old dead oak by our house and carefully lowered all the branches to avoid damage to our home and landscaping. His team was very efficient and worked briskly. They moved the large logs to where we wanted them and chipped the rest. He has all the necessary equipment. We have used him multiple times and have always been very pleased with the work

Cox's did some work for a neighbor of mine a couple of months ago and while they were there I asked them for an estimate to take down 5 trees on my property. They gave me an estimate of $2,000 and said that the price was a little higher because they would have to bring a crane in for the 5th tree that is up a hill next to my house. I thought it was fairly reasonable but decided to wait a bit to have the work done. Last week I asked them to come back and give me an estimate to take down the 4 easier trees and expected the estimate to be significantly lower. They called back 5 or 6 days later and gave me the same $2,000 estimate to take down 4 trees as they had given me to take down 5 trees, one of which required the use of a crane! I called them back just now and their reasoning was that they are busier now.

We got three estimates. His was by far the lowest. He and his crew did an excellent job. They showed up when they said they would and stayed until all they could do was done. We will use this company for future work.

They were efficient and proficient.

Mr Cox always arrived when he said he would, completed the work, had us inspect his work and cleaned the area and charged us a fair price. Mr. Cox also has a man he calls if he encountes a squirrels nest and the man nurses the babies until they can be released.

He is very good. I have used him several times. He has always been here when I needed him. He is a good man. He knows his trees and does excellent work. He helped me out a lot during Hurricane Isabel.

His name is Paul Cox and he is a very good guy. He is not a big company. He did very fair, quality work. He made time for me because the tree was in a precarious state and there was a hurricane coming and he sort of bumped me up his schedule to take it down before the hurricane. He was very responsive to my needs and he was priced fairly. There are a lot of tree services that try to catch you when people are in need as when a hurricane is coming through.
