Jon was great! Not pushy and very helpful. He tailored his suggestions to what we were trying to accomplish.

The design was at best something a 6th grader could have come up drawn. Since I purchased a design for the yard, I'm more than disappointed at the service I received. The designer provided a design that I could have drawn myself. She didn't provide suggestions on ways to improve the design of the existing landscape or how to redesign the existing landscape to improve the layout. I had a new walk installed and was hoping for a compelling design that maybe a landscaping company would have come up with. The information regarding plants was so generic and lack luster its no different than what I had. I certainly would have thought a designer would have had some type of vision. My neighbors had purchased the same package but had a different designer. They both received full yard designs with suggestions for each area and ways to improve the landscaping. Totally disappointed. Lack of attention and detail. She made a disparaging remark about how she could see I liked to do things myself. I would suggest she was worried about getting to her next appoint and that she didn't think she was going to sell the design. I take offense to that assumption. If this is the type of designer Meadows Farms now sends out for a design consultation, no thanks.

Purchased one of the big deals for $29 for landscape evaluation and landscape plan. The plan that was provided was excellent. It has been very helpful for planning our landscaping. As expected at the end of the plan came the price tag for Meadows Farms to do all the landscaping and install the plants; that was very high. But for the deal, the plan and evaluation was a good deal.

A week or so later (after a reminder), the landscaper provided a proposal with a number of suggestions of work we could have done in the backyard. The number was more than double what we had discussed in person and when we asked for a more reasonable estimate we were given a bare bones estimate with mostly work we could do ourselves. So, we didn't end up contracting the landscaping firm for any services, but the exercise of having them come out and walk through the garden with us and discuss our options was a very good value from our side. We ended up using a number of his suggestions and planting some of the plants he suggested ourselves. We also used his referral for a very good sprinkler company (Hydro-tech) that did good quality work. Altogether, though we didn't end up contracting them, it was a good experience.

Landscape design was good. Install team very polite and punctual. Installation took 2 days instead of one but great job. Very happy.

The customer service and the way Meadows stands behind their work and plants is impressive, working with foreman like John Walti made it a really good experience.

I was very pleased with the results of the work done. The crew were knowledgeable, polite, and experts. We love Meadow Farms!!

After the initial install I had several plants that were in bad shape after 1 month. I was told to wait another month, still did not look good. Called again, never heard back from some one. Called again, told it would take 2 weeks, still no call back, called again, was told that someone would call-nope! Had to threaten to call the BBB just to get a call back. Came to replace new plants, disaster!!! one plants didn't even have a root ball, second plant wasn't even the same plant. Another week and half goes by, many calls on my part, and finally got new plants, still can't say they are going to make it. Meadow Farms did apologize, send out a new crew to fix the second fix of plants, and did give me a gift card as an "I'm sorry" BUT first of all they need to get rid of the person who handles the landscape phone calls, she is nasty and rude. Second of all, train your install guys on what a health plant looks like. Overall, I must say I was sorely disappointed in the amount of time it took me to get this issue resolved (and I am not sure it is totally yet-I still have the rest of the year to see if the plants survive) and the lack of professionalism I encounted when trying to resolve the issue (however, once I reached the "management level" it was quickly resolved) however, customers shouldn't have to reach that level just to get a phone call returned, and it should not take 2 months to replace a damaged plant

Installation was done with professionalism and a very pleasant supervisor. Some difficulty with having the contract rewritten after denial by HOH of some of the plantings.

Everything went smoothly, work was completed without issue. John and crew did an outstanding job.

Scheduling was difficult and I was unaware that the company would not set an instal date until after they reached be again by phone. This was after signing the contract and they had charge the deposit on my credit card. On the day of install, the crew didn't seem very informed and my husband had to give them instruction on what to do. The placement of the sod was poor and looked bad and I am not sure that all of the product was used that we purchased. When I called to complain, they agreed to come back out and replace the sod within two weeks. There were also scheduling problems here and they didn't show the date that they said they would. Again, my husband had to explain what to do. The fixes that they did made looked good and everything look much better, and they said the retaining was wasn't quite correct so they rebuilt that. Overall, each person in the company seemed to blame someone else for the probelms with the work or scheduling. In the end, things seem to look and be holding up well, but I don't have the most confidence in the company.

The meeting went great. He spent a lot of time with us going over what our needs were and the possibilities. However, the price to do the work was outrageous and costs a lot more than we were expecting, so we did not contract to have the work done by this vendor.

Rocky was very knowledgeable and thorough and covered several options for improving our yard. We signed up for the work which will be performed this month. We are not providing ratings on price as we have not sought additional quotes for the work. We were happy with the proposal Rocky offered. We will provide further input on quality once the work has been performed.

The designer Meadows Farms sent, Marjorie Smith, spent over two hours with me at my home. The other company who came out for a design plan and estimate took photos and chatted with me, returning later with a design that was not "me" at all. It looked like all the other patios I had seen, nothing particularly interesting. And he wanted to replace all my current bushes. I wasn't really sure what I wanted in a patio design and Marjorie was very good at helping me articulate what I would like (an interesting design....interesting pavers with a wandering pathway....more cottage gardening in nature with soft lines. She agreed to work around, and to leave, as many of my current bushes as possible. I've signed a contract and the work is scheduled for August.

Fast and efficient planting crew. Friendly and answered all questions.

Crew showed up on time and were very nice. They went right to work and did a great job. I highly recommend then for landscaping.

Crew arrived on time and completed work by 12:30. About 3 1/2 hours total time. Excellent work, beautiful results! Removed all plants to curb.

We had a terrific meeting and planned out what plants would be good/we liked for our front flower beds.

Okay, have not hired them to implement the plan but may.

Their designing appointment went okay. He was helpful in providing a real plan for the backyard design. However, if I knew how frustrating it would be in dealing with Meadows Farms customer service representative after their incomplete install, I would have not pursued the installation with their company. My experience with the Chantilly office was extremely stressful. I was charged for pruning which was not done the day of the installation and when I called the first time to get a date on when they may arrive to finish the job I was blown off with no date and a promise of call back. I waited almost a week and called again and this time the woman hung up in my face. I called the manager to complain that same day and never received a call back from him. Im still waiting for a call back on a date informing me when they will Finish the job.

Great experience with Meadows Farms landscaping! I honestly had no intention of purchasing installation when I purchased the Angie's List deal for a landscape design plan. I'm sure that's part of their strategy to drum up business too! However, I really connected with the designer they sent out, Nick Delledonne, who was very familiar with the District. Using measurements he took and my home plot he drew up a beautiful plan taking into consideration my wants and budget. We then came inside and discussed everything more. Once he sent the pictures of the various flowers and shrubs I was sold! The only improvement could have been if the design was typed of computer generated as it was difficult to read. Nonetheless, it didn't hurt that they enticed me with an additional winter special discount off the total price. Even so it was still pricey, slightly less than I expected, but totally worth it. The investment improves the value of my home, boosts curb appeal, and they set me up with special 0% interest financing as long as I pay it off in a year, which I already had half of the money set aside so I totally will. I probably could have gotten my lawn service to do the same work for a fraction of the cost. However, they lacked the expertise needed to know what would work best with my soil, lighting, home, neighbors landscaping etc. Not to mention they offer a lifetime warranty on their plants in case anything dies. I've already gotten rave compliments from my neighbors on the landscaping and I can't imagine how it'll look in a year or two as things start to grow out even more! Installation was also seamless which I was worried about given how far they are from DC. The guys arrived promptly, were super cordial, and worked their a**** off the entire time to get everything set-up. They asked questions as needed and explained all the questions I had for them. They even reached out to the designer with a question about how he wanted something to look. They cleaned up my yard, sidewalk, and street VERY thoroughly before leaving which I appreciated and I'm sure my neighbors did as well. Overall I was very impressed with the work and the new look and hope everything holds up well.
