Description of Work: The company answered my calls and got somebody out quickly so I could show them exactly what I wanted done and get an estimate. They did the work within the next few days. They told me that since I had showed them the exact limbs that I wanted removed, I didn't need to be there. I should have been there because they cut off more limbs than I wanted and broke some things - one of which had a lot of sentimental value. I was also disappointed that I contacted them because of their ad and coupon in the Angie's List magazine and they did not honor the coupon.

Description of Work: I had a cypress tree next to my driveway. It was dead and I needed it removed. They job was efficient and tidy.

+ -1 moreEverything went very well. The team of 3 men arrived on time and worked very hard for 8 hours. I was concerned about the Japanese Maple tree, and they did a great job of keeping the shape - no topping! The same with the badly overgrown Crab Apple trees. I did not want them "topped". They did cut back many branches, but also left smaller branches so they look very good. The 10" gum tree came down right between my neighbors fence and our garage! Perfect! The clean up was great. Everyone was professional and pleasant. Cost a lot but totally worth it.
Description of Work: In Front : Pruned a "specimen" Japanese Maple. Pruned 9 badly overgrown Crab Apple trees. In Back: Removed a tall 10" Gum tree as well as poorly growing Spruce. Pruned many branches that were hanging over the house and also cleared out dead branches (trees are very tall - Oak, Beech, & Poplar). Removed dead branches from very tall trees in rear yard.

+ -1 moreThey let me know about the costs early, but I had to follow-up closely with them on the scheduling. Once scheduled, they showed up a bit late. Took them a bit longer to finish the job than originally planned. They didn't clean up as well as I would've liked after completion.

Brian was so informative with the estimate and even suggested we wait until the off season to do our work which gave us a 20% discount off of their already awesome price. (we got 6 bids highest was $2600!) The office was always courteous and prompt. Can't say enough great things about this family run company! Thanks!
Description of Work: Northern Virginia Tree Experts removed a large oak that was beginning to rot. The crew showed up on time and finished ahead of schedule. They used a crane to disect and bring each piece down carefully. They cut segments into fireplace sized pieces and chipped all of the brush. We wanted to keep the chips so they dumped them for us and gave us the rest of what was in the truck, too. They offered to grind the stump which we have declined for now. Chris offered to come back and split the firewood; we are having fun splitting it ourselves, but if it gets old we may call him.

+ -1 moreThese large trees were posing a threat because they were getting too close to the roof of our house so I was pleased with the job that they did. I also appreciated that they hauled away all the debris when they were done and did a really nice job cleaning everything up.

He sent his team who amazed me with their ability & thoroughness. They did a great job on the trees. Completely cleaned up & raked the lawn to remove small pieces & many leaves. My neighbors are also very pleased with the work.
Description of Work: Cleared overhanging limbs from 2 large trees on my property from the roof of my house & also hanging over my neighbor's house. Pruned the trees & removed larger diameter dead branches. Also pruned 2 trees growing on my neighbor's property. The tree branches were too close to my roof & house. I had them prune my neighbor's tree, (with his permission) as well as remove a large broken limb on his property that caused our back alley to be blocked.

Description of Work: This is our normal tree service. They prune all of my trees in the fall every 3 to 5 years. We had a lot of damage from a nearby fire, and they did the pruning afterwards. I didn't lose any trees. Their prices are fair.

+ -1 moreTHIS HAPPENED DURING A HURRICANE AND THERE WERE OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAD MORE SERIOUS THREATS FROM DOWNED TREES. THE COMPANY MADE AN ASSESSMENT VERY QUICKLY- CAME OUT ON A SAT. AND KEPT ME POSTED AS TO WHEN THEY COULD GET THE TREE CUT DOWN. ONCE THEY COULD SCHEDULE THE WORK, IT WAS DONE QUICKLY. THERE WAS A SMALL ISSUE WITH THE STUMP- A SUPERVISOR WAS SENT OUT AND THE WORK WAS DONE TO OUR SATISFACTION. ANOTHER NEIGHBOR SUBSEQUENTLY HIRED THEM FOR SOME WORK IN HER YARD.
Description of Work: A TREE IN OUR YARD WAS HIT BY LIGHTENING- IT HIT THE GARAGE AND HAD A BRANCH THAT WAS SPLIT. THE ENTIRE TREE HAD TO BE TAKEN DOWN AND THE STUMP REMOVED THAT WAS DEEP IN THE GROUND
