Moxie Pest Control

The Moxie technician showed up promptly on schedule. We showed him around the inside and outside of our house where we knew we had a fairly serious ant problem, and also where we had encountered a lesser spider problem. He spoke knowledgeably about the likely sources and he treated our house. Before he left he told us he would be back in a couple weeks for a follow-up visit. While his initial visit was a very good experience, Moxie has never come back for the promised follow-up. That is why they lost an across-the-board A rating from me. If you make a commitment to follow up I expect you to do so, or to call and let me know that you aren't able to do it in a timely manner and need to delay. To me, no promised follow-up visit and no other contact is not an acceptable business practice (The very good initial visit is the only thing keeping their score higher than a C or D). I have noticed ants reappearing in one of the areas beside my porch that he should have treated. I believe that this possibility was why he had committed to the follow-up visit.

We had a horrible experience with them. They promised these services that we're going to get rid of pest problems. If anything, it made them significantly worse. My husband and I do it at home ourselves before. We would do that and we would have occasional outbreaks now and then. For the most part, it's okay. This year, we had a big problem with ants. They sent this guy out. He promised us the most to clean up the eaves and to do this and do that like spraying to the street. They've been here for three months and the ants were just as bad if it's not worse. I don't know what they're doing. I honestly don't know what they're using. I have used other pest controls years ago on occasion. I have been satisfied. With this company, I just don't feel right about it. What I find frustrating is that they tell me the first service is free but if I cancel it, they charge $90. I will be cancelling their service and I will have to pay for the service that was rendered poorly which is the problem. If they guarantee their work and someone's dissatisfied, then why od they turn around and charge someone who's dissatisfied.

They've been fantastic. We have no complaints, they are always here on time and their service techs are always extremely nice.

They do a very good job. If I see any bugs they come back as soon as possible when needed.

It turned out excellent. They were very good. They were very responsive and came the next day. They told me that they would give me 30 days warranty. If I see ants within 30 days they will come back for free of charge. Sure enough the ants were back in about 2 weeks. They did come back and I thought they did a great job. I would highly recommend them. They were very professional and very polite. They were very clean. They changed their shoes when they came in and went out. It is important in this kind of work because of dealing with chemicals. It was a big deal purchase. It was a very good price. I suppose I could find someone for less but for me the price is one of the elements. Good companies charge quite a bit for a one time trip. I live in a gated community so it is difficult to get here. They were always on time with no complaints about anything. I definitely would use them again in the future because I signed an annual contract service with them.

I went looking for another company.

I was impressed that they were always there at the start of the appointment window - there was no waiting around wondering when they would arrive. After the first treatment there were still bugs in my condo. I called Moxie to let them know I was not happy with the result, and was then told there were 2 more treatments available for the price I'd paid. It would have been good to know that at the start, no one had explained that to me, and if I hadn't called them back, I would have never known. We scheduled both follow up treatments, and now I am seeing good results.

They were here about 2 weeks ago. They will come back as many times as I need them too in that quarter for free. I have only used them for three months so far. A young man came to my door and they had a good incentive program. I think that I paid them $50 to come out for the first visit. Then it is $99 quarterly. Everybody seems to be real nice and they know what they are talking about. The only thing that they do not do is termites. I was having issues and they got rid of them in the first visit. I am not too sure about pricing yet. I think that it is about average. I will continue to use them.

It worked out really well. From when I called and identified that I had to predate my service through Angie's list to that receptionist to scheduling the appointment to the gentleman who came out, they were very professional, answered all my questions, and then they came out for followup as well. They did really left. My only complaint was couple of weeks after their service I received a bill and when I called the company back they said oh just that is protocol. I really question whether that was protocol and I said if it was protocol wouldn't I have gotten a receipt back that was prepaid and the service was completed. They said this is what we do so everything was perfect except the billing department, which I thought if your husband sees the bill sometimes he would know that it was prepaid and it would have been paid for twice and I just thought it could have been little better other than that everything was wonderful. They were great. I would use them again.

I purchased an annual pest control contract. I have received a couple scheduled services so far and everything has been great.

The people at Moxie are very professional, those on the office, and those who provide the actual service application. There was an immediate call back to inquire if all went well, and a call back after seven days to ask if the ant problem had been eliminated. When I told them I had spotted a few ants they immediately sent someone to spray again. The additional application took care of the problem. Again there was a follow up call asking about the service, and if there were any more problems. We have signed a contract with them and have been very satisfied with their work, and the results. No more annoying ants inside or out!

Great. Company called when the tech was 20 mins out. Arrived timely and then took care of all of my concerns.

He was highly responsive as well. Our first contact with Derek, he was a very straight shooter. He had been in the industry quite some time and was very knowlegable and real. He gave us the best possible deal that they had available. We signed up for their annual plan upon receiving the initial service. Daniel came out within the assigned time window. He worked incredibly hard to access as much as our property as possible including inside the house that still had boxes and furniture that hadn't been unpacked. He also crawled under the deck to spray. we ourselved didnt even realize that area was accessible. He found that area proactively without us asking him too. He was very honest and very dedicated to providing a high level of service. Answered all our questions respectively. Clearly had a very favorable impression of the company and their integrity, which as customers we appreciate. when we had additioanl questions for derek he answered our calls on the wekend and was highly responsive and honest. We had gotten an additional estimate from another company. Moxie seemed more comprehensive so we didnt mind paying more for the quality and the coverage. the fact that most of our neighbors use this company, gave us a peace of mind.

Moved into a house several weeks ago and we noticed ants and a few centipedes in the basement and kitchen. Called Moxie Pest Control late last week and decided to buy their one year protection plan. The technician, Quinton Jones, arrived on time yesterday and he was excellent. He inspected the exterior and interior of the house, found what probably was the source, and carefully explained everything to us. The ants took the bait that Quinton left yesterday and I haven't seen a single one today. I'm a very happy customer!

Tech was very helpful and we've always loved the service that Moxie gives. The price is good, and the free responsive treatments are a must have in N.VA.

I was very pleased with the outcome of the Moxie service. I the service person was very knowledgeable and professional.

I purchased the ANT Treatment package through Angies List. My issue was ants in the kitchen, mostly non-food areas. The technician showed up at the proper time and surveyed the situation and applied a spray treatment to all baseboards though out the house and treated the exterior foundation as well. He put out a small amount of ?bait? in the kitchen in the hopes that the ants would eat it and take it back to the colony. The technician stated that the treatment may take nearly two weeks to fully work. I waited nearly two weeks and I still had ants. I called Moxie and was told that the package on Angies List is NOT guaranteed at all. However, they would come out and re-treat. The 2nd tech came out placed more ?bait? out and sprayed the inside of all electrical outlets and switches in the kitchen area. The ants appear to be gone. I am a pleased customer.

Absolutely fantastic!! They initially treated inside thoroughly as I had some "critters" (spiders and silverfish? - something with a lot of legs). After that they come out quarterly to treat externally and I can always call them to treat the inside if I see any more "critters". But guess what? I have see not much as an ant inside my house. I happen to be home today when they came to service the outside. (They always call prior to confirm.) I have a really tall end unit townhouse and I was on the top level and through the hall window I saw a fluffy, yellow extended dust mop wiping my window sills and windows!! He did all around the house first and then followed up with the treatment! The best decision I made!! BTW, I have had other Pest (now) services before and cancelled after I found a termite tunnel on my back wall. I will say that upon notifying the previous company, they took care of the situation but it had been "overlooked" for months! Very happy with MOXIE!

Technician called ahead of the scheduled arrival time to confirm that I'd be home. Informed that he had an order through Angie's list and identified that it was a one-time order. He confirmed with me the target rodent for the visit; inspected the exterior of the house for signs of entry into the residence, finding none, he strategically located the traps around the residence. Finally, he advised that it'd likely take a follow-up visit to reload the traps for which I should call Moxie in approximately 2 weeks. Very professional service. I would use again.

I tried them because they do a different thing. They spray the yard so far from the house maybe thirty feet or something. They had just come by and knocked at the door. I have been using another pest control company for my rental house and my personal house. I just thought that I would give them a try. The individuals that come in and do the work are very professional. They appear to be responsible. I called on Wednesday or Thursday, and they had someone out on Friday to re-treat the house. So far, they seem fine, and everything has been very good. Their price is higher, but then my house is bigger. Even with the other pest control company, I think I pay $95 a month. There is maybe a $4 difference between this house versus the other house. They are both single family homes.

All went well with this initial visit. Door to door salesman was polite and not pushy and the service tech was on time and informative. I felt that the overall price of the one year package was on the high side but hopefully they will stick to their end of the agreement should I have further problems.

I signed up for the discounted yearly pest control offered by MOXIE through Angie's list. The service representative arrived on time. Eddie explained everything and asked what my issues were. Eddie began with the interior and worked his way out to the exterior. After completion Eddie went over what he did and answered any questions I had. MOXIE PEST SERVICES also called while Eddie was spraying the house to explain my bill, go over the services provided, and to check to see if Eddie was able to answer my questions. I thought the price for a yearly contract could have been lower but I am satisfied with the service.
