Darren Smith Appliance Repair

Darren is very professional and was able to repair our refrigerator. However, being a small business, he cannot stock parts and must order them from the manufacturer or other parts suppliers which led to a longer time to have our appliance repaired. In the case of our refrigerator it was somewhat of an inconvenience, but understandable.

Darren was excellent -- I called on a Monday, he came the next day, and fixed the machine on the spot. Highly recommended.

Darren was responsive and scheduled the job as promised. He DOES however charge a trip charge that was not mentioned during the initial phone call. I guess it may have been my fault since I assumed that there would be no trip charge or service call fee based on the reviews and what is stated under the information tab. As promised he called back with a quote for the repair which was broken down as the trip charge for the first visit, parts and additional service fee to complete the job. We decided not to go with the repair as the cost was similar as buying a new dishwasher so we were stuck with the trip charge.

He arrived promptly. knew exactly what was needed.

Darren picked up the phone himself when I called this morning, and was able to advise me over the phone that my washing machine wasn't worth fixing. Because he was generous with his time and advice, he'll be the first one I call next time I need an appliance repair.

Darren arrived on time and when he didn't see our car in the driveway, he didn't just assume we were gone. He called me to find out if we still wanted the service. My husband was home and he went in and fixed the dishwasher, which was in terrible shape. It was not cleaning a single dish, but it was running through the cycle. Darren knew how to clean out all the places that could get clogged in the circulation system of the dishwasher and in an hour, it was running beautifully. Darren does not take credit cards, and my husband did not have a check, so even though we were first-time customers, he trusted us to send him a check. We are very satisfied with his work.

Mr. Smith was remarkably quick, and responsive, thorough, helpful, and above board. After testing my washing machine, he was able to establish that it was old enough for repairs not to make sense. He gave me recommendations about what to think about in replacing it, and moreover, showed me how to work through the problem I was having until I can replace it. He is an outstanding service man.

Darren gets my vote as the nicest repair guy ever! Not only did he show up on time, with a part to fix the problem but HE CALLED ME THE NEXT DAY TO SEE HOW IT WAS WORKING! Since the part he installed didn't work, he ordered a new one and installed it the following day, without charging me for the labor It is all fixed now, and I'm a happy customer. If everyone had Darren's attitude and work ethic, the world would be a better place. fic

He came the same day I called. He had to order a part but was able to get the dishwasher functioning until the part came in. He called 2 days later to set up a time to come and repair. He was always on time. A very pleasant fellow. I will call him for all our large appliance repairs.

Repaired my dishwasher. It had a broken temperature shutoff fuse. Darren showed up on time, figured out what the problem was, and fixed the dishwasher on the first visit. He is very friendly and professional and I can recommend him to anyone in the area who needs appliance repair.

Their work and the cost are fine. I would rate them highly. I would use them again in the future.

Darren took my call regarding my broken dishwasher and we had an appointment the next business day to diagnose the problem. He quickly figured out that the motor was shot and put one on order. A few days later he came back to installed the motor in less than an hour. He was great to work with and I would definitely call him again. His topics of conversation got a little too political for my liking, but I'm happy to tune that out in exchange for a reliable serviceman.

Darren called me back within 30 mins after leaving a voice mail message. He was at my door within 10 minutes of speaking with him. He diagnosed the problem and replaced a blown fuse in about 15 minutes. I could not be happier with his service.

Throughout the process Mr Smith was cordial and courteous. He is very efficient and highly reliable. He's a consumate professional and I will use his services in the future.

When I first called, he was able to give us an appointment the next day. He called my husband before the appointment to give us his ETA so that we did not need to wait around for him. He immediately understood what the problem was, explained what had happened (the connections on the knobs on the range had come loose, which was causing it to short out), and fixed it. We were very happy with the service.

Overall the job was performed well. They arrived on time, updated me with what they thought the problem was and performed the fix. They showed me the defective part and why it could have been causing the problem. They also performed a quick fix they saw.

I may have spent $150 for the repair each of them. He was very professional and also is extremely Christian and he likes to give you the card of his boss. It is kind of amazing and perfectly fine, but it may put some people off. He was very good, solid work and a solid worker and very honest. I liked him and that’s why I brought him back to do the fridge and he had come the first time to repair the washer.

Darren was able to work us in 3 business days and brought all the necessary equipment with him. The job took around 45 minutes - 1 hour and was no problem. Our washing machine was up and running, good as new. As mentioned by a previous poster, there was a rubbery smell for the first day of use, but it was not in the clothes. The smell disappeared after 2-3 washes and has not recurred (15-20 cycles later). Darren is very professional and I was comfortable with him in my home. This was an easy experience and I would not hesitate to re-use his service or recommend him to others.

We called Mr. Smith over the weekend and he returned our call on Monday. He was able to come out that Monday afternoon and was on time. He quickly assessed the situation and looked under the washer to find a broken coupling. He had the replacement part in his van--which was of higher quality than the one originally on the washer itself. Within 30 minutes the washer was repaired and working again. The only downside was a burning smell after Mr. Smith left and I went to wash a load of laundry..I think the washer was getting used to the new part and running again...once the washer ran through a full cycle it was fine and the smell disappeared. This was not his fault--but something I wasn't expecting to occur.

Darren was responsive initially, but he did not let my tenant nor I know what time he was going to show up for the initial appointment. Once he came he was able to diagnose the problem and order the part to repair the washer. Due to his schedule he was unable to come and fix the washer for two weeks. He installed the timer this morning and did so in a short amount of time and the washer works great.

Fixed the problem. Appliance repair is never cheap, but his labor rate was comparable to all the other ones we called, and he was much more responsive. We found him very professional.
