Gary Davis Cabinets, Inc.

My husband and I were so excited to work with Gary Davis and have him create and install our home office with solid cherry wood cabinets. But our experience has been a very negative one. We discussed an installation timetable with him, and found that we could move up our project to accomodate his schedule earlier than we had planned. But once we gave him a very large percentage of the full purchase price (i think 50%) he delayed installation, then installed only 1 /2 (bottom layer of cabinets with no surface, so unusable) and then again delayed approximately 8 weeks to install the remainder. We paid him in full at that time since he said there were only a few minor things to complete. We were willing to work with him and accommodate all of his reasons for these delays, such as worker illness, overwork, etc. But since we paid him in full, in November, we have been waiting for him to install the last shelf and drill the last holes for grommets. We have also discovered that the holes drilled for electrical cords do not accommodate 3 prong cords, we did not receive dovetail joints on our drawers although we paid for them, and we received veneered wood (which we discovered by looking at the holes that were drilled for cords) instead of solid cherry. We have called Gary cordially at least several times a month since November with no response. We even told him he could come "after hours on his way home" since we basically live in his neighborhood. We are dumbfounded by Gary Davis's disrespect and lack of integrity. We would never recommend him to anyone. We even sent him a letter asking him to please finish the job or we would need to take other actions. No response. But he is active on Facebook so we know there has been no tragedy to keep him from completing his work.

Excellent contractor that works neatly, on time, beautiful workmanship, helpful with selections of materials, colors, patterns, was lowest cost bidder, and the installation was expertly completed. Would absolutely use this vendor again and will do a call back to do other cabinets in the near future for our bathrooms. Few contractors end a job working for us and leaving us in total satisfactions, but this is one of those very good ones.
