The machinery works but the team's urgency to go to the next job had them doing shoddy work. The services performed were not in line with Smart Choice cleaning's advertisement. For example, your video states: "What takes us two hours to clean your carpet takes other companies one hour. Most other companies do two passes on your carpet, we do 4 to 6." What I experienced was two guys showing up and leaving inside of 20 minutes. I only saw one pass in the main areas and no passes in hard to reach corners. I showed them a two-foot by one-foot stain. They quickly sprayed something, then quickly went over it. The stain removal worked but the workers missed the edges of the stain. So, now I have a big stain with a nice clean center where they did their work. I cleared off tables and asked them to just move the tables so they could hit the whole room. They just ignored this and left the under table areas alone. The man working the machine skills was sweating so badly that I offered him a drink out of concern for his welfare but he just wanted to run out and go to the next job. The machine is clearly better than a rug doctor, so I shelled out $99 for two guys with an awesome machine who did not care about the quality of their work.

I'd give them an A- overall. I used them for a move-out cleaning and, although I didn't see the end result, I got my complete security deposit back, so it must have gone well.

We purchased the $149.00 Angie's List special from Smart Choice Cleaning for basic carpet cleaning. We were contacted promptly after making the purchase, and an appointment time was confirmed given our preferred date/time. The technicians called the morning of the cleaning to inform us they were in route. The technicians, Yohance and Julian, were professional, courteous, efficient and worked well together. The service provided was exceptional; our 12+ year old carpets look fabulous. We would highly recommend them and use this company in the future.

I was extremely impressed with the professionalism of Smart Choice Cleaning. I came across the company randomly. We had selected another carpet cleaning company who never showed up to their appointment. Angie's List was nice enough to give us a few options to select another company. I read the reviews of Smart Choice Cleaning and took my chances. They were on time and walked through every step of what they would do the day of service. I appreciated the quality of the cleaning. I was amazed at how our carpet looked after the service. They were able to remove an older stain in one of the guest bedrooms. They put protectors on the walls and were gentle when moving around smaller pieces of furniture. I really appreciated how the guy continually updated me throughout the process and asked me questions on what I prefer vs. just doing it their way, which is typically how many companies do business these days. They were efficient cleaning our carpet and did it in a reasonable time. We will definitely be using this company in the future and would recommend it to our friends!

They showed up on time with all of their cleaning tools in tow, and they went to work. The work was completed to my satisfaction. They were very professional. Well done!

The two women who actually did the cleaning were fantastic. However, I was very unimpressed with the front office. The voucher stated "This offer includes up to 6 man hours of cleaning. This can be 2 maids for 3 hours, 3 maids for 2 hrs, etc. Also, you can customize your clean! Cleaning appliances, such as fridges and ovens can be accommodated! Take advantage of this offer and get your home pristine clean!" I specifically chose Smart Clean because of the ability to "customize my clean." When I scheduled the cleaning I specifically asked for 4 maids for an 1.5 hours to ensure that the cleaning would be done prior to the arrival of the technicians who were going to clean the carpets. I also explained to the office the reason I wanted 4 was because I had people coming at 10 a.m. to clean the carpets. The company sent 2 maids and when I called to inquire about it, I was told "we never send more that one team of two maids." I explained what the voucher said and the front office just kept repeating that they never send more than 2 maids unless they have someone following a team for training (in which case there are 3). The quality of the service was excellent, but the company's customer service was poor. I was very disappointed.

We thought the time that it took them to clean (and therefore the price) was outrageous. We now use a different company that has at least the same quality results if not better for 1/4 of the cost. The supervisor told us on the day that they would charge us $100 less since it took so much longer than estimated but they would not honor this, instead saying my husband must have misunderstood them.

Went great. House looked great and they were very professional and polite. I will use them again!

Overall, Smart Choice did a good job. This is the first time I used this service based on the reviews on Angie's List..and their availability. My Parents were coming into town within days and I needed someone asap for a deep cleaning. The cleaners (2) did arrive promptly and phoned me to advise that they were 15 minutes away prior to their arrival. The Cleaners performed the standard duties such as changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning the kitchen, as well as vacuum and dusting. I did end up having to pay extra because they were not finished with the cleaning during the allotted timeframe I purchased (roughly 3 hours). They did explain this to me up front when they were close to reaching the allotted timeframe...and allowed me to decide if they should continue despite the extra charge. After the cleaning was completed, I did notice a small area in the kitchen..as well as the bathroom sink that required additional attention. Once I raised this to the 2 Cleaners, they immediately revisited both areas to my satisfaction. Overall, I would consider using Smart Choice again.

Very well! I had become hesitant about purchasing special offers through Angie's list, following a bad experience with a roofing contractor. However, this seemed like a limited, low-risk offer, so I decided to purchase it. (We will eventually need to have all the carpet in our home cleaned, so I figured I would hire them for that job only if I was satisfied with their performance on this limited job.) We have pets so the selected rooms/locations needed cleaning. I was more than satisfied by the quality of the work done. Two men showed up at the appointed time. They put covers on their shoes and proceeded to inspect the areas needing cleaning. One of the men showed me how they would proceed and then the difference before and after the cleaning. He said that stairs were not usually included in this offer because additional equipment was required for that. However, he had that equipment and agreed to include the stairs at no extra cost. I did agree to add a pet treatment at an additional cost of $25. I had not expected them to clean under large pieces of furniture, but they did that anyway and left all the furniture raised on styrofoam risers. During their time in my home they did describe other services that they provide, but I didn't think they overdid it on the marketing. It just felt like helpful information for the future. I think they did an excellent job and I will not hesitate to use their service again. So this seemed like a win-win for both the consumer and the service provider.

From start to finish the experience working with Smart Choice was great. Steve was extremely responsive on the phone. We first called to get a rush cleaning because we'd spilled tea with milk in it on our couch. Steve said they could come the next day. Then we had to postpone because we were having yard-work done and the driveway wasn't available for the Smart Choice truck to use. Again, Steve was extremely flexible and responsive. We finally were able to reschedule, and they scheduled for two days after we called. As promised, we received a reminder call the day before, and the guys called 1/2 hour before they showed up. They were right on time, at the beginning of the promised window. Went right to work, cleaned the couch thoroughly, made no mess, and were gone in 45 minutes! The 2-man crew was efficient, polite, informative, and a pleasure to work with. We definitely will contact Smart Choice for other jobs in the future.

All done well except walls not cleaned. Had to go back and do it myself.

I was told by the owner along with the normal carpet cleaning his men would clean the areas where the carpet meets the baseboard. And, this would be included in the final cost of $650.00. When the men arrived they said this was not included in the cleaning. They said it would take a long time and the cost would be, I believe, $2.00 per linear foot. As for the tile; they cannot clean between spaces smaller than their machine, thus, using a rag on their hands and knees. The area between the wall and toilet is not clean, as well as under the console sink. I am a bit hesitant about using Smart Choice again.

John knew I had to leave the house early the day of the cleaning, so he made sure mine was the first stop of the day. His employees steamed and treated my two very dusty staircases and made them look as good as 20-year-old carpet can. They did a great job, and were finished 30 minutes before I needed to leave, too!

The two technicians called and asked if it were ok if they could come earlier than scheduled. They walked through the door with shoe booties on, so they wouldn't track in any outside dirt in and also to protect the carpet while cleaning it. They also placed corner guards where necessary so the cleaning hose wouldn't damage the walls. We haven't had the carpet cleaned in over 3+ years so they were in desperate need. The whole carpet cleaning and carpet protection application lasted just close to an hour. They were very professional and made our old carpet look nice and almost new again. We are very happy with the professionalism, promptness and price for the service that was provided. Thank You.

I had a great experience with Smart Choice Cleaning. They were very responsive to my questions and setting up an appointment. They were right on time and called about 30 minutes in advance to let me know when they would be arriving. Could not have been happier with the job they did. Everything they had said they would do was done and more. I will definitely be using them again for cleaning services.

Went very well although they of course tried to sell more services but that was to be expected.

They did a good job. They were prompt and attentive with good customer service.

They were early, cleaned my whole kitchen, dusted, vacuumed living room, hallway and bedroom. As stated above they cleaned my master bathroom which had medical equipment in it, and made up my bed with new sheets and straighten it up. I had a lot of bags of trash, which is hard for me to get rid of since I'm on a walker. They carried it down to the trash shed and never complained and was very quick.

The administrative side was very responsive and helpful with setting up the appointment. The cleaners arrived early, called prior to showing up. They were extremely professional as well as calling to check before doing any additional areas or spot removals that were not agreed upon prior. They were quick and left the house clean and smelling great.

Fantastic job and customer service! Team showed up ready to go, presented options clearly and got grout and chair cleaner than expected. Team was courteous and conscientious. Very pleased.

They arrived on time, and let themselves in with the key that was left. However, I was not satisfied with the cleaning job. I was expecting to enter my home and see sparkles. I did not. The bathroom in the basement was not clean. There was visible dirt on the floor and baseboards. The baseboards in the main bathroom on the 2nd floor were also dirty. I was also not satisfied with how the hardwood floors were cleaned. There were noticeable streaks. I would not use them again.
