Ok. I did a special offer--$99 to replace an outside hose faucet. While they were here for that faucet, I asked that a second outside faucet be replaced. They were happy to accommodate me at their regular price of $350, which is at the high end of prices for that service in this area per Angie's list. In addition, I had to have a hole cut in some drywall so the plumber could access the connection inside the house, which was another $120 (that does not include patching the hole--just cutting a hole in the drywall).

The tech was very professional and although he didn't replace the hose bib, he did tighten a couple of the bolts down and helped secure the bib to the house so it was sturdier. He educated me on some proper care and use and was on his way!

I purchased an offer for an exterior faucet replacement. I'm not sure how the nature of the request/appointment was misconstrued however the gentleman who showed up to do the work thought it was something heating/AC-related. This was the first concern/red flag as it was clear what the offer was that I purchased so whoever made the appointment must have noted what needed to be fixed incorrectly. When he looked at the exterior faucet in question that had a constant drip, he said there may be an additional charge for the work to be performed for him to cut away drywall in the event there were issues from inside the house. This was the second concern/red flag as I don't recall there being a disclaimer in the offer that there could be an additional charge for replacing the faucet - though some of this could have been due to me now knowing or thinking about how extensive the issue could be. When he dismantled the faucet, he concluded that it was just the small rubber ring inside that was worn and starting to come apart, so he replaced it and that was it. This was the third concern/red flag as I don't feel that I fully received what I paid for as I was under the impression that I had purchased a deal to have a new faucet installed. Thankfully the issue was an easy fix and no other issues were detected at the time. On a more positive note, the gentleman that came to do the job was very courteous, walked me through what he was doing and answered my questions, and was quick to complete the work needing to be done. I would consider hiring again for future work though I would be sure to ask more questions up front to alleviate any confusion later.

Cody did a great job and was very knowledgeable . He made several suggestions for future work but was not pushy at all. The fixture installed appeared to be low quality.

He fixed it within 15 minutes, there was a part that he needed to replace it, so after he helped me with the outdoor faucet we talked repairing and replacing my indoor faucet. We were very pleased to know they could do that as well.

As always, great work even if they are a little pricey.

Scheduling was easy. The people I spoke with on the phone we're very professional. Cody was able to arrive early. It was clear that he knew what he was talking about. However, the state of my hose bib was worse than I understood and the repair would have been much bigger than simply replacing the hose bib. I chose not to proceed with the work because I did not want to spend more money and have an additional chore of having to replace drywall that would've had to have been cut out.

The technicians did an excellent job diagnosing the issues and educating me on the work that needed to be performed.

I found the office staff who scheduled the appointment to be friendly and efficient. This was my first experience in the area with a plumbing company. I am not sure if the "voucher" from Angie's list even mattered. Although it covered an hour of work. I was told it was $550 for the work which included the voucher that they didn't need a copy of. The work was done in a relatively open area and access was not a problem. I was also told that a new water heater that was replaced two years previously (while the residence was rented out) was cheap and improperly installed and a "cheap" item. That they were having a "sale". Personally when I am dealing with a "repair" situation and stressed by that, I don't need to hear that my water heater is going to blow up at any time. After the work was completed, I researched the cost of the work and feel the charge was high. I could have handled this better. Next time I will ask for an estimate and shop around. The cost, which I have provided below, does not include the voucher amount. It is out of pocket for work completed within an hours time.

Contracted Feb 25 for special $99 deal on Angies List, but never heard from SSI. After several phone calls and emails to Angie's personnel, I had to phone them. They promised to come in a week, April 7, when one of their plumbers would be in my area. He came on time as promised, but had in mind a faucet just like the one I have, not like the one pictured in the offer. He pointed out to read the fine print where it says product may not match the image. After further discussion and getting permission from headquarters, he agreed to install the version pictured, which originally he had said would cost $42 extra. Thomas the technician was very professional, wanted to be sure I was happy, did excellent work. I am very pleased with the final result.

They never showed up for the second time and tried to schedule an appointment for the third time.

They did a good job. arrived and finished on time. No problems.

I went through Angie's List and had a coupon for $62 for a service all, and then that would be put against any repairs. The guy who came out had a little big of contusion about Angie's List. I showed him the contract because I printed it, but be still charged me a service call. I didn't get the receipt until after I paid him and I paid him with a credit card. I got the receipt emailed to me and I opened the email, I see that they charged me a service call. I called them back and told them that and they resolved it. It took about a week, but they finally resolved it and returned my money for the service call. They do quality work, they just had a little bit of confusion on Angie's List.

The work was performed swiftly and professionally.

THe SSI plumbing specialist determined that a new frost free exterior spigot was not needed after he replaced the correct beveled washer and an O ring. Saved us money and minimized repair efforts. Works great now after 2 years of not using the faucet due to major leakage.

Thomas D. Harrelson, III was the plumber assigned to my home, and my son's on the same day. Mr Harrelson was professional and extremely knowledgeable. He completed thorough inspection on plumbing in both homes. He made suggestions on water pressure issues, as well as dealing with mineral and build-up in the drains. I hope Mr. Harrelson will be with SSI for the foreseeable future, so he will be available for future inspections and plumbing work I need. SSI seems to have the habit of losing the best of the best. Thank you Mr. Harrelson, and SSI. SSI, keep this plumber in your employ; he's a terrific employee.
