He was a little late, but no big deal. He was very friendly and informative. He went right to work and was done within 1/2 hour. With the Angie's discount, the cost of the service was half the price of other companies. If we have a problem with our heat pump or furnace we will definitely call Millies first.

HVAC stopped working. Had Millie's send a technician out using the $40 Angieslist coupon. It turned out the heater package had blown out when I had tried to install a digital thermostat myself. There was no replacement since my unit was 28 years old. They sold me a replacement HVAC system and installed it the following week. Everything went very smoothly at all levels - the salespeople were very knowledgeable, the project manager was responsive and responsible and genuinely cared about making sure everything went smoothly, and the technicians who installed the system did a great job and finished ahead of schedule. My new system works great and I am very happy!

We had completed some renovations and needed to have a new boiler installed. When it was time to check the air-conditioning unit a crack was discovered. Since it had been causing us trouble for some time we tried a new company, Millie's HVAC in Chantilly and they provided good service so we decided to get a service contract with them.

Installed whole home humidifier.

The job went very well. It took just under 36 hours from first call to full installation. Price was very, very reasonable, much more competitively priced for a higher rated model than other Angie's A rated companies offering Big Deals on Humidifiers. I did call the Big Deal companies but their Customer Service was very poor. No call back despite repeated attempts on my part to speak with a technician. I wanted to know if it were possible to upgrade and if an automatic model was suitable for my home. I was very pleased with Millies's Customer Service even though I was not able to speak to a technician on my first call. Andy called me back soon after, provided advice on the model and a verbal quote. I was also able to secure a service appointment for the very next day. The technician, Ryan was knowledgeable, neat and professional. It took him about 3 1/2 hours on his own from start to finish, to complete the job including a run to Home Depot for supplies. Will definitely call them back for other jobs.

I was very pleased with them. They were here for a loooong time. They did not leave until we were happy. They will do a courtesy check up in a year. The money I saved by being a member of Angie's List I spent to have my system covered for another 10 years of labor. They also took time to make sure we were very comfortable with our thermostat.

I cannot say enough about the professionalism, expertise and integrity of this company, and particularly their technician Brad. The prognosis from the first company that we contacted was that our system had to be replaced. Seeking a second opinion, we had Millies come out to review the equipment. Brad found the solution to our problem and really helped us evaluate whether this repair would be worth it to make vice a replacement (and it was!). He was knowledgeable and patioent. Our experience with this company was great from the moment they picked up the ohone. Thank you Millies.

I was so pleased. I called Millie's on a Saturday night, they wanted to come first thing Sunday (which I couldn't do), so they came after work on Monday early evening and stayed until it was finished, which was after 10PM. I was pretty amazed at their willingness to work around my work schedule - which almost no contractor does, I've learned. This earns them 5 stars in my book, just for that. The work was excellent, and the price was well below everyone else I called. I've referred Millie's on to friends now.

During the peak heat of the summer I realized my house kept getting warmer and warmer. The AC was on and air was coming out but as I stood over the vent, the air coming out was not cool but warm. I joined Angie's List that day to research a good HVAC company and found an Angie's List Big Deal for Millies. The idea of being stuck in a house in 90+ degrees was scary and I was prepared to go to a hotel. Luckily, they had an appointment that day! The technician came out and took a look at my dinosaur of a AC-unit and also went downstairs to take a look at the furnace. He cleaned the coils (delicately as they are pretty rusted) and checked the freon levels of the AC-unit. Everything looked ok and he showed me that the AC-unit had been "tripped." Apparently, all that was needed was press the reset button. Unfortunately, all of the other work had been done so it cost me about $180 press a button but the furnace probably needed to be cleaned anyways. The technician also did not mind me following him around asking multitudes of questions. As a new home owner, I am always trying to learn more about my house and he gave me some great tips on maintaining my current system and what to look for in the future if I needed to purchase a new system. Overall, I was very pleased with Millies and would use them again (hopefully I do not need them anytime soon).

I am very, very impressed with the service, the price and the responsiveness. I will definitely be contacting them with any future issues. Also with an older unit, I will be talking with them soon about a replacement unit.

After coming home from Vacation, we found our AC was broken and our home was 95 degrees. Millie's was unable to come out that night (a Sunday) but was there first thing in the morning. They discovered we had an electric fire in the unit, and replaced everything in under an hour. They were timely, professional, and we would use them again.

I contacted Millies since my A/C unit had finally ceased to work during the sweltering heat wave we were experiencing. Their technician came over to my home promptly and after the initial inspection he told me it would be wise to invest in a new system as my aging (30 year-old) unit would require repeated repairs and service calls that could incur many more repair bills and expenses. I spoke to their office and they were able to work around my schedule and sent me their rep, Larry Riche. Larry was very professional and courteous and explained to me in details the various systems and their capacities and capabilities. Ultimately, we agreed on a Carrier system. The installers arrived on Thursday morning at 8:45 and worked the entire day to remove my old system and install the new one. Millies' office staff, as well as the installers were all very polite and efficient. There was a minor issue due to a miscommunication between their rep and me, but the owner, Andy, took it upon himself to contact me from his vacation and work with me to resolve the issue to my full satisfaction. I highly recommend this company.

The experience was totally positive. The technician was professional and well qualified. Later I asked Millies to give me an estimate to to replace my ancient furnace. Their price was very competitive.

I called Millie's based on the Angie's List reviews, but was very disappointed. The $69 service call (1/2 price special) was supposed to include a service check and cleaning. When the technician arrived I told him the type of trouble we were having with the system and he took a quick look at the inside and outside units, said we had a leak and needed to replace the coil for $1600. I asked him if he was going to clean the system and he said he would clean it when he came back for the coil replacement. This is not how it had been explained when I'd placed the order, nor is it what was written on Angie's list. The special stated the $69 included cleaning the system. When I asked about possibly replacing the freon he quoted it would cost $600, but couldn't provide any specifics on poundage, which seemed odd. I subsequently called another company who said we did not need the coil replaced made the necessary repair and we're cool once again.

I was very pleased with this company. Their estimator was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of helpful information. They were timely in their performance of the work, and responsive in addressing a few minor issues after installation.

He was very nice, he explained that I asked him questions about. They were one of the first ones to call me, however I didn't use them. They were right on time and he was very professional. I went with another guy who had a cheaper price.

A very good experience in an area (HVAC) that we have often felt is full of charlatans. We put in a service request online and received a call to schedule an appointment within 20 minutes. The technician (not an admin) on the phone asked some pertinant questions about our unit and what we experienced.On the day of the appointment, the technician showed up in the first half of our window (which by the way was a two-hour window, not one of those half-day windows). He already had an idea about what was causing our problem, and a quick diagnosis confirmed it. He provided an estimate for repairs, and completed the repair for the exact cost of the estimate. The entire visit took less than an hour. The technician was courteous and personable.

The day before and on the hottest day of the year so far, I was having trouble getting any cold air out of the airconditioner. I called my usual company, Snell, and they came out right away and determined that I needed a new condenser. Since the unit is 24 years old, it was best to replace the whole condenser unit. Knowing that this would be a very expensive repair especially on short notice, I went on Angie's List to see if by sheer dumb luck, I could get a few companies who had excellent ratings to respond by email to inquiries regarding a new condenser. I was careful to get as many of the model numbers of all of the units ready for these inquiries. To my pleasant surprise, many of the companies which were contacted responded to my emails! By the next morning, I had found a company from Angie's List who was considered reliable and whose price was affordable. Andy from Millie's Heating and Air, came over in the morning just to be sure of the problem. He also addressed another issue I brought up regarding the noisiness of the blower. Even though he tried to discourage me from spending the extra money to fix the noisy blower, I wanted the noise gone ( since it's a rental property and I didn't want to make my rentors have to hear that noise). Andy said that they would have to take the motor out to fix it and replace the wheel hence the extra $400 above the $3,500 for the installation, parts and labor for the new condenser. As part of the installation price, they replaced the outdoor circuit box to the AC condenser, new lines, a new floor and legs which raise the condenser off of the floor. They replaced it that very day. The unit is SOOOO quiet! Wow!While there were a few companies that may have been a few hundred dollars less expensive, I paid a little more for the good track record of this family-run company. This company was great, responsive and affordable.I had my air conditioning dilemma fixed within 24 hours on the hottest day of the year! Thanks, Millie's and Angie!

Called back within the hour on the July 4th holiday! Who does that anymore? Brian from Millie's is the only one I know of. Previously, Millie's repaired my old unit but on June 8th, replaced it with a new one. Millie's graciously applied the previous repair cost to the cost of a new unit and I am forever grateful! I thank Brian for ALWAYS being so responsive and allaying my concerns - which turned out to be nothing - even on the July 4th holiday. I also thank John for explaining all my options to me - both for repairing the old unit and replacing with a new unit. He made it feasible for me to replace my unit at a time I did not think I would be able to financially. Last but certainly not least, I thank Andy for running his business with the utmost in customer service, competence in technical repair, and responsiveness to issues. There is no question he cannot answer and he treated me like gold in spite of my being a demanding customer! I would recommend this company to anyone and already have - including my realtor for her clients.

After interviewing a number of HVAC contractors and comparing a number of suggested systems, settled on Millie's. Andy, the owner, gave the initial estimate, was very professional, even suggested a less expensive alternative system to what I had chosen after my research. His price was competitive and he honored the Angie's list coupon. Work performed on the scheduled date. Received a call in the morning that the technicians were on their way and they arrived shortly thereafter. Patrick the senior HVAC technician and his assistant Matt went to work right away. Since it was an older system and I was doing upgrades on the air handler, Patrick had to do some extra sheet metal work, which he did without delay or grumbling. Matt, his assistant would check in about his progress with the outside unit. The job estimate time was about 6-8 hours and it took about 8 hours to replace the system. Both Patrick and Matt worked diligently and professionally and I appreciated their positive attitude towards the job, and for answering my questions about the system. Follow-up inquiry about registering the system with the manufacturer was handled promptly. In an era where customer service is an endless and useless telephone menu loop and I don't give a d*** about your problem attitude, this was very positive experience from start to finish. The equipment and service were definitely value for money spent. Thanks for your professionalism and courtesy.

If I could give them an A++ I would. We were so pleased with the experience!!! And the cost was very reasonable! I originally called a few larger companies who tried to get us to do the work ourselves over the phone, or simply took our name and submitted a trouble ticket. By the time they called back, Millie's had already dispatched and fixed the problem. I decided to call Millie's based on the reviews and their advertising of being a smaller company who values customer service. Brad was dispatched to our home the same day we called, within a few hours. He quickly determined that the flooding was not caused by a leak, but rather a clogged floor drain. He tried to clear it but was unsuccessful and recommended we call a plumber. He then noted that coolant was low, notified me and refilled it. We thought that would fix it, but the next morning we called Millie's again when our home wasn't cooling as it should. Brad came back within a few hours and diagnosed a tricky problem. He was very professional and took the time to explain how our units work and what the problem was. Since we just moved here from Hawaii a few years ago, we were unfamiliar with heating and cooling systems. Brad took the time to explain and also provided recommendations for how often we should get maintenance. He didn't try to oversell. Their customer service, responsiveness and professionalism were of such high quality, we decided to sign up for their annual service plan. We highly recommend Millie's for any heating and AC work or problems. To top it all off, Brad didnt have any problem with Benson, our newly adopted 124-lb bullmastiff puppy. And the total cost included an annual service plan.

CALL MILLIE'S FIRST - YOU WON'T NEED TO GO ANYWHERE ELSE! I never heard back from a big-named company I called this morning! I called Millie's at 10am and my problem was fixed by 1pm the same day - OUTSTANDING SERVICE all around! My heat pump air handler variable speed motor failed and none of the estimates for repairs or replacements were palatable until I called Millie's. Incredibly friendly and competent Jennifer answered the phone and provided IMMEDIATE service by taking my model and serial number information. Within 30 minutes, Andy called to let me know what my repair cost would be. I could tell he was a straight shooter and I was in good hands. Andy was able to fit in the repair over lunch THE SAME DAY so I could be back for my afternoon meetings. He sent Brad - a senior technician - out with a new fan motor who installed it in less than an hour. Brad is the most knowledgable and capable technician I have ever dealt with. he checked out the system before starting so I could be sure the costly repair (though more reasonable than my other quotes) was worth doing instead of replacing the unit all together. Brad patiently helped me weigh the pros and cons of my decision. I was completely confident in his assessment of the problem and he did not try to sell me anything additional. The price quoted was the price charged and I know if there are any problems, which I do not anticipate, that Millie's will help me work it out because Andy called me back after the service call and assured me of it. It is rare to find the kind of service I was fortunate enough to experience today. I will definitely be back.

I called several companies from Angie's list. Milles was the most responsive and friendly. I had an estimate from their company come by and provide an estimate. Their price was lower, and for better equipment, than the company i have been using for the last 10 years now. ( who shall remain nameless ) - I accepted Millies proposal and had the system installed this past weekend. It's rare these days when you get what you pay for, and that was my expeirence with Millies. The system was installed exactly the way it was written up in the initial proposal, and Pat ( the installer ) was awsome, very friendly and knew exactly what to do. I appreciate their honesty and would definetly use them in the future ( hopefully i wont need them for a while as i now have a brand new system.
