Description of Work: I had an electric dryer that needed repair. He replaced a fuse, and the dryer worked well when he left. Less than a week later, the dryer was overheating. He came right out and replaced another part without the service charge. Prompt and professional service at a reasonable price.

Description of Work: Darren arrived a little later than he planned; but he called a head to let me know that he was running late for our 11am-1:00pm time window and to check on whether I still wanted him to come. He found the problem with my 11 year old GE range, but did not have the necessary parts to make the repair. He asked if we could change our plans and be at home again later that afternoon if he was willing to get the parts from Lowe's and return to finish the job. We agreed; Darren returned at 3:30pm with the parts and completed the repair the same day. We were happy with his service, his professional manner and his work was excellent.

Description of Work: Darren fixed some sort of drain component in the back of our Samsung french door refrigerator because it was freezing and therefore leaking. When I called him he seemed to know exactly what was wrong with it and was correct. The only difficulty was trying to arrange a time that he could do the work. He seemed to have a very rigid time frame so I ended up having my husband go into work late on that day.

Description of Work: Darren replaced the control board on our Maytag refrigerator, and reset the panel settings. He was thorough, prompt, and professional. The part was expensive, but he had told me that up front, so there were no surprises. I would use him again in the future.

Description of Work: This was a service call to evaluate my dryer. He thoroughly explained what needed to be replaced. When he gave me a estimate on the price of the replacement parts, he also suggested I could probably get them cheaper on line. If that is what I wanted to do he would be willing to return and install them for me. I mentioned I was going to get him to come back and look at my ice maker. He asked me what the problem was then proceeded to fix it! I got two services for the price ignore!

Description of Work: Darren fixed my ice maker for $80 which he guaranteed. He also fixed my dishwasher for $180. I thought the dishwasher was a little high. He also recommended that's we replace it. I wish he would have said don't waste your money on fixing this one, go ahead and buy another one. Because in the end we had to replace it.

+ -1 moreThe thermometers we keep in both sides of our refrigerator/freezer showed that the temperatures were above safety levels. Instead of calling a random company in the Yellow Pages, we found Darren on Angie's List and made an appt. for the next day. On the day of the appt. he called ahead as we requested him to give us 15 minutes warning before he'd arrive (he gave us a window of time he'd arrive when we made the appt.). Darren went to work right away and tested the circuit board that controls the auto defrost cycle. It wasn't working. He had the part in his van ($96 of the total) and replaced the board. I had emptied the freezer into our deep freeze so Darren was able to use a steamer to defrost the coils in the freezer. Darren was very polite and professional. He does work on laundry as well as kitchen appliances and I'll be sure to call him for any future needs!

+ -1 moreCalled on a Friday; Darren said he wouldn't be able to come until Monday and gave a 2-hour window when he would come. He showed up right in the middle of the window after calling ahead. The refrigerator required a new relay, which Darren had on hand, and the repair took about 10 minutes. He was friendly and respectful and took a few additional minutes to answer some questions I had about our oven; I was quite pleased with the experience. His per-visit fee ($85) was slightly higher than other outfits I contacted, but I was glad to pay it.
