Moxie Pest Control

Description of Work: We have had an incredible amount of small black ants this year and hired Moxie Pest Control to tackle the issue. We paid the initial fee for a quarterly contract over the period of a year (we pay for those planned visits; any additional visits needed would be free of charge - which we have had to utilize in the month of June, 2014). They have been good to their word/contract, highly professional, pleasant and helpful. |The Service Technicians (Mattson, John Myers, Jay Vinson, and Tim Moses) were professional, asked specific questions to understand what needed to be addressed, and answered all our questions with patience, professionalism and knowledge. When the interior spray was done, shoe coverings were used to prevent soil on our carpets. |We have not seen ants since their treament on June 27 and are very thankful for this resolution and their willingness to work with us in this. Thank you to Moxie Pest control. I would recommend them as a company to employ.

Description of Work: Although they treated us for a number of issues, I've had to continue to treat both inside (Ortho Home Defense Max) and out (Diazinon) to keep the number of small ants down. We've pretty much eliminated the human and pet food left out at night, and have begun moving the recycling and garbage out each night.

Description of Work: We were looking for organic pest control to use around our dogs. Hyrum, the manager at Moxie took the time to provide the MSDS and product labels to assure us the products used were safe around animals. The sales approach was the less desirable door-to-door/limited time deal, but Greg was very patient and understanding during the process. We have only had our first application so time will tell if the product is effective against the ants and ticks were are targeting.

Description of Work: Their very well versed inspector- Eric Littlejohn - came to our house to look into the Home Paramount (HP)claim that we had mice infestation in our attic. He verified that the HP claim for $6,800 was bogus. We had infestation but merely a few mice had come into the house and there were simple correctives to control them. He suggested that we follow up with Jerome Dixon Viewpoint exterminator as Jerome taught this inspector all he had learned and as of right now MOXIE does not do termite control and we wanted one service to do everything. We did follow up with Jerome Dixon (separate evaluation rendered) and we will go with either MOXIE or Viewpoint for our rodent pest control TBD

Description of Work: Poorly as after three weeks of trying to get the guy to set up an appointment, I gave up. Now, we are starting from scratch to find someone to fix our rodent problem

Description of Work: We had them out for regular maintenance to spray and keep the bugs away. Then, in the summer time, we kept getting ants in the kitchen. We called tem out and they came right away and got rid of the ants.

Description of Work: Removed hornets next. Sprayed initial annual service inside and out. After the hornets left 2 days later yellow jackets attempted to take over. Immediately came over to take care of that little problem.

Description of Work: This was our first time using Moxie Pest Control and we highly recommend them. Both Eric and Spencer were polite and very professional. We have ants in areas in the house and wasp nests very high up on the outside of our house and they were very good about handling our specific issues. Our deal was $79 for the 1st treatment, then in 30 days they start the quarterly treatments at $99. I love that they accept American Express! The first treatment included treating the entire yard for fleas, ticks, spiders, etc. removing all wasp nests, spraying the basement and 1st floor (upstairs is optional and at no extra cost), & a choice of odorless spray. They also offer to come out for free for any pest issues.

Description of Work: I was house sitting for my daughter. She has contracted with Moxie and has stated it is cheaper than Orkin or Terminex. I do not know for sure, her house - her expense. What I do know, as I lived with here when she had Orkin, both companies do good work. Orkin seemed less able to handle an 'out of schedule' call than Moxie. (There seemed to be multiple times when they could not find our paperwork, would not return calls and in general seemed unable to provide these services if not part of a regular Orkin scheduled call.) That is what had occurred this time, an out of schdule call. It is warming up and ants always seem to reappear then. So do the borer bees(the big ones that build a nest in wood... like our deck.) A call was placed and they were scheduled an appear between 8:30 and 10:30. At 8:30 on the dot, the doorbell rang. A clean cut, professional young man was there and identified himself immediately. He listened attentively as I described our visitors. I took him to the scene. He observed, told me what treatments were suggested and asked it this was okay. After my approval, he went to work. Upon completion, he again rang the doorbell and then asked if he could show me what he had done. He showed me dying bees and redescribed the treatment he had preformed. He then asked if there was anything else. After Is said no, he requested that, if I had the time, would I please provide his company with a review of his preformance? He then provided me with his card and requested that we call with other problems. The only thing I think he could have done better was to have provided me with a bee body removal service... Yes, my tongue is in my cheek on that. A+
