+ -1 moreOriginally solicited by Clint Kelley. He came across as honest caring and professional. After agreeing to try the service I was soon visited by Moxie technicians Joshua Peterson and his trainee Austin. These guys were awesome. The were friendly yet professional and very knowledgeable. The thoroughly explained their procedures then immediately went about providing pest control over my entire property. I was very impressed with their service especially in comparison to my previous pest control company.
Description of Work: They completed a complete interior and exterior pest service. This was our initial service so they discounted it to $35.00 with a yearly contract. Moxie is a breath of fresh air when compared to Home Paramount, whom I just cancelled. Moxie's technicians appear to be vastly better trained, knowledgeable and overall more professional than Home Paramount. Moxie was more thorough and offered much more service for the same cost as Home Paramount. Unfortunately, in my opinion, Home Paramount is only concerned with squeezing the most money for providing the least service.

+ -1 moreNight and day difference from the last pest company. The technician was prompt, explained the work he was going to do clearly so I was able to understand it, and worked efficiently. He waited for me to get my cat into a room where she would be safe from the spray (all pet- and child-safe chemicals, but best to keep her out of the way during the process). I also received a call from Moxie's office to make sure that I understood what service was being performed and what I was being charged. They were ready to answer any questions I had. Each person I have worked with so far has been friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, and I look forward to continuing my service contract with them.
Description of Work: Initial service - outside and inside treatment around house, to include spraying for bugs around baseboards and around outside house perimeter, and removing spider webs from outside of house

+ -1 moreI would recommend them. I like that they are easier to work with than the previous company we used; it was difficult to get them to come out when I wanted them to come out. Moxie seems more responsive to keeping a schedule and their price is a lot better than our previous company. The only dislike would be that there are a couple pests they don’t do anything about. We get drain flies and Moxie doesn’t have anything to treat that. They don’t seem as comprehensive but it’s a trade-off. I’m willing to trade the drain flies for better service.
Description of Work: For pest control we use Moxie Pest Control. We have a contract with them; the last time they came out was a couple months ago.

+ -1 moremy Moxie Pest Control is a wonderful company to work with. All of their employees are friendly and professional. They call each quarter before they come to my house to ask if I have any concerns and to make sure I am still happy with the company. The technicians that come to my home are very thorough. They listen carefully to my concerns and make sure they address them. They explain what they are doing to fix any issues I might have and walk me through the whole process. They also have a guarantee so if I see any problems between my quarterly service, they will return at no extra charge. Moxie is a great pest control company and I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Moxie Pest Control performs pest control services for my home. They come to my home each quarter and treat the outside of my house. They will also come into my home any time I want. They spray the yard and foundation of my house then wipe away any webs or nests from under the eves and over hangs. Inside my home they spray the baseboards and entry points around each floor. They are extremely thorough and careful to address all of my concerns. The company calls each quarter before the visit to make sure I know they are coming and to see if I have any concerns. The technicians are very professional and friendly. It is a pleasure to work with Moxie Pest Control.

+ -1 moreAlthough I don't think it allowed in our neighborhood, the salesman came to our door and gave a knowledgeable pitch as to why we should use their company, in addition to the great deal I would get if I signed with them for service this week while their company was in the area for other customers. In 2 days, the slightly timid technician came and provided the spraying as desired by us, though I wish he were a little more forthcoming in his own recommendations for our home--I'm not the expert. Nonetheless, he accomplished what he came to do, and donned the shoe covers when inside the house. At a little over $30/month all inclusive, we don't have to buy, store or apply the chemicals ourselves, and the free return visits that they promised are certainly a bonus I hope we don't have to use.
Description of Work: Very professional salesman came to our door to provide his service pitch and we were sold. Service was quickly scheduled, and the technician arrived to complete cleaning of eaves from spider webs/eggs and spraying outside and inside windowsills. Both asked for any specific concerns that we had, and they catered what they did to our issue.

I like that they don't have to come into the house and are able to treat everything from outside the house unless you have a problem. They will come in if you have any problems, but generally they don't come inside. I like that they always look neat, tidy and clean. There is someone that calls to let you know they are coming out, even though you don't have to be home they call and let you know they are coming. The person that calls is very polite. The price is very reasonable. We pay them $99 quarterly. They are there if you need them.

At the same time someone came from Moxie sales and they stopped by and they kind of explained to me the differences and what traditional stuff that they do and I kind of liked what they were doing and it was for the same price. They usually charge something initially which they said they wouldn’t do this time. I switched over. I think they do a good job.

+ -1 moreMoxie Pest Control of Virginia We have used Moxie Pest Control of Virginia, for about 2 years. They usually call a day before they come out, which I like, to see if there is anything else we need them to do while they are here. Some times I have them come and spray for ants in the kitchen and if you keep have a problem they will come out and do it for free. I can tell the treatments are working because, we have dead bugs all over our porch after they come. We have pets and vegetables growing and they don't put anything down that will hurt them. They also, have excellent customer service and I would recommend them.

+ -1 moreThey are good. It seems like things have been going good so far because I don't have as many bugs as I used to have before I had the service. So, they have done pretty good. They come and explain exactly what they are going to do and tell you how long they are going to be. When I call, they say that I don't even have to be here and that I should just make sure that my gates are open so they can get into the backyard. They are very courteous and professional-acting. The price is reasonable and their responsiveness is very good. I have had a different guy every time they come out, and they are all professional.

Description of Work: Quarterly service. First service was inside the house and outside as well. Future are outside unless I want the inside serviced. A call is received the day before service so that I can be home if I choose. Billing is automatic through a credit card - their policy which I am not keen on, but so be it.

The technician who came out to evaluate and assess the mouse infestation was polite, professional, and calmed my fears of mice popping out while I'm cooking Thanksgiving dinner for guests. He was quick and thorough. He explained the process and pointed out that my home has a lot of crevices and holes and recommended I get them plugged. I didn't see any evidence of mice after that and when I scheduled my follow-up appointment, it was determined that I didn't have an infestation based on the amount of bait that was left in the containers. Unfortunately, the mice resurfaced shortly thereafter because of the "old house" cracks and crevices. I can't blame this on the service provider though. If, God forbid, I should ever have a need for this company's service for any other reason, I would definitely call them

+ -1 moreTHESE GUYS ARE AMAZING. Seriously, don't even hesitate to call them up and especially ask for Dakota and Jon - unbeatable.
Description of Work: They were right on time and the most friendly human beings in the world. 1) sprayed outside including siding 2) went through EVERY SINGLE drawer, vent, crack on the entire first floor and spared no expense to lay traps, glues, baits, sprays, etc. 2a- also demonstrated easy tips to take care of the bugs for good 2b- also sprayed all other floors and bathrooms including basement and garage just for good measure 3) told us about our free follow up roach inspection where they would spend 3 hours blasting our home in 2 weeks SINCE: 0 live bugs ANYWHERE. This isn't even the main treatment yet! In just their first treatment, we went from seeing a roach/ water bug every night to seeing none ANYWHERE. They told us we'd see dead bugs but the main treatment in 2 weeks (WHICH IS FREE) would take care of any major nests and the follow up quarterly treatments would keep the bugs out for good. EXCELLENT EXCELLENT - JON AND DAKOTA!!! Pricing: 119 for inspection and treatment described above - 45 mins-1 hr free - 2 week follow up with 3 hours of spraying 99- every 3 months thereafter AND if we ever see a live bug again and want another spraying - FREE. can't beat that. This is a company that believes in its work and takes time to train their employees right. TELL YOUR FRIENDS.
