He was nice and all but after a few days, the leak came back. I tried to set up an emergency appointment but they wouldn't come till two days after. In the meantime, the water was pouring, so I had it fixed by some other person and spent another $130.00!

SSI was wonderful. We've had them for our HVAC service for years, but didn't realize they did plumbing, too. Since we've always had good luck with SSI, we decided to use them for this project. Boy, are we glad we did. We were told by the company doing the clean-up work that a pipe was broken. When SSI came, Adam quickly found that the problem was a hole in the hose bib fitting inside the wall. He replaced the bib and corresponding pipe and solved the issue. He left the area neat and clean. And we were able to use a discount from Angie's List which saved us $80. Thanks Angie. And thanks to SSI for a job well done!

Awaiting service call

It was ok. It was kind of expensive to have the work done. He worked on my toilet. I probably won’t use them again. He came out the next day and fixed the sink too.

I had services with SSI for almost 10 years and this was a very bad service happened to me. Never want to renew any contracts with SSI.

The technician performed a diagnostic and determined that the water leak was a result of an issue with the bedroom toilet. He corrected the issue and advised placing an AC service call for the original issue reported of a split pipe in the attic.

Very thorough, went above and beyond our expectations. We were very pleased. Highly recommend

It was fine, they arrived as expected and inspected the system. They identified a number of issues with our system, which was old. They gave us a quote for a new system, although we wound up going with another company which was cheaper.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. We paid $150 over the deal amount. It wasn't their fault because my husband had taken it all apart and we thought he had fixed the clog so we didn't tell them about it. They were pretty responsive. The price was a little too high to put new pipes in. We liked the person and he did a good job. Our problem was with the pricing. We thought the coupon would cover it and it didn't.

I would like to preface this review with the service from Joe was outstanding. I would not recommend this company unless you're able to get him. Great service and shared some money saving tips with us regarding our HVAC. I purchased the Angie's list deal on 4/8 and called to schedule the appointment on 4/10. I was able to get an appointment a week later at a time that would suit us. I called the day of the first scheduled appointment in the AM to double check they'd be out. Good thing I made the call! For some reason my appointment was not in the system. Annoyed, I asked what happened and those who do not have A/C are first priority, as my call was a maintenance request. They never called to tell me the appointment needed to be rescheduled! We scheduled time off from work to meet a tech and it was very frustrating when we found that they were not coming. SSI offered to come out that afternoon but it couldn't not be until much later, and that was not suitable for us. To add to all of this, they did not have the right address on file even after I corrected it when I first scheduled the appointment! Fast forward to today. Scheduled time was 12 - 4. We received a call around 2:32 from the office letting us know the tech would be there shortly. At 2:55, we got another all from the office saying the tech was in traffic wouldn't be there until 3:30. The tech did not show up until 3:45! All of the legwork before was very trying and we were ready to ask Angie's list for a refund of the deal purchased because of how upset we were about the situation. For a company that has a great reputation on here we expected more out of the customer service upfront. Joe was a great tech and I would commend him to anyone, just be weary of the up front nonsense you may be faced to deal with!

Scheduled a service appointment and was given a 12pm - 4pm window. That timeframe came and went, and I called the company at 4:10. The person stated the technician was finishing up a job in Fairfax and will be arriving afterwards - approximately 1.5 hour additional wait. Stuck, I said "ok". I already blew the afternoon waiting around for them at home. 5 minutes later, I receive a call from SSI and another person stated that my service call was cancelled because they tried to reach me during the day and received a "fast busy" signal. No way - I received calls all day, plus they called to explain my"fast busy signal". Hmmmm.......

I have been pretty happy with them. They were very professional and courteous. They explained everything to me. They didn’t try to push any type of system. They gave me options of what I could use and how each one would benefit this house. I just felt very comfortable with them. I didn’t feel pushed by any way. They were really good with us as far as trying to fix the system that we had because we couldn’t afford it at that time. They were really honest always to say what could happen.

His price was right on and competitive. I would recommend them.

I really like this company. I interviewed approximately half a dozen HVAC contractors prior to spending circa 10K on a new system, and SSI offered the best products at the best price. Best of all, they provided a comprehensive written estimate on the spot that clearly delineated the work to be performed. I was thrilled. We decided to go with the top of the line Trane system (two stage cooling) with an electronic air purification system and a humidifier. The crew was hard working and punctual and addressed any questions I had at the time. My biggest gripe is that we sold our old home and purchased a new home with a less efficient HVAC system! I'm actually looking forward to contacting SSI in the next several years to purchase an uber efficient HVAC system. Thank you, SSI!

The technician arrived outside of the appointment timefame, but the office called me to ask if it would be okay or if I wanted to reschedule. The lateness was due to a longer than expected earlier appointment. It was not a problem, and I appreciated the call and offer to reschedule, if needed. My heating inspection went fine and, though my furnace is 16 years old, the technician did not try to push me to purchase a new furnace right away. He was honest about how long to expect the furnace to last according to the condition it was in. I have had them perform work on my furnace and A/C unit in the past and was very pleased with the cost and work performed. I will definitely use them in the future, and will most likely use them when my furnace and A/C unit needs to be replaced. I highly recommend this company to all Angie's List users.

Installed new furnace, a/c, humidifier, and thermostat. We had a great experience. The guy got here on a Saturday with very short notice. They called us first thing Monday (new years eve) and came that morning to give us an estimate for the new HVAC. JR took his time, was honest about our options, and left us with two proposals. They were able to come Wednesday for installation. Everyone at SSI was timely, professional, and thorough. Would recommend them to anyone!!

Overall, very satisfied with the company and their quality of service, based on my minimal experience with HVAC companies. Only reason for not providing straight "A"s, is that I had to call them back after the first visit when the furnace started not operating properly after the first visit. Apparently the first technician left a jumper on the the blower's connections which was discovered after I called the company and a 2nd technician came out. The 2nd technician also conducted a more thorough inspection than the first technician and made some add'l adjustments. Also, for punctuality, the first technician showed up beyond the time frame (12-4, technician showed up at about 4:30). Though, it was explained by the dispatcher that it was due to a longer than anticipated appointment. But, I will likely use this company again.

Excellent. Expensive, but fairly priced. The techs we worked with, Jeremy Morley in particular, were outstanding. They were thorough, very professional, and communicated every aspect of the problems, options, plans, and work accomplished. I will definitely use SSI for a long time.

All is well when they are here. "Booties" come on shoes, they call ahead to ensure you are home. They are prompt, polite, and efficient.

My experiences with SSI over the last year have been simply horrible. Eventhough I paid for my yearly maintenance contract on-time and in full, they cancelled my scheduled service visits three times in a row. They overbook their top technician (Drew) on regular basis and then call the day of my appointment to cancel. Also, I have to request "Drew" because he is the most skilled technician they have on staff and he is terrific. Many other SSI technicians have been to my home over the years but workmanship is poor and quality is severely lacking. I am a US Army officer who is deploying to the Middle East in 8 days. When I called 4 weeks ago to re-schedule my winter service visit, I told SSI to make a note on my account to NOT CANCEL my appointment again because I am deploying and would not have an opportunity to reschedule. True to form, they called me the day of my appointment and tried to cancel AGAIN stating they AGAIN overbooked "Drew" (their top technician). They did not care at all about my deployment and that they had cancelled my service appointments three time before. I will be looking for a new service company when I return from my deployment. SSI is simply unreliable and does not staff enough skilled HVAC technicians. If you do decide to go with SSI, please ensure that you request Drew for your service appointment. He is terrific.

They came found the problem quickly gave me a decent estimate and performed repairs quickly.

Very professional job. Brendan and Ron made sure each item was working properly. They replaced older components and tested everything thoroughly. Supply lines were tweaked until the air flow was right. Job was quoted by JR who has been an installer. All these guys know what they are doing.
