Not good!!!! This contractor used pry bars to remove boards from side of townhouse, left 24 holes in the side of house. the holes measure 4 inches by 4 inches. When I asked about the holes, I was told "we did not do it". "The holes were already there". my next question was why did you not mention the holes to me. The answer I got was," I cant answer that". This contractor not only left holes in our house, they left a pile of boards with nails in them laying in our yard. This contractor had the nerve to send me a bill for $1200.00 After checking with the state , I find out this contractor has not had a valid contractors license since March 2007. Beware of this business, you to will get ripped off.

Only 1/3 of grass seed planted ever sprouted; there were large holes in the ground that were not filled in prior to seed planting; some wood beams from a flower bed no longer in use were not removed as discussed; the topsoil put in the flower bed appeared to come from where the grass seed was planted because it was full of rocks and stones; crew left soda bottles in bushes; after work began and was almost done owner said he accidently left out the price of installing the steps in the estimate and wanted more money. Because he was an individual trying to make a living I split the difference with him but was not happy about it.
Description of Work: Rake up rocks and soil in yard, apply grass seed and straw; install landscape steps leading down to backyard; bring in topsoil for large flower bed.

Response from A Better Solution
When the job was completed home owner was walked around and shown all of the completed work and they said they were very pleased. Owner was told that the grass seed would have to be watered every evening ? Yes when the job was complete realized estimate did not reflect price of landscaping steps WE give the customer the option of how they wanted to handle this. They decided to pay half of the cost of the steps .I ask them several times before we left the job site were they ok with that and ask several time if they were pleased and every time they said YES. We were never contacted by the owner saying they had any problems . (work done in april complant posted in july)

Description of Work: They removed a honey bee hive that was in one of our walls. They were very detailed, knowledgable and attentive. They used "green" methods and natural repellents to make sure that the bees did not return. They followed up their visit with two calls. One to review methods to keep the bees from returning and a second to discuss their cleanup after the removal, it had to be done by cutting a hole in an interior wall, and make sure we were satisfied with their efforts to keep everything clean. This is not a huge corporation that uses low wage help in uniforms. This is a highly professional knowledgable, presumably, family business that takes personal pride in what they do. They were a pleasure to work with and I am certain that if there had been any issues, there were not, they would have returned and fixed what ever the problem was.
