We had a problem with tiny ants in our master bathroom. After reading the reviews of Moxie Pest Control, I purchased a one-time whole house service through Angie's List. I emailed the office to schedule an appointment and they called my the same day. The exterminators came out as promised and, after explaining very carefully the products (organically based compounds) and procedures they were going to use, completed the work. They sprayed around the baseboards as well as inside the walls where the water pipes come into the bathroom and kitchen fixtures, since ants require a constant source of moisture. The technicians were polite and professional. I have not seen any ants since Moxie was here so I am very pleased!

Moxie performed our quarterly pest control service exactly as expected.

They were very thorough and spent time going around the house looking for entryways. Placed traps where needed, plugged holes with chicken wire and duck-something (not duct tape). I called 33 days later for the 1 month warranty not knowing we were a couple days off the warranty period and they honored it to come back and reset traps. Both techs were professional and nice and made sure not to track dirt inside the house.

This was the most thorough inspection and treatment every! Not only did the technician put down traps and check places, but he also spent time explaining to me where the mice are most likely coming in - and what to do to keep them out. All other companies just seemed to be interested in treating and coming back - not trying to help me stop the problem.

I ended up getting a refund because I have a problem with squirrels, which are considered wildlife, not rodents. I wish they were more specific in the Big Deal, but they were very pleasant and friendly over the phone. I don't blame them for not taking the time to include that as a squirrel problem is probably very uncommon. I'm not upset at all, but I wish I would have known that squirrels were excluded.

Yes, I would hire this company for the future.

They are good. The crews are really nice. Because I really like them, I've referred three of my neighbors to them.

We have quarterly service from them. Anytime between the scheduled services, they'll come out for free if you need them to, which is wonderful.

They did a great job. I was impressed with them. They were professional and they answered questions. If they didn’t know something, they would find out. For the cost of what they did, they did a great job. I haven’t had any problems since they came out.

Their service has been very good. I’ve never had a problem. I had trouble with the Cicada killers; there really is no way to get rid of them. However, as soon as I call them they come out promptly to treat what hey can; they came 3 times in a row. They are very responsive. Their service has been really, really good. I have no other bugs.

1st appointment generated little result, but follow up 2 weeks later got rid of them. 2 months now without mice!

Was request to take all items out of cabinet and bleach counters. They treated for spiders in and out. Would have like options for organic treatments. They did ask if we had pets or small children. The second time the rep was late, said he was stuck in traffic, I took off to get at my residence, would have appreciate a phone call. other than that everything was fine.

We contracted with Moxie several months ago and have been mostly satisfied with their service. However, there was one issue that dragged on for about a month that had me a little frustrated. It started when I got the message that they were coming out to do one of our scheduled treatments, I called them back to ask them to have the technician also remove a wasp nest in the shrubbery next to our driveway. I mentioned that we haven't seen any activity in a week or so, perhaps due to the recent drop in temperatures. The technician came, did our regular service treatment but did not remove the wasp nest. I called to find out why and was told that it was because "I had said that the nest was inactive," but there was indeed some wasps still in the nest and the technician did not come prepared. I replied that I merely gave them my observation at the time, but I am NOT an expert so the technician should have come prepared for either situation. They apologized of course and rescheduled a second visit to remedy the situation. The second technician came and left before I got home, which when I did the wasp nest still there! I called the company again and was told that this technician could not find it! So a third visit was scheduled. Well in this case, the third time was a charm and they finally got the nest down and disposed of. This time I made sure to be there and the TWO technicians that came out were as nice as could be and very accommodating and professional. Overall, I think this company does good work and I will stick with them for now so long as I don't have too many of these types of experiences with them.

The price was very good. The technicians were exceptionally polite, courteous, and thorough. I am please to know that a technician will be dispatched to my home, for re-application and/or re-inspection, whenever I call. I would definitely recommend Moxie to friends and associates.

I've been using Moxie for 5 months now and I'm satisfied with their service. They call to schedule their next service, they are always in time, they are responsive, polite, and there are no bugs in my house:) I can't complain.

Initial visit was fantastic. The technician explained everything he was going to do. After treatment, he went around the house and cleaned off all the cobwebs that we had (main reason for having them come were the spiders and webs). Received a follow-up call from the office asking if everything was done to our satisfaction. 2nd visit, we were not home, but I see that any new cob webs are now gone. The office called before the technician came to see if we needed anything special during his visit.

E-mailed Moxie Pest Control through Angie's list. Waited a day - no e-mail to the address I specified. Angie said they'd check into where the e-mail went and if they got it - no follow-up from Angie. Had my tenant call them directly, she left a message - no call back, tried again and now they say we're not in their service area. Their site advertises Northern Virginia service area, location is Arlington - that's Northern Virginia as far as I know. What's up with this company? They have straight A ratings and they don't return new customer e-mails or calls.

Moxie Pest Control was on time, professional, and efficient. They did not hurry, they did a thorough job inspecting for bed bugs, informing me what they were looking for, and questioning what I was experiencing. I was so grateful that they did not find bed bugs and more knowledable.

After finding a Black Widow spider in my garage, I immediately started looking for a pest control company. Moxie had come by our house a few months ago and left a card, so they were already in the back of my mind. I found a few other highly rated Angie's List companies, but ultimately went with Moxie because our neighbor highly recommended them. The price is comparable to other companies. They offer pretty much the exact same service as other pest control companies. However, they are rated very highly on Angie's List and by my neighbor. I have to agree with every positive rating. The phone agent was very nice, respectful, and thorough in answering all my questions. She also gave me the same initial service price that my neighbor received ($50 instead of the normal $219). While I think $219 is a little high for an initial service, there are discounts that will bring that down (i.e. - an Angie's List coupon or summer special). Had there been no discount, I would probably not have gone with this company. Other companies charge around $120-150 for the initial service. The phone agent, however, was insistent on finding me the best price possible. Additionally, my neighbor will receive $30 off her next service due to her referring me. I will certainly be looking for referrals to receive the same discount. The technician who came out, Maurice Rouse, was on time, respectful, and also very thorough answering additional questions I had. He even explained why the bugs are the way they are (warm winter). He was very personable and made me feel comfortable with him and with the company. Maurice was thorough in getting all the corners of my house. He even wiped down all the webbing from the spiders outdoors. The contract was easy to read and understand. The terms are easy and the price is fair. I am so happy with this service as of right now. I signed a one year contract with Moxie and I hope to continue business with them for the entire time we live in our house.

I am a first time house owner as of March and I had not yet done any pest control, so I figured it was time unless I wanted to get some unwanted visitors. When I called Moxie on Friday, they were able to schedule my appointment for Monday working around my schedule, to make sure i was not inconvenienced. The service tech was a very young guy, but seemed to know what he was doing and asked me a lot of questions to make sure that they are giving me the service/coverage I need. He walked me through what their service will cover and what to do if I have any problem. He was very nice and did the work efficiently. I just signed a 1 yr pest control maintenance agreement with them and I think I will be pretty happy with the service.

This was only the second treatment. Sor far the results appear to be okay.
