Moxie Pest Control

Purchased for a move-out inspection but didn't hear back. Was pretty urgent, so found another and they did the service for less than this deal anyhow. Angie's List was prompt on the refund.

They are fairly big in my area. I get a quarterly service from them so they come every 3 months. I am very impressed with their service.

The sales person sold it well, ants will be gone he said. We have stuff that will save my shrubs. He looked and seen no bugs eating my shrubs so he said they can penitrate the ground and kill what ever it is. They sprayed, i waited 3 weeks. Ants are stronger than ever. I called back. They said to. That if i continued to see bugs call them that they would come out as often as needed. So i called. The lady said no one was in the area until a week from then. So i had to wait while my shrubs are getting ate and the ants are eating my grass. When the did show up, $149 later they said nope, we use pellets. If i want to kill grubs to hire someone else to do that part. OBTW, the ants are back in full force and one of my shrubs are infested with some type of spider. Save your money. The stuff i bought from HD does a much better job.

The initial service went well. The technician was careful to take precautions with the pets and used a spray inside and outside. Following the service, we noticed a significant wasp nest on a lattice structure that leans against the house. The wasp nest was at least 8" long and 6-7" wide - hundreds of wasps coming and going. I called Moxie and asked for a technician to come and take care of it. 2 things: First, the Moxie team has been given the most extensive customer service training. Each person I encountered by phone or in person was extremely well trained to focus on me, the customer, and to be cheerful, patient and to ask good questions. I've never told a service provider on the phone that I appreciate their customer service !! Second, the technician that came, Ellie, was so kind and explained how he would handle the wasp issue. He planned to spray first and then he'd put on gloves and scrape the nest that was attached pretty well to the lattice structure. He pulled it down into a garbage bag. I was in the house watching and video taping the whole process! He was completely calm and cool as he was doing it, even though there were lots of angry wasps buzzing around his ears and face! He got it all cleared up and the nest is gone. Ellie gave instructions about keeping the kids who want to be in the pool, away from the area that is closest to where the nest was, just to make sure they don't get stung. I can't begin to express my appreciation for how he handled this nasty angry nest - and now its not a worry! Moxie does great work, their staff are well trained, and they handle the tough jobs effortlessly!!! Thank you!!!

I signed up a couple of years ago with them when they came knocking on my door. They seemed to have a pretty good pitch and it all sounded great. I signed up with them and things started out fine for the first couple of services and then it all went down hill from there. The bugs immediately came back and it was a pain getting them back out here to service my house. It was a nightmare. When I wanted to cancel they told me that I was going to have to spend 169 dollars to cancel my service. The only reason I am writing this review is because they just knocked my door again this summer and I would like to help everyone out that I can so that they don't get tied into this mess like I did. Keep looking for better, cheaper companies ie Orkin, Alterra, Terminix. Good luck!

That went fine. It was okay. There was no problem. They did a good job.

We have always been happy with them. We have a yearly contract with them and they come quarterly. When I have a yearly contract with them, they will come anytime. I've had a problem with ants and anytime they get out of control they will come out. They have always been professional and has always shown up when they were scheduled. They show up on time. Last year we had a Yellow Jacket nest and they came right out and took care of it. They always do a great job. They are very good. I might have to wait a couple of days.

$99 first visit, $119 for subsequent five visits. Techs were very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. I felt comfortable with the service and that it will achieve my needs getting rid of ant problem. I need to see how it goes over the first month to be sure, as they explained. There was an annoying paperwork snafu when they arrived which required me speaking with the supervisor on the phone. That was resolved. Also, the tech requested that I share a review of his services on my choice of websites, including Angie's, (which I am happy to do) as the techs receive tips if they receive good reviews, uncommon in my experience. It concerned me for the techs that part of their income is derived from my further action online, but they did a good job and deserve any extra they can get. I also received about 10 emails over the course of a week reminding me to write a review. This was annoying and over the top. Moxie -- please remove me from your email mailing list.

They were prompt, professional, they charged me half their normal rate and I don't have any complaints.

Christian Bennett was the best technician, from Moxie, that ever serviced our property. He was extremely thorough. He inspected the entire exterior of our house, treated the foundation and performed a thorough crack and crevice treatment to target any insects in the area. He de-webbed the exterior eaves to knock down any webs and prevent the re-build of spider activity. He sprayed the back doors for spiders and treated the entire deck for wasp activity. We will definitely ask for Christian when our next quarterly service is scheduled.

I have had a good experience. We are still using them. I have seen good results with it so I think that is what I am looking at right now.

Came to house promptly and after detailing what the problem was they explained what they would do and in the future if problem still persists they will come out again within two weeks and do again. Have scheduled for them to come again within the timeframe they suggested.

They're useful. Since they've been coming, I've not had a problem with those pests.

I have been using them for about a year and a half. They come out each quarter for treatment. They always arrive when they say they will. If you ever need something in between scheduled appointments, they will come out without any troubles. I have dogs and it is important to me that my gates are never left open. They are very careful to always close the gate when coming and going. I have never had any problems with anyone who has come out. They really go above and beyond what I was expecting.

I never really thought that I would be one to hire an exterminator. I always thought that it was a completely avoidable expense and something that people do when they don't want to deal with the problem themselves. I changed my mind when I recently had to deal with an exceptionally bad hornet infestation after leaving trash uncovered in my back patio overnight. I figured that because I caused the problem, I could very easily fix it, boy was I was wrong. After getting stung numerous times and running around my backyard screaming like an 8-year-old girl, I decided to make a call to Moxie. Moxie was able to come to my house the next day, and thankfully they had the right resources to solve the problem quickly. I now have them come to my home on a quarterly basis for preventative treatments inside and outside the perimeter of my home. I didn't realize until I had the hornet situation how much the occasional presence of bugs bothered me. It really creeps me out to see different pests crawling around all of the sudden, but it had just become normal to have to kill a bug now and again. Now I no longer have to worry about seeing them and being completely grossed out. I feel more at peace in my home now. I find the people at Moxie to be really professional and knowledgeable about what kinds of bug infestations are common, the deterrent solutions that they use, and they are one of the few companies that I could imagine feeling comfortable with letting them into my home. Setting up my quarterly plan was easy and straightforward, and I think it is well worth the cost.

They spray for insects and clear cob web. They don’t what they are supposed to do every time. If you are not home they don’t do the right thing. They are supposed to do the inside and outside but they don’t do the inside. They could improve by doing feedback to customers.

They are relatively competitive with the other service that we had. It seems like they give you more services for the same price. That is the impression I got. They are pretty good I think. They seem to take care of things. If you have a special request, they add them in. We are on a service plan, but it seems like they do not grumble about doing some of the extra stuff. I have good things to say about them.

They did a great job! Ive only seen dead spiders, they did what they said they'd do plus theyre polite & well groomed.

When I called to begin with, the gentleman who I spoke with told me it would be $200. That was fine, but when they damaged it, I was disappointed that they didn't own up to doing it, instead of me having to keep after it to get it taken care of.

Moxie was going door to door advertising their service, we took their information and decided to check Angie's list. After seeing positive responses, we hired Moxie. We were having a problem with Ants getting in the house, spiders, crickets, and ticks in the yard. After treatment, took a few days, but ants were gone and we haven't seen any ticks on the dogs. We do occasionally see dead insects in the basement, but 4 months later and another quarterly treatment, no insect issues at all! Highly recommend their service. We are on a quarterly service of $114. and they will come out as many times as needed between services. Nice job!

After month or two, centipedes, spiders, ants, and silverfish returned.

While relatively satisfied at first, Moxie's customer service recently has gone way down hill. First, we called them in to help with a fruit fly infestation and the serviceman showed up without any fly traps and said that our current traps (over two months old) were working. We then tried to schedule them again and they did not show. The flies have now taken over and we have made our own traps. We also felt like in general the service was not entirely effective, good for ants, but there were still a ton of bugs in our yard.

They were very thorough and got rid of all the cobwebs and insects that were already out there.

MOXIE PEST CONTROL I was very impressed with Moxie?s entire approach to home treatment. In order to best protect our property and the residents, Moxie contacted us prior to our first visit to determine whether there were any children under the age of 1, any pets, any vegetable or fruit gardens, any fruit trees, or ponds/running water. Jay, the technician who treated our property, met with me personally prior to applications. He was very knowledgeable and very professional. He explained the several treatments to be done on our first visit and the purpose of each. He answered all of my questions. The company has definitely made customer satisfaction a top priority and the contract price was very competitive. I would highly recommend Moxie to all in search of pest control. SUSAN M
