Replace Exterior Faucet
Description of Work: The tech was nice, however, we were charged an extra $75 for having to cut into the drywall. That charge is not outlined as an extra charge in the deal. I reached out to 2 other companies on Angies List, and they both said they don’t charge extra if you need to cut drywall, so it seemed like they were nickeling and diming. Additionally, I was charged $149 ($225 total - including the $75 charge above for drywall), even though the Angies List offer was for $99. Finally, I reached out to another company on Angies List for a cost for Freeze Free Exterior Pipe. Their quote was $275, compared to this company, that quoted over $400. My mistake in not going with the other company, who would have installed a freeze free faucet for $50 more.

The service technician came out to perform routine maintenance on our HVAC units. We requested a coil cleaning because it was recommended the time before. There were two chemical options for the coil cleaning, and we chose the one that would completely clean them. That alone was about $300. Upon inspecting the heat pump, he found that the capacitor was leaking and the fuse Amperage was higher than they should be. The capacitor was an expensive replacement, but the fuses were reasonable. If my previous experience with SSI had not been so positive, I may have been leery about needing so much, but the system is over 5 years old (and only has a full life expectancy of 10 years). In addition, they have saved us (and friends) money in the past. I would use them for future work, including getting a new system if it is needed before we leave this house!
Description of Work: Residential Fall Maintenance on Heat Pump and furnace, coil cleaning ($300), replacement parts ($30 for the fuses, $180 for the capacitor). Price includes maintenance agreement for 2 annual visits ($130).
