The Model Home Look

The experience was good. He came and gave me some ideas. He did what he had to do, unfortunately it didn't work for my house. He was punctual, and he seemed to try and give his best shot at giving me something new. He came through with some alternative stuff.

The owner, Mike Ford, met with us in person and was very professional. We received numerous photos from the computer generated design and $500 credit towards work if we contracted with the Model Home Look. We also received a good explaination of the contracting process, how the company works and approximate cost range for our design based on materials selected.

It was good. He was an efficient guy. We decided not to do anything with the results, but we were satisfied. They were very responsive to our scheduling needs. I have no complaints. The representative obviously knew his stuff, and he came prepared. I was completely satisfied with his analysis and he did his job. He was here roughly an hour, and he took his time.

It was okay. He did the design but didn't really want to do my job because he was looking for a bigger project.

This service was advertised as worth $1500. Laughable. After he visited my home the provider sent me two renderings, which didn't even show the work which I was interested in. He promised to send me an estimate of the costs for the options we discussed. He didn't. I complained, and have heard nothing since. In my opinion, once he learned that I wasn't interested in a major renovation, he lost interest.

Good. Mike was on time. Very friendly. Super knowledgeable. His Advice was helpful. The 3D computer images of my bathroom were interesting. In the end however I just wished I had put the $99 towards my renovation. Although the advice was helpful I probably could of gotten the same advice from a contractor at no charge. Maybe I didn't ask the right questions since this is my first real renovation experience and I understand that to have someone come to your home, takes time and money.

That went well. The guy that came out was very friendly and he knew what he was doing.

My only complaint is that I wan't assertive enough to insist on a drawing that didn't have changes I really didn't want. He wanted to move the appliances around and I don't particularly want to. I think that will just add expense to the project with no benefit. The final drawings reflect more of his ideas than mine. That said, I did get some suggestions that I like and it was a good opportunity to get me thinking about what I want in the end. I'm certainly glad I did it.

The remodel included gutting the current bathroom, moving the toilet to accommodate a larger vanity, new lighting, new toilet, new mirror, new exhaust fan, painting, and the replacement of the window. Mike and his crew did a great job and it looks fabulous. We had a number of minor issues, which can occur on any project ,and Mike quickly responded to fix the issues. As an aside, we also had a problem with a slow leak in our kitchen dishwater that did considerable damage and required a significant effort to fix. The tile had to be broken up, the sink cabinet replaced and the bedroom under the kitchen had water damage and had to have work done on it. Mike had his folks worked all weekend to make the fixes and the job they did was terrific. He gave us a very fair price on the repair.

Mike Ford spent several hours with us. He took detailed measurements of two bathrooms and then offered ideas and initial renderings on his laptop, following up with more complete renderings by email. Throughout the process, we learned a lot about Mike's business--its background and the philosophy he brings to his interaction with clients--and were greatly impressed by his professionalism and approach to the task. He listened carefully to our preferences and goals and incorporated them into the resulting designs; the process really helped us think through aspects of the project. We haven't proceeded with the bathroom project, but only because of our own slowness--I would not hesitate to call upon Mike in the future, for this or other projects.

It was totally amazing. Mike is so personable - he listened to our ideas and wish list. He created the most perfect remodel plan for our master bath. We got to see his ideas right on the spot and then they emailed us the plans and all the details a few days later. Now that we have a good plan, we are looking forward to working with Mike and The Model Home Look in the near future!

Mike did a good job coming up with a design and suggestions. He was easy to work with.

Highly recommend this service. Mike arrived early for the appointment and was extremely helpful thinking of design options for a bathroom expansion. Final renderings were delivered with 24hours of consultation. A++. Thanks!

Does good work; would recommend.

Mike questioned us on our needs and wants and offered a variety of options to fulfill those needs. His ideas were fresh and gave us new things to consider in this pending remodel. We found Mike open to suggestion but also able to improve upon those suggestions. He was quick to follow up with completed drawings and renderings. Mike is willing to make those suggestions in accordance with a price range estimate that the customer is thinking of spending. All in all, a worthwhile investment.

That was okay. The man who came here to do it seemed very busy. He kept making phone calls when he was with me and my wife, that didn't give me a lot of confidence.

Great design work, excellent counseling on preparing a house for resale. Very thoughtful comments and excellent advice. Look forward to working with Mike on this and perhaps additional projects as well.

Not recommend at all.I just got a new house so i wanted to find contractor to renew my house .I bought this company's consultation through Angie's list.It cost me $99.I made the appointment and met a guy at my new house.After he checked my house ,he said he would send me quote and some other stuff .Then he never contacted me again even didn't til now.No text ,no email,no phone call ,nothing.I don't know if they just make the consultation fee or what .The service was bad !!!!

They did pretty well. They came over in a timely manner. They did a fine job. They were responsive. They seemed pretty good. They did nice designs for the design package which was fine. We never went further than the design package. I asked for a quote and I never got a quote. That's okay. They weren't supposed to give a quote but I asked them as an extra. It wasn't part of the deal. It was good. I liked it. The layouts were good and the designs were good. They did a good job. I had to call them to get this deal.

It went great! Mike showed up, discussed our thoughts, took some measurements, and developed a well thought out plan. Would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for some fresh ideas.

This company was not as responsive as a another company. I liked the computerized design they had for my kitchen. They did the design I wanted to an extent.

The company did an excellent job. They are first rate.

Service was great--on time, courteous and helpful. We were very happy with the design ideas and subsequently went to Model Home's showroom for follow-up discussions. We have decided not to proceed with the project at this time because of other issues but would recommend and use Model Home in the future.

The process went well. I was asked what would you like to see your bathroom look like? Of course I described a "bathroom crasher" episode I had seen. The design was done on-site in 3D which was really neat. And the drawings was emailed to me.

It sounded like a good deal.....have them come out and whip up a design for your bathroom. The only thing is that every other place will do it too. We had three other bidders come to the house...all used the same software and gave us basically the same thing. Part of the deal was that if you went with them, they'd take that cost out of your project. In the end, while trying to compare among the four bidders we were unable to get a finalized estimate from them. Our schedules were not jiving and they would not email us a copy. Without an estimate to look at we had to drop them from the running for the remodel. We just didn't have time to keep running down to Chantilly with 2 full time jobs and kids out of school for the summer. So basically for us it was a waste of money as it wasn't anything new or different.
