Nice conversation, not a good fit for service.

Awesome! Maria, was great on the phone making our appointment. She was friendly and professional. I was wanting the special 8 hour deal for both electrical and handyman stuff. She was able to help me out with the electrical part but they were booked out with the handyman till mid April and I need work done asap. I made the appointment for electrical work to be done and received the Angie's List discount. Brad arrived on time and was super friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. He completed everything including other little jobs I came across or forgot to mention. He was great at explaining why things were not working like the trip button on an outlet in the garage the controlled the light out on the deck which we thought was going to be a major job...who knew!!! Great follow up email from Maria as well. I definitely will be using this company again.

Excellent service. Carpentry was top-notch, carpenter Stan Stevens was a joy to have working in our house, thoroughly professional, highly skilled, punctual, and responsive. Would hire him back, through Moss Design and Build, in an instant.

Dolan was quick and professional. He was determined to leave the area clean and even caught issues I had missed and corrected them.

Very responsive, timely and pricing was very fair for work performed. Follow up and communication was excellent. Highly recommend them for home remodeling projects.

Moss Building & Design | Moss Home Services were terrible. They suck. They didn't get all the work done, it was ridiculous. They were supposed to do a whole lot and they did maybe half of it and then tried to say :hey, we'd like to come back and do more work, he's our rate". I said "eat it because he did a shitty job out to the $500 that we already paid and he didn't finish the work and you guys suck". The lady responded but it wasn't to my satisfaction so I told them don't even bother coming back. I will never use them again.

They are always professional and on time. On occasion they have above and beyond and have not charged extra for it. They are an excellent company and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Moss Building used a contractor to have the work done, and the project manager was on the roof himself making sure the work was completed with highest quality (we received photos of the work in progress). The day after the roof was replaced, we had a huge rainstorm, and there was a leak in the attic. I contacted the project manager the next day, upon which he and a worker came out to inspect the situation. They determined that the water problem was a result of our neighbor's deteriorated siding, which somehow moved the water coming off of their place under our shingles. Moss Building then decided to replace our neighbor's siding for free and install diverters on our roof to solve the problem. I was impressed with the customer service and professionalism exhibited by the project manager and will use their services again in the future.

They did a great job and were quicker than estimate. The honesty was greatly appreciated. I'll definitely use again.

They did an excellent job! Best drywall repair I have ever seen. They were courteous, listened carefully to what I wanted, and got an amazing amount of work done in a short time. I'd use them again in a heartbeat!

We hired Moss to finish our basement. My wife and I had a grand design of a true family space ? media area, play area for our young children, a sports bar, powder room, gym, and open up a walk up to the backyard. By the time we engaged Moss, we had met with other builders and felt comfortable with our design. After some false starts, we selected Moss to carry out our vision. The construction industry has a well-deserved bad reputation, and prior to Moss it was easy to see why ? other contractors missed appointments, provided us with bids that were so high compared to others I think they thought we were ?marks? or bait & switched their contract pricing. There will almost always be issued with any construction project; they are practically unavoidable. The issue however is not what goes wrong, but how it handled and addressed? In this area, Moss (and specifically our PM, Bryon, was superb. Any minor item (we were fortunate to not have any major issues at all) was always addressed timely and to our satisfaction, even things that were our fault. Moss works clean too ? the entranceway from our front door to our basement was always covered in plastic and each night they left our house in great condition. Everyone, and I mean everyone we dealt with was a total pro ? from our Customer Care Manager Jodi to the Project Manager Bryon and all of the craftsmen who worked on our project were simply amazing. Specifically, here are some of the things that highlight the type of people you get with Moss: Ø In installing additional switches, Blake moved the one for the furnace and air conditioning so it would not be turned off accidentally. Blake also insisted on installing a dedicated circuit for our elliptical machine Ø We had a ceiling fan and light installed in the gym, and the switch had labels for ?fan? and ?light? ? a small but nice touch Ø There would have been a loss of space under the stairs, except Jeremy suggested putting in a storage door to makes it accessible Ø Terry?s work on the basement stairs, including his selection of the post and spindles was true craftsmenship! Ø I selected a faucet for the bar and later wasn?t sure I liked it, and Bryon told me anytime I wanted to switch it, he would do it for me Ø Our kitchen garbage disposal was not working properly and Danny fixed it in 2 min (completely unrelated to our project, so he was not above doing a favor) Ø Our yard was badly torn up from the walk up installation and Bryon insisted on making it right, despite clear language in the contract they were not responsible Ø One shelf in the bar area sagged a little bit, and Jodi insisted on having it fixed. This was 6 months after the job! Bottom line, my family and I have the basement of our dreams and the project could not have gone any better. Learn from my mistakes ? call Moss Building & Design first, and you will not be disappointed!

They have fabulous service and they arrived on time. They knew what they were doing regardless of the task. I highly recommended them for all of your handymen needs.

Moss is a five star company. Their commitment to high quality work and customer service amazed me. These guys are truly the real deal! The gentleman who came out to my home was very professional, knowledgeable and eager to help us find a solution to our home repairs. Whats not to love about that? Not to mention the accuracy of their estimate. It was spot on! I will hire Moss for my next home improvement and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to remodel or has other home improvement needs! Thanks for a five star experience!

Moss came highly recommended to me by a friend. I have a long list of home improvements, but first things first, I had to get rid of the hideous light in my entryway. And if one wasn't bad enough, I had a matching one in the stairway too. Greg and Kevin showed up on time and were very pleasant. I thought that we would be dealing with an easy swap, but due to the tight quarters and height of the lights, they had to bring in scaffolding. I appreciated how they put down padding to protect my floors and how they were extra careful to not damage my walls while maneuvering the large items in my small area. Once the scaffolding was up, they had the lights switched out in no time. It was small job, but I was grateful for their effort. I will definitely be looking to Moss for more of my projects, big or small.

Estimator/owner showed up on time. Very nice gentleman. Walked around the house, and listened to me and my wife carefully. I told him the price range I was willing to work with based on my budget, and other estimates. He sent me a quick response on the same day with a rough estimate which was way higher than my target. Not sure the price is justified.

Based on the extra "engineering" required to do the job right, the job went well for me. Sonny and Ramell ended the project in their rain poncho's because the weather changed while they were finishing the job. They were as proud of their work as I am showing it off. Sure, it's just railing, but if you saw what they started with, and what I ended with, the price that they added to my home when I sell it in June will be worth thousands. This was the second time that I had exterior work done by Moss and I requested Sonny and Ramell specifically. The office staff (Michelle) was also professional, friendly and responsive to my needs. Great, great team.

Scheduling was easy enough, but first appt for an estimate fell through due to inclement weather. We rescheduled on a Saturday, and the estimator showed up with his wife. Seemed nice enough a guy, had some good ideas, said he'd write it up and get back to me.... and then NOTHING. I called the office a couple of weeks later.... and still nothing. Long story short - they ended up saving me money, since I did a lot of the work myself. Bottom line - no estimate = no hire. If they weren't interested in the work, from a customer perspective, I'd rather hear that up front and not have my time (or theirs) wasted.

Working with Moss was an excellent experience. Stan, the handyman that came out for the day (we purchased a deal for 8 hours of service) was courteous, on-time, quick, and professional. He got all of the jobs done and did them well- he even made it to a couple of items on our "if there's time" list of secondary jobs! Stan got my input when necessary (for placement of shades and curtains) and was communicative throughout the day. He put down tarps to keep everything clean, and left the house better than he found it. Scheduling was easy, and the woman who handled scheduling got in touch with me promptly. She also was quick to return phone calls. Overall, I am extremely happy with the service and would highly recommend the company.

in my view, Moss misrepresents their deal here. they indicate that electrical work is among the services provided and make no mention that simple tasks such as lighting installation are not covered. they don't stand behind their word; I won't consider using them in the future.

The company was professional and responsive from start to finish. They were the cheapest of three quotes I'd gotten, but none of the service or workmanship was cheap in any way. The work was done quickly (all in one day, with on going time waiting for county inspections to complete) and cleanly. I left for work in the morning and came home to a new room, with almost no trace that anyone had been there. There was none of the leftover construction dust I'd become accustomed to with other projects. John Jenkins, the manager for my project, was particularly helpful, courteous, communicative, and knowledgable. My emails and phone calls were always returned right away, and a couple of minor hiccups were corrected immediately. I couldn't be happier with my new fireplace, and I have every intention of contacting Moss in the future.

Bought 8hrs of handyman service for $499 with Angie's list deal in early November 2013. Moss called within a few days of purchase to schedule. First opening was about a month away in December. I needed them to spray a chemical on the roof to kill algae where there could be no snow or rain within 6 hours of application and temperature had to be above freezing. Ended up having to reschedule twice due to weather conditions. Finally, in early January, they scheduled a day that would work. They sent a crew of two for 4 hours. They were running late due to traffic but called to let me know. They actually completed all the tasks I had for them within 3 hrs but cleaning algae from the roof with bleach did not work so they agreed to come back for another appointment to clean it again. They came back a month later and sprayed an algae killer on the roof and deck. All work was done quickly and correctly and the crew was very professional. Would definitely use Moss again for handyman services.

Maria was super-responsive in getting back with me, scheduling the work, coordinating with the handyman, and sending reminders for the appointment. Stan the handyman arrived right on time and never stopped working on the project. It required cutting the existing cabinetry in order to build a wood frame from 2 X 4s that would be sturdy enough to handle a 77 pound fireclay sink. The design was perfect because I still have plenty of space under the sink. He also installed a new faucet and disposal. The faucet installation was tricky because the old countertop was removed, but he managed to do it and I have a fully functioning kitchen as I wait for another contractor who will be installing a soapstone countertop.

after rescheduling due to no fault of Moss Home Service, the tech arrived on time and reviewed everything we wanted done. He gave me realistic expectations of what he could and what me may not be able to do. He worked hard for the entire contracted period and was able to accomplish almost my whole to do list. His work was top notch and he cleaned up the work area as he went. I will definitely use this service again and recommend it to others
