I choose CSA Granite because the price was much less than many other granite companies. They made 3 trips to my house to demo and measure at the times I requested and then install 3 days later. During measurement, Albert explained they might need to cut into the wall to make the granite fit properly. When they placed the granite on the counters, the overhang next to the stove was too long. This is my fourth kitchen remodel/granite install and they were the only ones one without much equipment on the truck. Rather than trim the granite, his men cut my wall in the corner. Then they shoved the too long piece into the piece next to it (touching at right angle) which pushed it into the newly cut wall. Unfortunately they only made a cut in the corner and not all the way down the wall. Pushing it inside the corner wall only, forced it to pull away from the wall at the other end of the piece. I told the installer the granite looked crooked. He agreed and said the granite hung over the cabinets 1/4 inch more at the end. So they pushed it into the corner more. It still looked crooked, but he said it was within 1/8 of an inch end to end. After he left, I measured it and the difference it hangs over the cabinets is 1/2 inch from one end of the cabinets to the other and visible to the eye. There is also a gap where the granite pulled away from the wall. Although the backsplash hides the top of the gap, the gap on the side is visible. So, if price and speed are important to you they are fine. If anything comes up during your install, they are not very flexible. I've had some leaking into my sink base b/c the installers did not caulk around the sink after they installed it. Also, I had to seal the granite right away b/c water was "staining" it instead of rolling off.

They are very professional, great price and selection. There were a few hiccups but nothing too major. It had to be rescheduled on their end after someone did not show for the appointment, however a phone call came and they were very apologetic, no excuses either. The only negative was they made cut in our home for the cook top and it caused white dust on everything and consequently I had to rewash everything that I had pulled out due to the dust.

Great experience. Would definitely use again. Slightly fewer choices than some of the other places, but plenty for what we needed. Sales staff (primarily Josef) was very helpful, but not pushy at all. Price was outstanding – 35% less than the most expensive option we found, 20% less than the next least expensive. Entire job took 1 (very long) day. Removed unusual pieces in the morning to use as patterns. Brought the granite back that night and installed it. Did it right the first time. Quality of the granite appears to be the same as other places we checked. Sink they provided was very good. They arranged for a plumber and it went great. Looks to me to be a very professional job. I will be back for the bathrooms.

I was referred to the Stone Studio by a marble and granite wholesaler on Dorr Ave. I needed 2 beveled thresholds of precise dimension to transition to 2 different tiled areas - and I needed them 'yesterday' to accommodate the tile installers schedule. I called the Studio, explained the situation, and the gentleman told me there were numerous scraps I could choose from in the yard, and, yes, they could fabricate to the precise dimensions that afternoon. I came in with the two tiles, and the gentleman was very kind in the time he took to go through *numerous scrap pieces with me. We found 2 *perfect pieces...and a few hours later, I was on my way home with custom thresholds! Have you ever had anyone comment on a threshold before? These get rave reviews - and cost the same as the generics you find at the big home fix-it stores!!! WOW
Description of Work: helped me select 2 different marbles and then fabricated 2 thresholds on the same day, while I waited!

The process was a pleasure from beginning to end. The folks at the Stone Studio were very easy to work with. I visited the store and spoke to a sales representative about the countertop. The price for the granite I was looking for was considerably lower than other local stores including Granite Express. The pricing at other stores was based on using remnants while Stone Studio's price was based on using a full slab. About 1week before the vanity was ready for the countertop, I called Stone Studio to finalize my order. Stone Studio told me to let them know when our vanity was ready for a countertop and they would send someone right out to measure. In fact, they did send someone the same day that I called to tell them that it was ready. The fabrication process was completed within a couple of days of placing the order and the subsequent installation process went very smoothly. The installers arrived on time. When I inspected the countertop just before installation I noticed that the bevel on the edges was smaller than I expected. The installers offered to increase the size of the bevel on the spot. I decided against this but it was very nice to have that option made available. The final product definitely met my expectations. I would recommend Stone Studio to anyone.

Joseph was very professional and helpful in selecting the granite. We visited his showroom in Chantilly 3 times and he was very patient in showing the granite slabs. The price was very competitive and he did not nickel and dime us for things like cuts and mounting the sink. The price was all inclusive of material and installation. The moment we confirmed Joseph was at our place to take measurements. The installation was done within a week as promised. The crew was very professional and seems like they knew what they were doing. There was an extra cut around a pillar. I am very happy the way they made that cut for this pillar. On top of that they had great sense of humor :). My general contractor did not want to cut the shims under the countertop used for balancing it. I called Joseph and going out of the way he sent his crew again. This job should have been done by my general contractor but Joseph accommodated me.

As part of a project to update our master bath to get the house ready to put on the market, we wanted to replace the original, 20-year-old cultured marble double sink vanity top with a new one of granite. We went to Home Depot and Lowes and several companies that were highly rated on Angie's List, and got a variety of prices. At The Stone Studio, we found a high-end remnant we really liked, and after some discussion the price was quite a bit less than we had found elsewhere for lower-grade granite. Joseph came to our house right then to take the measurements. When we were finally ready for the vanity top and finalized the deal, he offered to deliver as soon as the next day! We wound up doing it two days later; they came on time (actually a few minutes early), and completed the installation quickly and neatly. (We didn't need to have them handle faucets installation or any plumbing.) After they'd left, my wife was concerned about the look of the white caulk around the new backsplash, but the next morning we found it was the kind that goes on white but turns clear when it cures. The improvement is dramatic - the counter is gorgeous! Lots of stone places have a wide variety of stone, as does The Stone Studio; probably others offer quick turnaround; I'm sure there are many who do good work and are easy to deal with. But The Stone Studio did all this at a substantially lower price than we found elsewhere. (After we made our decision, but before the final arrangements were made, I told our realtor that we were replacing the vanity top, and she said she'd just found a new place to recommend for granite - it turned out to be The Stone Studio!) I highly recommend them.

Measurement was good. Ogee edges of countertop were done well. Cuts/finishing on side and backsplash were very rough and ragged-looking, and the clear caulk they used to seal the edges to the wall did not conceal the defects. Edges of holes cut for the faucet were ragged and in some cases chips had been broken off and replaced with adhesive. Several scratches and rubs on the surface of the countertop. We asked the manager to come and take a look to see if it met his standards. He did come out and said that he would replace the side and backsplash marble pieces, but that I would have to remove the old ones and install the replacements. He also stated that the finishing already looked acceptable to him and he didn't expect it to get any better on the replacement pieces. Decided not to attempt a replacement to prevent any further damage/repair to the walls.

They did an amazing job. They accidentally cut the wrong slab size and they immediately, at their own expense, order another slab and fixed it. It was just a really great job. My interior designer thought that the price would be a lot more than what they charged me. It included a beautiful designer sink and faucet. I was not happy when the cut out was wrong, and they immediately fixed it for me. I thought I ordered the plain edge but I forgot that, for no extra cost, I could get a fancier edging. When it was put in I thought I ordered the plain. They were so responsive even though that was my fault. They were also right on time.
Description of Work: They replaced my kitchen counter tops with granite. I also purchased a new faucet from them.
