Bert Holladay Painting Contractor

Bert Holladay was hired by the general contractor working on our remodeling project. The paint job itself was fine--good coverage, straight lines--but after all of the contractors left we discovered numerous ghostly white spots on the newly refinished floors in all three rooms. It looks as if the painters rinsed their brushes and then dripped watered-down paint on the floor. They should have noticed and cleaned up while the spots were fresh, but they did not. They also left a white handprint on the wall of the front porch, spilled paint on the floor of the porch, and spilled paint on the carpet of the room in which they stored their paint cans during the project. (This is old carpet that we are going to remove at a later date, but we did not tell the painters it was OK to treat it carelessly.) Bert Holladay has a high opinion of himself and high prices to match. Before we knew about the sloppiness, we asked him to bid on a small project at our rental property; we had someone else do it at less than 40% of his estimate. We would not use him again.
