Moxie Pest Control

I purchased the Angie's List Rodent Abatement "deal". I would recommend that you save the $175, purchase some sticky traps and outdoor traps and save some money. The service was professional, just did not see the $175 value.

EXCELLENT SERVICE. Ellie Sevilla has been our Moxie rep for the last year, and he does fantastic work. Always helpful, courteous, and professional. Moxie in general is a great company to work with, and they are always willing and able to come back if there are any retreatments necessary.

They come out whenever we need them; we have an annual contract with them. I still see silverfish occasionally and we can call them when we see a bug.

We moved into a new house this summer and found out that mice have been living in and around for a long time. Moxie came and did an initial inspection and treatment and advised us on other ways to prevent these critters from living here. They come out every three months to inspect and spray for whatever seems to be around--we haven't seen a mouse or evidence of mice since. They are knowledgeable, professional and always wear shoe covers. Terrific!

I would not recommend having the pest control service through Moxie.

They come out every quarter for quarterly service. If I see spiders or any bugs or insects, then they come out even if it is not a quarterly visit as a part of the service. They typically call the night before to make sure I am at home or if I have a particular questions or issues that they want me to address. If there is nothing to do inside the house, then I don't have to be at home. It's been very well done and convenient for me. The office staff calls when there is an issue between the checkups. They are very courteous and willing to get somebody scheduled to get out to address the issue. They are great when I am not going to be at home. They just do what they need to do outside and leave a summary of the service provided hanging on the door; so if I have any question, then I can always call them back. It is definitely more of a neighboring service than like a big national chain. They are more attached to their business than other companies. It just seems like they care more about their customers than some of the big guys.

After observing them, I'm not convinced that the service techs (observed 2 on two different occasions) are always knowledgeable in what they are doing.

They treat when we feed out from the house or something; they treat a little bit differently. So far it's been fine and they are good about setting the appointments. If we want them to come inside, they are more than happy to do that. They come quarterly. I haven't had anything at all that I would complain about. They have been good like they have been on time and if we want them to come back they are more than glad to do that. They are very professional when they are here. Their price is more but I think that is fine because they do it differently. Their responsiveness is good.

It took 3 months of weekly treatment to get rid of the roaches in the house we bought. The former tenant was disgusting and left food smashed into the hardwood floors. The Moxie team was excellent and hard working.

They are professional. They seem to know what they are doing although my pest issues are not really solved. They do provide a guarantee though, so I guess I can have them come back to respray my interiors.

It went fine. They were very courteous. Asked whether we needed indoor service, but I said no. They reminded me that they would come back any time in between quarterly services, at no charge, if we had any pest problems. Everyone who has come to our home from Moxie has been courteous and thorough. I'm not sure of how the price compares with others, which is why I gave them a B in that category.

We started using them for preventative reasons. When they say they are going to be out, they will be out. If you have an issue, they will come out and address it. They are very neat about how they are going about doing their work. When I call them out, it is part of the service.

This is a very service oriented company. They do require a contract, however. They call before and after appointments, check to see if you have any particular issues and after the first visit just hit the outside unless you ask the do the inside, which has no additional charge. In addition, if you have issues in between visits you can call and ask them to come out to address and that is no additional charge either.

It was okay. They showed up on time. There was nothing great or nothing bad. They were prompt. They got up here pretty quick. I don't know if they solved the problem or the problem fixed itself. They didn't follow-up, that's one thing they didn't do. They were supposed to follow-up. They never did follow-up. I still have some of the stuff that they put down in front of the house that they said they were going to pick up. They've never done that. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount as far as I can remember.

I've used other pest control companies in the past and I'll admit that I was skeptical when the Moxie representative came to the house to discuss their services with my wife and I. However, we decided to give them a chance and I must say that I am pleasantly surprised. They sprayed the outside of the house while we were away and came back a few weeks later to spray again, when we continued to see spiders we called Moxie and asked them to come back to re-spray the outside. They showed up immediately and sprayed again, no questions, no hassles, no if, and or buts. We then made an appointment for Moxie to return to spray the inside of our home. The company sent Jose Lozano to complete the job this time. Jose introduced himself, put covers over his shoes and went to work after doing an outstanding job of explaining what product he was using and if it would bother our pets or household plants. He was very pleasant and thorough. My wife and daughter's haven't seen a spider (alive) since his visit. Moxie and Jose continue to provide "Exceptional" customer service in an age where customer service is a dying business practice. I'll recommend them to you and everyone else.

I We have a contract with Moxie for scheduled service throughout the year. We had noticed an increase in ants in our home as well as some large spiders under our deck. I called Moxie and they sent Mike Saller out and he treated inside and outside for the ants and also put down a natural repellent for the spiders. The company called to let me know he was coming, and when he arrived, he came in and inspected the area to be treated. After hearing the issue, he sprayed both inside and out for the ants and then knocked down the spider webs under the deck and used a natural repellent. Since we have a contract with Moxie, the treatment is covered and did not cost anything. Mike was very professional and explained everything he was using.

When I called Moxie, I explained that we had ants in the kitchen and several hornet nests outside. The hornets turned out to be aggressive yellow jackets and they were building nests behind the siding. We had already treated inside for the ants, but Moxie added a perimeter barrier. They also did a broad pest treatment around the entire house. They were not able to get rid of the yellow jackets in one visit. They came out twice more. On the last trip, they tried a different chemical altogether; said it works in a different way. It did the trick. We opted for the one-time service fee because otherwise we are not plagued by pests we feel need to be erradicated. Moxie also offered $100 off this treatment if we purchased a year-round plan. The price was fine, but just more than we feel we need.

Moxie came to my house and offered their services, I thought I was getting a one-time thing, but evidently they conned me into a six month deal. They harassed me on the phone for more services. My friend was also not happy with Moxie-I'm not sure of the details. Beware what you sign up for! READ THE FINE PRINT!!

They did a good job. They were willing to spray even when we weren't home. For some reason, they did not use certain ant killers, but did not seem to have a reason why, except, "the main office told us not to". We had a 1 month trial. You can call as many times as you would like. But there was not much follow up. I did not actually know when my month was up. I thought I'd get some sort of courtesy call.... to see what I thought, if there was anything else they could do. If they did, I would've probably signed up for one of their maintenance plans... but they just kinda forgot about me.... so I'd only call them if I need them...and now, I don't.

Very well. A bit of confusion at first by the initial representative about what their services included, but after that things went smoothly. We selected them because they offered a comprehensive assessment and plan to get rid of rodents. They identified areas for us to take corrective measures, set some traps inside the house but out of sight and provided a perimeter of traps outside the house. They come back and tell us whether there has been activity on the traps. Despite reports of activity on the traps, we have not had any rodent visits in the house since we implemented their measures.

We definitely saw an increase in bug activity in our home after the first treatment and Moxie warned us up front that this might occur. After a week or two, the activity settled down and we are very pleased with the final results. Three weeks after treatment, we had an ant invasion and Moxie returned quick and fixed that issue too. We are on their yearly treatment plan and like the service and the company.

He was fairly thorough with his investigation. By the time he got there we had already trapped the mouse and hadn't seen others but we wanted him to look to see if there were signs where it got in. He couldn't give us any real definitive answers about where he thought it had come into the house, just a lot of confirmation that what I suspected may or may not be the case. He was very polite and professional but I suspect that by the time he got to the house there really wasn't much to see as we already had trapped the mouse.

it went as well as it could, the mice are gone! I just picked a date out of the air, as I don't recall when they came.

Technician was professional and did a good job. Explained everything he was doing and didn't try to sell us on additional services. Good results!

They are pretty good. I have a quarterly contract. They will come back if there is an issue that needs to be resolved. I've been using them for over a year. The salesman was very knowledgeable about the whole pest issue. I had spiders at the time and he knew exactly the type of spiders and the causes. I was impressed with the information that he initially provided to me. They were a little cheaper than what I had before. I haven't seen any pests since I've been using them.
