Wall Coverings by Ron McKee

Ron is fabulous. He shows up on time (he is not a minute late!) and cleans up after every day. He is very detailed in his work and is a perfectionist. I have used him to wallpaper my master bedroom, dining room and do the wainscoting. He has white washed my fireplace and replaced and painted some crown molding in my entry way. I will use him again and again. A+

This is my second time hiring Mr. McKee for interior work and as usual it was perfect. We regretted not waiting for him to be available to renovate a time sensitive complete kitchen remodel project as he would have done 100% better than Home Depot which was an unprofessional disaster and was not even remotely completed at the agreed time. Ron McKee basically does almost anything interior. He does it well, he does it neatly and professionally. He obviously takes pride in his work. I will continue to use his services when he is available.

I would have posted this review sooner but was distracted by a very bad plumbing job with another contractor. You would be a fool not to use Mr. Mckee. This guy was outstanding. I thought he was a bit pricey at first but the quality of his work was of such a high standard that I quickly realized he was worth every cent. He is notably quick, extremely clean and neat. He showed up on time and if he was going to be even slightly later than planned, he called. High quality, efficient and speed, describes his work. He is a true professional. I was quite pleased and very impressed with his work and intend to use him again as well as recommend him to family, friends and commercial contacts.

He did good work, and completed the job within one day. However, we found his price to be quite high for the short amount of time it took him to complete the job. Basically, we thought that he should have lowered the final price since he gave an estimate based on three days of work, and it only took one day.

He is as neat as a pin. He is very neat and if he says he is going to be at 7 in the morning he would he in at 7 and he prefers the early hours and that is wonderful. You are not waiting on him and you are getting up while he is knocking on your door. That is ideal to me. He is so punctual and if he tells you something then you can take it to the bank. He is just very good. He came and he wallpapered. He removed all of my wallpaper in my kitchen and that is a big job. He painted after that. Anytime you remove wallpaper you got to fix some walls and everything is not going to go smoothly. He cannot fool around and make a wall or something. He does his very best to make everything to look as nice as possible. It depends on how the person put up the wallpaper and stuff like that and thats what he deals with. He never knows that until he gets started. He tells you what to expect and what could be the problems. He did a good job. I had some places where my walls were looking rough and he did his best to smooth that out. He does interior painting but you can check with him if he does exterior because I never asked him. He is also good in color consultation. He has worked with different designers and he has his own eye now. He is going to come back and work on my powder room. Once he takes the wall paper out I don't have to hire somebody else to take out the vanity. He would do that and put all the stuff together. He does handyman kind of service too. That is really nice. When I took out the wallpaper from my kitchen he put in my new faucet. I got a new instant hot and he put that up and he also put up a new soap dispenser. All he wants to do is make sure you have everything there and that is another good thing. He is very good at organizing the customer. He makes sure we have everything before we call him and there is no point wasting time and having to come back. He is very good at organizing you. He is in and out and if there is something you want him to see if he could do a better job then he will come and do the best he can. The previous guy who did the walls filed some walls and some he didn't and so they were messy. After he finished painting I asked Ron if he could do a few jobs for me and he did. I was really pleased. I am like any other home owner and asked if he could come another day and he said he had some other jobs. He had some other things for me like removing the wallpaper and painting but I was sure of that. Then I asked him some questions about my kitchen and he said he wouldn't even do that and he saved me money. He suggested I get a new faucet and as my instant hot looked a little crazy he suggested a new one and said it will look good. He was right and I know he works with a designer. He is so neat and he won't come in and accidentally put a hole in your wall. He is very neat and very clean. He is cleaner than I am. If for some reason he is running late he will let you know. He works early hours and so he doesn't work past 3 pm. He will leave you a note saying that he forgot to sweep up and it is about the dirt you had when he came. I think he is pretty good.
