They did have to come back out for one mistake. They had to take the old heat-pump and furnace out, so it took three or four days. They left the area clean. I would call them again. The heat wouldn't come on and when they found their mistake, they corrected it without any charge. They had good accountability.
Description of Work: They installed a whole new heater and air conditioner unit.

The part only lasted 10 years. It's not them, it was the manufacturer of the unit, though. They could do it right the first time to make their service better. The workers were very professional. They were neat and clean. They cleaned up the area because the heat-pump got hit by lightening, so it was a big mess.

Description of Work: We had an awful experience. Owner came to our house to look at water damage in mid-November, 2014. We told him that our new Homeowner's policy required the repair for our coverage to take effect. He provided a reasonable estimate and proposal, saying two men could do the work in one day. We accepted immediately. We tried to schedule service many times and, although most of our emails were ignored, several times he did respond and agreed to schedule the service. Today, 4 months later, he emailed us saying that he was too busy and we should find someone else. Perhaps we were naive to wait this long for the service, but we trusted him. I wouldn't suggest anyone else do that, as he is very unreliable.

I strongly recommend that you not even consider Central Virginia Waterproofing (CVW) if you foundation needs to be waterproofed! I am not an expert, but it seemed to me that they did a respectable job of the waterproofing itself. It?s what they did before and after the waterproofing that has driven me crazy! To actually perform the waterproofing, CVW had to dig a 4 foot trench along the foundation where it was to be waterproofed. The first mistake was that they didn?t skim off the topsoil and store it separately. Then when they filled in the trench after doing the waterproofing, the soil on top was just clay. They seeded, but only a fraction of the grass sprouted and so we had giant mud puddles all winter. We had to replace six rhododendron bushes ? but half of them died because of the poor soil. They transplanted a marvelous dogwood tree but it died too. This Spring it became apparent that CVW used inexpensive seed on the lawn, and where we do have grass it is very coarse ? not at all like the rest of our lawn! Then top everything off, his staff dumped a truck load of clay, laced with bricks and chunks of concrete in our front yard; we have no idea where the clay came from, but it?s not from our project. We gave no permission for it to be dumped on our property ? indeed we weren?t even asked about it. The pile is about 150 feet from the house ? but right in the line of sight from the front door and dining room bay window. When we had the CVW principal, Howard Pape, over to see this unacceptable landscape situation he flatly refused to take corrective action. My wife and I are (or were) very proud of our landscaping, put a lot of work into it, and were decimated when it was partially destroyed!
