Meadows Farms Landscaping

From design (Rocky Meadows) to execution led by John (foreman), all aspects exceeded expectations! Crew did a wonderful job.

They arrived more than an hour early and got to work. Everything went smoothly!

John and his crew were amazing during the installation. John has a great eye and was very helpful. His artistry and Marjorie's design made my yard look like a TV makeover. So happy.

They have a warranty. They come and replace every dead plant but they put plants that were questionable. The designer was nice. He came out and work stuffs out.

Crews showed up as scheduled and did excellent work for the most part, had some minor issue (truck leaked oil on driveway, tree needed staking) that were address promptly and with good will.

It went great - as described. She showed up an spent some time with my wife. We received a landscape plan with ideas for plants and costs associated from the nursery.

Superb. Jennifer was professional yet exceptionally personable. She tailored the design to our specific tastes, offered us tips on where we could shave down the overall cost of the project, ensured the proposal met HOA requirements and actively factored proper water run-off into the concept (shed water away from the foundation). Jennifer turned around the completed written estimate within a matter of hours and worked with the company management to schedule the landscaping project to best meet our hectic schedules. Outstanding service at reasonable cost; we look forward to dealing with Meadows Farms again for future projects.

They showed up on time, completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. Work was completed properly and they cleaned everything up in an acceptable manner.

Carolyn Chase was the landscape designer. I had used her for another project and loved the result. She designed a beautiful garden that (once again) captured exactly what I was looking for. The plants are gorgeous and healthy and my neighbors love it as much as I do! Carolyn makes the process so easy. She has a wonderful sense of aesthetics and is very knowledgeable about what plantings work best. Highly recommend!

I did not use Meadow Farms because 1) I subsequently interviewed one other firm which I selected because of their experience in the specific garden style that I was interested in. 2) I was not impressed by the reviews of eadow Farms' actual landscape installation services.

Was supposed to return but never did.

Arrived on time, finished when expected. Work is neatly done.

Patio crew (4 men) took down old fencing in about 5 min. and began grading the patio area. The yard was divided in several sections where the men dug out and leveled the ground at a slant away from house. Layers of rock, gravel and cement were laid down and compressed with a machine. The pavers were cut onsite and laid, then more sand was poured down to fill the space between. The next day the carpentry crew came and began building the fence. At this point we noticed that there was no exit for the down spouts coming from the roof house. The carpenter poured a small amount of water down the spout and it quickly came back up. We called the main office and were told that the project manager (Glenn) would return the call. It was several hours before we were able to reach him since he was at another job. Glenn came to the house late in the afternoon and confirmed that there was no exit and that the area where it should've been would need to be dug up. At this point I was told that the downspout was not part of the original contract so an additional $120 was incurred to have this done. I wish I had known this before the job was started as I would've had it done to begin with. The fence was done very well and quickly so I decided to add to include an additional side of fencing. Originally only 2 of the 3 sides of the fence were being replaced. The addition of the extra fencing and having to correct the drain issue resulted in an extra day of work. Had the drain not been an issue, the project wouldn't have taken an additional day. It took 1 month, many calls and site visits to finish the patio correctly. After the drainage issue was resolved, there were several problems with loose pavers within the patio and the perimeter pavers. The work crews and project manager were all very pleasant and knowledgeable. The secretary/scheduler bordered on rude and complained about her job. I received a tentative scheduled date, but never received a confirmation call, instead I had to call the office the morning of day 1 to confirm that a crew was really coming. The secretary seemed inconvenienced the 3 times that I called to confirm specifics on the 1st day of work. When problems arose I had to call several times get any answers and towards the end just called the designer directly. Now that all of the work is complete the patio and the fence look really nice and exactly as I pictured it would. Had the drain and patio issues not come up this would've been an "A" job.

In March, 2013 Meadows Farms installed 10 arborvitae trees. The trees came with a lifetime warranty. Two of them died this summer, so I contacted Meadows Farms. They responded the same day. I had to pay $80 per tree to have them installed, but the trees themselves were free. The woman explained the clause in my contract in a professional manner. The trees were installed on the correct day, but they were only half-planted. I complained to Meadows Farms... they apologized & sent another crew to reinstall the trees. The second time the trees were correctly installed.

We arranged through Meadows Farms for a designer to come to our home, specifying we wanted something with hardscaping experience as that would be the focus of our project. The designer assigned (Jill Lehman) was very nice, but didn't ask many questions about likes and dislikes. I shared with her that we had a 20k budget and that we wanted to focus time and money on hardscaping in the back yard, and very little on the front, as we wanted something very simple there. She took measurements, drew an outline of the property, and said she would schedule another time to meet once the plans were ready. We we met next, she had drawn plans for the front yard only, and had created an estimate for that portion of the project which equaled almost half of our budget. When asked about the back yard, she said she hadn't done that yet, because she had already used much of the budget on the front yard, and she wasn't sure whether or not we would want to change our plans for the back yard as a result. We reminded her again that we weren't interested in all of this for the front yard, and wanted to focus on the back yard. She said she had already spent all of her time on the front yard, so it would cost more for her to produce a design for the back yard. So, we called it off at this point and decided to work with someone else. The main reason for the bad rating - not listening and not providing us with what we asked for.

Lisa's estimate was fair. John and crew executed, totally satisfied.

I purchased this plan for a new pool we were having installed, the 1st designer called and we agreed to wait until the pool was started. I called after some time and found out that designer had left. I called Meadow farms and was assigned a new designer. we scheduled time, she rescheduled. I had told her of my travel schedule but based on her schedule we had to wait until I returned. She rescheduled again. She finally came did some measurements. Weeks went by, I followed up and got a list of basic plants (knock roses, etc). I don't think a list of common plants is worth $250. I followed up several times, crickets! I did not spend a lot of dollars but this was a terrible experience which is a very bad reflection on the company. I think that Angies List should vet the deals before offering as this will also be a bad reflection on Angies list as well. I do have emails to back up this review

This is the second home we have called Meadows Farms to re-landscape. On both occasions they did a great job - didn't try to give us more than we needed. They are courteous, professional and reasonably charge for their services.

Jim & crew (Saul, Steve & more) were on time, worked efficiently and cleaned the work site each day. Excellent workmanship and we were most satisfied! Follow on: The landscaping crew led by John Melti was on time and efficient. Great work! Left a clean job site and offered great suggestions for future improvements. Overall, we are very impressed with the Meadows Farms teams. Will hire again! The design was provided by Michael Gentile which was very good!

Fantastic. They arrived on time. We discussed the planting locations and everything was completed as expected.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. There were no additional charges.

John Welti & team arrived early to re-landscape the small yard. Reasonable price, great to work with, left care instructions and finished up in about 2 hours. Under estimated the sod amount due to tree removal and will have to return.

After an initial miscommunication, Meadows Farms called up and immediately scheduled a follow up appointment to complete the plan. The designer was very nice and extremely professional.
