The rep was a few minutes late, but was very professional and thorough once he got started. I was very pleased with the fact that he was very knowledgeable and provided good recommendations on keeping bugs away from the house. He also used a slip cover for his shoes while inside the house, and this was an added bonus, as we don't wear shoes in the house. The first week after the treatment, we found dead ants and spiders inside the house, so we knew the treatment had worked. However, a couple of weeks later, the bugs returned and we noticed the same level of activity on our deck. However, this is normal according to the company and we were told of it prior to the first visit. We're ready to have them back in for our first quarterly service. I would definitely recommend them to others for their professionalism, knowledge and quality of service.

they came and set traps, but we didn't see any improvement or trapped mice. Someone else came back and moved the traps, saying he "wouldn't have put them there" but his didn't yield any fewer mice or trapped mice either. They suggested I buy the contract package, and I declined. Really liked the company, just didn't find the services to be completed.

Overall I have mixed feelings about the services provided. After finding evidence of mice, I purchased a rodent abatement package which included inspection, trap and bait and some exclusion. The package also included a 1 month warranty. I had the techs come out three times during the warranty period. The first two times, both techs seemed confused about what was included in the package. The first tech simply placed poison outside and in the garage and sticky traps in the basement (not impressed). He recommended not placing poison in the basement, and did not do any exclusion. After reviewing the terms I called them back to do the exclusion per the terms of the purchase. The 2nd tech did a better job and sealed the gaps around the HVAC, gas line and spigot. He also placed three poison traps in the basement, which surprised me since the first tech recommended against any. After seeing some additional activity I called and had the tech come out and to check the bait. Overall, I think the rodents are gone for now. The biggest problem I have is that they have sent me two invoices for $175, one of which says past due. I already called once to tell them I already pre-paid. I'm updating my review, because the management there did there best to talk to me about some of my issues and work with me.

Very professional, punctual, friendly, and helpful. A Moxie representative checked out the scene, made recommendations, and put out the traps and bait boxes. They recommended but did not perform the sealing-of-walls work. The package includes one re-visit if the rodents are still there (we did use this, since they were not eliminated the first time.) The package is only to eliminate indoor pests, so I had to ask my gardener for help with the gophers in the yard. Good job, good deal, recommended.

The process went well. The technicians let us know when they arrived; they informed us about the work they would be doing and how long the process would take and asked us about any issues we were experiencing. Once they completed the work they let us know they were done, the work they did and the issues they found and treated.

Door-to-door sales. I said I could not afford service. He asked what I could pay (half of the price quoted). He accepted and then lowered the price further. He then spent 45 minutes raking leaves around my house so the next day he could properly apply the treatment. Even helped hang plants on my porch. Exceptional customer service! Family owned.

I have never used this company but I live in a neighborhood where we frequently make suggestions to each other when looking for various services. Tonight, I saw a Moxie truck driving extremely fast and dangerously in my Springfield neighborhood (going to a home on Chars Lane vicinity). We have lots of small children and pets in the neighborhood and the speed limit is 25 mph. I would not hire this company nor even get an estimate from them based on the extremely dangerous driving of their technicians.

I contacted Moxie for general pest control on my property, both inside and out. The customer service rep offered a range of options and the type of work involved, explaining the pros and cons of each as well as the company's warranty, answering all my questions, and scheduled an appointment within days. The Moxie technician, George S., came by on time for the appointment, and began with an other explanation of the work he was going to do and Moxie's warranty of the work, to ensure I understood everything. He then went about the work professionally, quickly, and effectively, giving me a rundown of what he found when he was complete. We noticed a difference in our home immediately, and were completely satisfied with the experience.

The company representatives were friendly and helpful; however, quoted the wrong work thus leaving us to incur expensive fees. When I initially called, I specifically requested rodent exclusion. We had a particular problem with a few mice. I was charged for a full rodent and pest control quarterly plan. This was not the desired package nor clearly explained. During the first visit, the representative simply set mouse traps around the house and sprayed for insects despite my disapproval. We specifically requested a search and sealing of any/all entry/exit points. We had already identified high activity areas, set traps and caught mice. We wanted the entry points closed. A second representative came out and set more traps everywhere and disposed of the caught rodents. We adamantly expressed the problem wasn't traps and were ignored. The same representative came back a third time and disposed of more rodents, set more traps and finally sealed one entrance. Understandably so, one would need to determine the entry point through catching the rodents; however, this was already expressed on the initial call and visit. The last representative was very knowledgeable and sealed the entry point and this ended the problem. We felt that this could have been completed in less time and less stress. When it came to payment, we had to fuss with company representatives to explain that we did not want the plan nor have an issue with insects. Overall, we were charged close to $350.00 for all work done when we initially signed up for $99.00. The price would have been more expensive but we received $50.00 off due to inconvenience and misunderstanding. Unfortunately, I would not use the service again. I have no doubt that others may have had a more pleasant experience. We weren?t as fortunate.

We have been with them for about 2 years. They are a very professional company, are very courteous and show very good performance.

Initial treatment went smoothly and on time. Treatment was effective for all the bugs I wanted gone - roaches, camel crickets, spiders, and mosquitoes. The tech was professionally dressed, well spoken, and courteous. I wish more contractors were like these guys!

They asked me to empty all my cabinets and put away all things. I was having trouble putting everything away and they said don't worry about it and they did everything for me. They wiped down everything with lysol and removed the switch covers and plug covers. They put up traps for the insects and told me up front he would have to come back minimum once maybe two more times. They were very curtious and I do not have enough good things to say about them.

Good. Arrived and treated both interior and exterior of the home.

Had another company come out and they said they could not handle the cockroaches. Moxie came out and have done a great job. They are very professional. Are always on time. Their employees are always courteous.

This was a door-to-door sales approach. Salesman was nice, but a little pushy at the start, which was a turnoff at the beginning. Our subsequent meeting went much more smoothly. The service technician arrived as scheduled. I wish I would have watched him applying the insect application, but I didn't. I assume the property was all treated as agreed. Only ranked quality as a B since this was the first treatment and I have no idea what the quality of the product is yet.

Moxie Pest Control had a salesman come to the House to offer their service program for Pest prevention. After the preogram was explained and I signed up, they came out to do an initial service both outside and inside my home. They were professional & polite, and did a great job explaining what they were doing and why. We discussed the intial service as well as the plan for the rest of the annual program.

Not only was the tech exceptional, the office team called me exactly when they said would, scheduled my next appointment and made sure I was happy with the initial service. This vendor is rated A+ for a reason...they don't just meet expectations, they EXCEED them! I just wanted to provide an update now that we contracted with Moxie for routine pest control. They are still fantastic. From the pleasant associate who schedules the service to the techs that do the work. Always punctual and informative. Great vendor!

They were professional. It was exactly as all the reviews had said that they were. The people who worked for me were very nice. They explained exactly what I needed to do and told me the cost.

APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED AND TECHNICIAN ARRIVED AS SCHEDULED PER MY TENNANTS. HOWEVER HE DID NOT REMOVE THE DROPPINGS NOR DID HE PLACE A TRAP WHERE THE DROPPINGS WERE. I ADVISED MOXIE OF THIS AS A COMMENT TO THE INVOICE WHEN I MADE PAYMENT. I RECEIVED NO FOLLOW UP FROM MOXIE AS IT RELATED TO MY COMMENTS -- I FINNALLY FOLLOWED UP WITH THEM TO FIND OUT IF THEY HAD GONE BACK TO CHECK THE TRAPS -- AFTER HANDING ME OFF TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER REP I WAS INFORMED THAT THEY CALLED MY TENNANTS AND ME TO SCHEDULE A FOLLOW UP VISIT TO CHECK THE TRAPS AND LEFT A MSSAGE ON OUR ANSWERING MACHINE. I ADVISED THEM THAT THERE WAS NO MESSAGE AN MY MACHINE FROM THEM AND MY TENNANTS ADISED ME OF THE SAME AND WHY DID THEY NOT FOLLOW UP WITH ANOTHER CALL -- ANSWER WAS THEY LEFT A MESSAGE ON THE MACHINE. I ADVISED THEM THAT IS UNSATISFACTORY AND HUNG UP.

I hired Moxie to eliminate an ant infestation that could not be eliminated with the usual traps found at the local hardware store. Not from the Virginia area, I obtained Moxie's number from Angie's list; Moxie has an A rating on Angie's List with mostly extremely positive reviews. Amanda went out of her way to accommodate my needs and set up an appointment. The technician, George S., arrived exactly when I was told he would be there. He was professional and really listened to the history of the problem, behaving in a manner that I would hope my children would if they were entering someone's home. He treated the interior cracks in this older home, as well as the periphery of the house. Crawling through the bushes and undergrowth, he tried to locate the source of our problem, as he treated the area. After all of his work, he returned to the door to inform me of everything he had done, asked if I had any questions, and gave directions for monitoring the situation for the next month. Based on this encounter, I would highly recommend Moxie to my neighbors.

The service turned out fine. They had great follow up and they are very professional. I liked the way everyone treated me. I will recommend them in the future.

Eric, the technician that serviced my house, was prompt and very thorough. I was elated that he put on shoe covers before performing work on the inside of the house without being asked. He serviced the inside of the house and only slightly moved things to enure that he got in every crack and crevice inside. Eric effectively serviced the inside of the house without making a mess. After he completed the inside, he gave me comments and helpful hints to ensure that I have no problems. What really impressed me was the outside treatment. He removed cobwebs, cleaned out and treated crevices outside the house (including the upper floors). He also treated the grounds surrounding my house. After treating the outside, Eric came in and gave me his feedback and observations and gave me an opportunity to ask him questions. He was very knowledgable and pleasant when answering my questions. I didn't doubt his answers and he never made me feel like I was asking a stupid question. Overall, Eric and Moxie are great and I would recommend them to anyone. I've actually recommended them to friends. I will likely reach out regarding a quarterly service plan.

Punctual and professional. Office/telephone assistance was excellent

We signed up for annual pest service including regular visits to treat outside areas and additional as needed service if we noticed particular issues. Before I signed up, I researched their availability to provide quick service in the case of a serious pest issue and they advertised being able to arrive within 24 hours. In the fall, we found a mouse in the house. I called immediately and they told me the soonest they could arrive was in 5 days (I called on a Thursday, they said they could get there the following Tuesday). I told them that this was unacceptable based on the severity of the issue and their advertised promise, and they said the best they could do was Monday. I immediately researched and found another pest service able to get to me for an initial inspection on Friday and treatment on Saturday. Since then, we have had no issues. I will not be extending the contract with Moxie.

The rep arrived on time. We talked about my problem and what he was going to do. He answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease.
