Thomas D. Harrelson, III was the plumber assigned to my home, and my son's on the same day. Mr Harrelson was professional and extremely knowledgeable. He completed thorough inspection on plumbing in both homes. He made suggestions on water pressure issues, as well as dealing with mineral and build-up in the drains. I hope Mr. Harrelson will be with SSI for the foreseeable future, so he will be available for future inspections and plumbing work I need. SSI seems to have the habit of losing the best of the best. Thank you Mr. Harrelson, and SSI. SSI, keep this plumber in your employ; he's a terrific employee.

Plumber arrived on time and did the work quickly.

The plumber sent out did not want to complete the project for the agreed upon discount saying there was more work than covered. He did not have a drill, which was needed. The manager came out and told him to complete the job without any extra charges. In the end a good deal with the coupon discount. Good manager. Hopefully the plumber has learned something. Would consider hiring the company but not the same plumber.

When we took a look at my basement plumbing, the tech Cody pointed out that several of the plumbing lines were not up to code. In order to install the water faucet, it was suggested that we redo the internal switch line to make it more accessible. This was done in short order.

Plumber had trouble soldering he connection because of its closeness to wooden rafter. I finally gave him some aluminum foil to protect the wood around the soldering area.

Faucet was installed, seems to work fine. Was suppose to get comprehensive plumbing inspection, but technician just installed faucet and nothing else.

They do good work, a little pricey.

I think they did a good job. They did good work. I had to have some service on my AC, they were prompt and able to return with the correct part within 24 hours.

They have good price and quality. The are responsive, punctual and professional.

It didn't go so well. I had my water pressure in the backyard was low, its still low. I thought calcium deposit built up, and a new faucet might help. He didn't come when they said they would. I called, and she said they called twice, and got a recording, and they couldn't get in touch with me. No one said anything about having a problem phoning me previously. I called her, and got her fine. I made another appointment, and he came. I think he came at 4:50, and it was hot. I gave up on him, and needed to get dinner going. I was waiting since noon, and told him to come back. He saw the situation, and he said it might be hard to do, to get the faucet off. We might have to look behind it, or take the siding off. I said can't you saw it off, there was two pins to get to it, in the basement. He came back, and went in my basement, and the faucet is where my basement is, which is pretty much finished. He cut a whole in my ceiling to get to the faucet. I didn't know what to do, I gave him my permission. He couldn't fix it that way, and he said I could do it another way. That would cost another eight to nine hundred dollars. I told him I could not do this. I called him back, and said nothing happened, and I got a hole in my ceiling, and now I got to go to Home Depot to get something to patch the hole, and then paint the whole room now. I asked for a refund, and they said no, we came out a few times, that cost us something. I was out with them. Very costly for me, with all the repairs and all. Why come and do for a quarter less, and its advertised widely, I am sure they get good business. I am not sure if they are getting anything off of it. Then they say this cost more, and then before you know it, you are paying more now. The guy was lying to me. I am very, I don't understand. He either didn't know, or very incompetent. He is taking my siding off, and cutting a hole in my roof. I would not recommend him to anybody. It seemed like their answering service lady was nice, and kind of skeptical that we try to call you. To be fair, they did leave me an email, that they couldn't get in touch with me. He was polite. He was professional and courteous, but not sure if he was trying to scam me.

Was extremely pleased. I discovered the damaged flex run when going through my attic, and had already asked my neighbor, who works on commercial HVAC, what he thought the repair should cost. Called several HVAC companies in the area to get cost estimates, and was appalled to find out that most of them either want to charge me simply for showing up or having minimums that were way more than I thought the repair itself should be. Thankfully, SSI was different. They didn't charge me a service fee just to come to the house, showed up earlier than expected, and made the repair quickly and at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs their HVAC repaired.

Great job! Explained everything and were super friendly and efficient. Tom and Cody were superb representatives of the company. First-time user, but will definitely use them for all my plumbing needs just based on these two employees!

We had a really strong odor coming from the extractor pump when we did laundry. After extensive research, the Internet said it could be any number of issues ranging from a clog, poor ventilation, to full pump replacement. The technician came out and diagnosed the problem. Thankfully he concluded resealing the lid should solve the odor issue and a replacement pump should not be necessary. So far, our odor issues have been solved, but the cost to use a tube of sealant and 30 minutes of the guys time seemed a little steep. The technician was extremely professional, showed up on time and willing to explain exactly what he was doing. While I think the cost was is a little excessive for the work completed, he could have taken me for a lot more money. I would likely hire again, but I would certainly get a detailed description on their rates.

Disappointed. After a brief inspection, the technician insisted on installing a very expensive UV system to clean the air. He verbally indicated that my system was in very bad shape, but then wrote down that it was functioning normally when requested. My request for a quote on a cheaper solution was never provided, as well as the photos of the system that he took. I'm not sure that he even "tuned" anything.

Install went well. A few issues followed. But, they were quickly resolved.

Great. He did an excellent job, it was more detailed than what he thought. He told me he would have to charge more than the special price. I agreed, but in the end his company told him to stick to the special price. AWESOME JOB

SSI was great. Came out on Thursday afternoon to look at the unit and they were able to replace it on Friday. Jose was the technician and he had the best attitude. He worked quickly. He was very professional, did a super job, and left the area cleaned and neat. Very happy with the work. If Jose is representative of all of SSI's technician's, I don't think you could go wrong using SSI. I would recommend them, and will use them again.

They were fine. The service was an A. I just had a little hesitation with the replacement if it was needed or not. Their staff was fine. The technician's name is Robert. He's very kind, punctual, and on time. He explained everything. I just didn't know if I actually needed the faucet replaced. My interaction with them was an A and the work was an A.

They gave me an estimate, and they missed something so they had to come out again. And the guy that came out wasn't particularly happy about coming out. First, you need to be punctual, this guy was not punctual, secondly, you need to be responsive to your customer's needs, talk to me and tell me what's going on. Don't just go do something, and then come tell me it's done. The work was in an awkward or challenging place. The plumbing guy came by and basically said you have a crack over here in this pipe, I'm gonna seal this one, he did the work, I couldn't see where the work was, didn't tell me what the cause of the crack was, and we didn't have a chance to test it while he was there. The next time I turned the water on, there was something else wrong which he didn't pick up on, because there was no water running thru the pipe. So I had to call him back, to come back to do that work. I know it was challenging work because of the location, but I had to take time out of my day to wait for him to come and then he didn't come on time.

They did a fine job. The came over and were prompt & efficient. I was very happy with what they did.

It went well. We bought a high efficiency unit with a variable speed motor. Home gets up to heat quickly and quietly.

The Tech was knowledgeable and thorough. We were happy for his suggestions.

We purchased a special offer from SSI Service Specialties (2 toilet tune-up for $200). The experience started fine with the service rep arriving on time in early September and with a nice professional manner. During his work he fixed one of the malfunctioning toilets, but said he needed to get a part for the other one. A couple weeks later we called SSI to inquire about the part for the other one. We were told that the needed part hadn't been obtained yet. A week later the other toilet that had been fixed stopped working. We called the following week (last week) to inquire again about the missing part and report the malfunctioning toilet that had originally been repaired. Again we were told that the part hadn't been obtained. I complained and pointed how that it shouldn't take one month to obtain the needed toilet part, that we had paid our month a month ago and are in the same situation as when we started (two malfunctioning toilets). The week passed with no word from SSI. Given that we've bent over backwards to accommodate SSI and it has not rectified the situation, it's fair to report that SSI Services Specialties Inc performs poorly, both on the service/maintenance work and with its customer service. We will not use this company again and it seems questionable that SSI will even meets its obligation. Obviously we intend to pursue, but it's unfortunate that SSI has made a simple transaction into a textbook case for how not to run a company and treat a customer.
