Description of Work: We hired Moss to Design and Build out our 2000+ Sq Ft Basement this past year. The entire team did an AMAZING job. Basement was unfinished prevoiusly so blank slate to work with. Project incuded full design of Theater Room, Bar, Billiards Room, Guest Bedroom and Bathroom, Wine Room and Under-Deck area. Tyler was great to work with early on to help us imagine and design our dream basement. The Project Lead (Bob) was on top of every detail and was excellent to work with throughout the entire project. Bob was a great partner with us throughout the entire project and was great to work with as we made minor design updates as we went. He consistently brought his A Team to the job and their attention to detail was great. Special Kudo’s to Dean and John for their amazing wood working skills through-out the basement. They hand-built custom rustic beams for our ceiling out of Walnut — a really nice design element that came out great and every cut was perfect. We couldn’t be happier with the project and would highly recommend the Moss team for your next project!

Description of Work: Requested plumbing to repair a couple of toilet problems following MOSS kitchen renovation. The plumber was assigned to available dates. Preliminary assessment was performed a month prior to the work schedule. Totally complete work was performed by an expert plumber. Could not be more pleased.

Description of Work: We had moss remodel a few bathrooms in the past and after a few years the grout started coming out of the tile floor. The floors were under warranty and they made good on that warranty and redid the damaged grout work. Moss really does stand behind their work and their warranty.

Description of Work: My husband and I decided to do an addition to our house rather than selling it and buying a bigger house because we love our neighborhood and yard (about a half-acre outside of Old Town). We actually looked at houses and never found anything that made us want to move. We interviewed several design and build companies and finally decided Moss Building and Design was the perfect fit for us. | |Our house was a little under 1,000 square feet and is now just over 2,000 square feet. Moss helped us double the size of our house which included a brand new kitchen, laundry room, powder room, office/4th bedroom, master suite (bath and closet), and screened in covered porch. We also reconfigured the existing bedrooms and created a dining room. | |Moss designed the space to meet our needs and worked with us to make sure the layout functioned. It was important to us to make sure the addition flowed well with the existing house. Moss also help us to create a custom built in bench in our mudroom and two custom built in china cabinets in the dining room. We lived in our house throughout the duration of the project. The foundation for our new addition started in August 2015 and we had our first party for the Superbowl in February 2016. My husband really enjoyed having his coffee in the morning while walking around the house with our talented Moss team scoping out the day's work. We shrunk down to our old living room which made up our bedroom, office, and living environment with an adjoining bathroom and makeshift kitchen. It is not 100% recommended but for our situation it worked out great (no kids and one cat). They were great with our cat even though she is a little crazy. LOL The Moss team was great about keeping their work area clean and sectioning off our space to minimize dust as much as possible. We even had a door leading to the work area. This in the end saved us a lot of money and kept us closely involved. | |We dealt with an amazing team of people who walked us through our entire project step by step. Our relationship with Moss started with David Greksouk who came to our house several times to discuss a contract and answering our endless, perhaps annoying, questions. He worked with us to create a budget and contract we were comfortable with and never pressured us to sign it until we were happy and ready. He made sure we had healthy budgets to accommodate our wish list of high end finishes. Our customer care manager, Jodi Jameson, was amazing and a pleasure to work with. She met with us at our house on several occasions and went shopping for our selections with us which made the choices seem less overwhelming. She is a genius at finding cost effective solutions that don't jeopardize quality or functionality. Our project manager, Greg Maratto was also a pleasure to work with. He was always responsive to our emails and phone calls. Our kitchen and bathroom designer, Jennifer Hodges, did a fantastic job maximizing storage and had some brilliant ideas that we would never have thought of on our own. Our lead carpenter, Andrew Malone, is very talented and produced true craftsmanship work. We were so lucky to have him on our project. Our electrician, Joe Hawthrone, was also great to work with and did an outstanding job. He worked with us to get remotes for fans and other little features like USB plugs. Among others who worked on our project, we were very happy with Moss employees, Kai and Alex. They sub-contracted out for the foundation, siding and roofing, and painting. We were very happy with everyone we got to work with. We were also both very happy they had a professional cleaning crew come through at the end. It was so nice to finally rid our house of construction dust and spread our wings in our new home. Like any addition project there were some bumps in the road along the way, but our team was great at coming up with solutions quickly keeping us on schedule and in the end they wanted us to be happy with the final product. We truly felt they wanted us to love our house and we are now Moss customers for life. | |They will be who we call for any home repairs or future projects. We already are thinking of doing a patio and plan to have them do the work. Moss stands by their work with providing a three year warranty and they have been great about coming back for little odds and ends. We were even given a handyman for a day to help us hang things once our project was complete which makes for a happy husband. We are absolutely in love with our new house as is anyone who comes over. We are so thankful for such a wonderful memorable experience. |

Description of Work: Home is 30 years old with patches of rot on trip, including three columns on front porch. Contractor identified, several areas, replaced & painted them. Replaced the columns as well. Ran out of time on the two days purchased so all I had to do was paint the columns.

Description of Work: Fantastic. Got the 8 hour handyman special. David arrived early and worked nonstop. I couldn't believe how much he got done--all of the work was fantastic and I've already booked another session. Already have recommended to my friends and family. Double thumbs up.

Description of Work: Replace water heater, other plumbing repairs, drywall repairs and prepare for painting, fence repair, door repairs. All went very well. Only issue was the amount of lead time required, 3-5 weeks, before they could do the work.

Description of Work: Built a shelf 3' X 7' with a support post below. Enlarged a door opening by a couple of inches. Built a couple of knee walls around existing small cabinets. My only concern was that the large shelf needed more support below but they assured me that it was sufficient support with the one post below.

Description of Work: Moss installed a double bathroom vanity, including the faucets and associated plumbing. The crew was prompt, friendly, and superb problem solvers. Kudos to the plumber Frank, the carpenter Stan, and the electrician Greg. | |One thing to note is cost. It ended up being higher than other bids I got by quite a bit, even after Moss graciously accepted some coupons and tried to discount somewhat.

Description of Work: They remodeled my kitchen. The remodel included relocating plumbing, HVAC duct, electrical, removing soffits and a wall between the dining room and kitchen. Moss has matured in their professionalism, they assigned a field supervisor who had very high standards for his sub contractors. This was a big job (at least for me), and Moss had things down to a science. They set a schedule and stuck to it, they showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves and every sub contractor was held to high standards. Any problems were resolved as quickly as they were discovered, and if necessary they consulted me to make sure I was okay with everything they did.
