They came out in a timely manner to give bid, but then didn't get back to me to do work for over a month and a half even though they said they would be out in two weeks. They said they left a message to tell me they were delayed,but I never got it if they did! Once they came, they did a great job on the trees. The two men who came were polite, and finished the job in a timely manner. Their work was excellent. They did a great job of clean-up too. Overall, I liked the company,but they have to do a better job of showing up when they say they wiill,or making sure the customer knows that there will be a delay .

I had a great experience. The associates at Davey are very professional and do the work right the first time. Not only would I use them again, I would recommend them to everyone I know.

Although the Chantilly office listed DC in their service area, they referred me to their Maryland office. The Maryland office said they would come out for an estimate, but then never showed up.

I’m happy with them. They’ve been good. They are thorough. They are pretty much self taken care of and I don’t have to make huge arrangements for them to come. They just come, do their thing and go. They are good. They don’t seem to be overly expensive. I haven’t got any other bids and so I don’t have anything to compare it to. I would use their services again in the future.

The two man crew came on time and got right to work. They were very knowledgeable at identifying the dead branches and removed them properly. They had to go 3 quarters up the height of the tree and did so very safely. They removed all the branches, raked all debris from the lawn and landscape beds, ground up all the branches and swept the street in front of the house. I have had Davey Tree provide my lawn care service for the last 2 - 3 years and have been very pleased and they provided the same great quality for their tree service.

Have used them twice -- and both times they did great work at reasonable cost. Everyone I spoke to on phone was very nice, and the arborist I spoke with was great -- took time to talk w/me about the tree and other details. I'll use them again when I need more tree service.

I have used Davey Tree for tree pruning, removal, and fertilizing for the past 10 years. They are extremely professional, always on time, and I have never had a problem with them. When my tree was damaged in a wind storm they responded immediately to remove the limbs that were on my roof and neighbor's yard. We then scheduled a date for the tree removal that was convenient for me. I gave them a B on the price only because I don't know how competitive they are now with other tree service companies. I only call Davey Tree now when I need tree work.

Great experience and they will be back next year. I looked at six other companies and was most comfortable with Davey.

Very pleased with this company, which was recommended to me by an arborist who no longer works in that field as being "very honest." I solicited three estimates and Davey's was the lowest by far...the most expensive (one of the higher rated companies on Angies list) was more than twice as much and recommended work (deep root fertilization) that Davey's representative said was inappropriate for the condition of the tree and would actually do more harm to the the tree than good. Work was done when scheduled and all debris were removed. Some trampling of perennials underneath the trees occurred, but I viewed this as unavoidable given the narrow space in which they had to operate between the house and fence and we had the work done in the autumn at the end of the season anyway. I recommend this firm and am having them do more work this year.

Wonderful! The day that I called for an estimate, Davey sent out one of their tree experts. He came within a half hour of the estimated hour I was given. He and I discussed whether we could save the tree, and after speaking with 3 other companies, I went with Davey's advice that the tree was too diseased. It was in a dangerous location for dropped branches and such. It was a very large tree, half dead. They brought in a crane and cut and lifted the tree out in 3 sections and then cut the branches off after removing the tree and chipped them down. They did a nice job cleaning everything up. They were finished with job start to finish in 2 hours! Only one problem, but they made good on it. I had also asked them to give me an estimate for trimming another tree. The crew thought that I had approved of the trim of the tree, which I had decided to wait on. They gifted me the trimming job which was very very nice to make up for their error. I plan on using them again soon for three more trees and to grind the stump and roots of the cut tree. Unfortunately, we have a built in play area covering the roots and must remove it before they come back. I would highly recommend their work.

They were excellent. They were very, very professional and were on time. They were very prompt from start to finish. They were very clean, it looked great after they were done and it was a very tough job.

When we talked with Davey, they said whatever was remaining would be straightened out after they cut the tree. It did not and so we called them back, but they did not return our calls. The work they did was fine though.

The arborist came right on time to give an estimate and did a thorough evaluation of our trees. We had to wait two months for the crew to come out and actually do the pruning, but they did a very good job. I had a lot of confidence in their knowledge and professionalism, and the price was very competitive.

After being unsatisfied with a previous national chain, we contacted Davey Tree Service about 4 years ago to completely reseed our lawn. We were happy with their service and have had an annual contract ever since to maintain the beautiful lawn we now have.

They came in and did an estimate, which ended up coming in at about half the price of the other 4 or 5 companies. They did a fine job, and seemed professional--the workers who actually come out are very professional and customer-oriented, but the front office staff who answer the phone could probably improve their professionalism and friendliness. It is a large company, and the prices are reasonable. They do a good job on the lawn as well.

They did what they said they were going to do. However, they showed up 2 days after they said they would.

They are on time and very courteous. They are very professional.

The work they did was a little complicated because of the trees, but they managed to do a very good job and worked through it. Everything looks great and they did it in a reasonable amount of time.

THEY SPRAYED TREES FOR BUGS IN SPRING, ALSO THINNED OUT TREES ON THE MAPLE TREES. ALSO COMPLETED LANDSCAPING AND PLANTED TREES. GAVE SUGGESTIONS AND WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH THE WORK

J AND R CAME OUT AND REMOVED SEVERAL TREES. WE ARE SATISFIED WITH THEIR WORK IN OUR YARD. WE HAVE PLENTY TO REMOVE, AND WE WILL USE THEM AS LONG AS THEIR PRICE IS RIGHT.

WE WERE PLEASED WITH DAVEY'S SERVICE - THEY CHARGED A REASONABLE PRICE, CAME ON THE CHOSEN DATE ON TIME, CUT DOWN THE TREE SAFELY, AND THEN CUT IT UP INTO MANAGEABLE SECTIONS. THEY CLEANED UP WELL AND LEFT THE WOOD WE ASKED FOR TO USE AS FIREWOOD LATER, WHILE REMOVING AND CHIPPING UP THE REST. WE WERE SATISFIED AND WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.
