Meadows Farms Landscaping

Basic design. Requested prior sketch of property. Looking for larger project. Provided photos (late) and very basic design. Not useful enough for me to execute. Ok. But won't go for this type of Angie deal in the future. Services was for design. Provided ideas. Probably could get same service by just requesting quotes from Landscaping firms.

The designer, Hugh Perry, spent 2 hours evaluating the landscape and drawing up an executable plan, which I later implemented as Phase 1. Very pleasant experience - Hugh was prompt in both the design work and followup installation of hardscape and plants.

Design: The estimate went well, however the original design did not completely account for the *actual* usage pattern of the walkway. We currently park in our driveway which means you need to walk around the front of the car to get to the walkway. The original recommendation was to move the walkway away from the home an additional six feet for aesthetic appeal, however, someone would need to walk through the grass to get to the walkway as a result. A few days after the original estimate, I pointed this out and they quickly made the changes to the drawing. The walkway design itself was simple but well planned. The recommended paver stone (colors) went well with our home. Scheduling: Despite having paid the deposit for the job weeks in advance, they were unable to schedule me until the week before. This is difficult to plan for at home and caused me some scheduling issues. Once scheduled, the crew were punctual and did the work in the estimated time window. Unfortunate, due to quality of sod work, we had to schedule another future date. This took 3 weeks since the quality inspector failed to make it a priority to address the concerns quickly. That said, I recognize it is a busy season and since the walkway itself was well done and in good condition, I was willing to wait a little bit for the sod correction. Execution: The very first design appointment was late by 10 minutes, but she was courteous and all went well after that. The crew showed up punctually and were also courteous. They did a great job with the elevation of the walkway that was required and the paver installation, as well as the cutting that was required to follow the edge of the driveway for a step out pad. Due to the elevation of walkway, we needed to taper the lawn from the walk into the existing lawn. This work was rushed and subsequently needed to be reworked. When I pointed this out to the designer, I was disappointed that she pushed back saying that it would sort itself out after 6 weeks of rain and growth even though the sod edge was not embedded flush. To her credit, she followed up with her customer service who came out and agreed with my assertion that the work needed to be corrected. The same crew came out and spent the better part of 1-1.5 hours reworking the taper and sod to achieve a much better result. Overall: We are pleased with the courteousness of the staff, the recommendations provided, and final product once completed. While we had some challenges in the original design recommendation regarding placement as well as the execution around the sod work, I would still hire them again. The fact they were willing to listen, adjust, and then later take a second look and correct the details really makes a difference in anyone providing services today.

The planning process was great. Company was very responsive to my wishes and work within my budget. Very timely on appointments and everyone I dealt with extremely friendly and customer oriented.

Crew showed up on time, explained the design plan, installed quickly, cleaned up, & reasonably priced.

We loved the original designer. They guided us towards deer resistant plants. The beds look terrific.

A team of three came & worked or the front garden. The results are just what we loped for only one plant can’t get available out will be installed when it arrived in the nursery. Very nice, friendly team! We highly recommend meadow forms & Lewis turner as the lands cape designer! (The price & quality will se a future note so we’ll see low they grow) gave on a now as the warranty is outstanding so I know the price & quality are on A!

Designer Nick drew up plans to refresh/plant/replace the backyard of my townhouse, and small areas on the front and side. He listened carefully to what I wanted, helped me figure out what I wanted, and produced a very nice design. He was responsive when I had additional questions as well. I decided to go with Meadows to execute his design.

We set up an appointment. She called and wanted to change it to the next day due to her car being available. She called at the appointment time the next day. She was in Leesburg. She didn't even know where I lived. Very ill prepared. Never got a plan. Didn't like what she was proposing.

We are still waiting for another estimate before making a final decision, but we were very impressed with Mr. Harley. Estimate was very reasonable compared with others we'd received.

He was pleasant and informative. He listened to our ideas and made good suggestions. He was very responsive to follow-up emails. I expect that we will have Meadows Farms go ahead with the project.

Bonnie came out to see the property and discuss the idea I have for the backyard. She provided a hand-drawn sketch of a recommended plan and suggested types of plants/trees/shrubs/hardscape materials for us. I was also provided a quote for different ranges and costs for the project. I appreciated her accommodating the schedule to come early as a major blizzard was coming though. We were able to complete the discussion and I have an idea of what the project could cost. Bonnie concentrated on one area of the backyard project, stating the project would be broken into phases, although I had hoped the entire scope of the backyard would be planned out. Nevertheless, I have what I need to make a decision when the time comes to proceed with the project.

We were really impressed with her knowledge and professionalism. She gave us a rough quote and later sent an email with the plan drawn out and with a more detailed quote. We were very happy with Meadows Farms and Marjorie for giving us some great ideas and a very reasonable quote for the work.

The crew was very informative & worked very hard. The installation was perfect. Plus they worked through the rain. I could not be happier with their knowledge & performance.

This was a big deal purchase. It did not turn out very good. They just were not responsive. I had to chase the guy down. He came, and then he didn't come. It took him forever to get back to me. The pricing was fine. I was not impressed what he came up with.

Went well; prompt response for the initial consultation. Very quick with producing the plan, which conformed to what we were interested in having in the yard.

They were pleasant to talk to but, they were way over priced. They didn't follow-up on anything. I had the feeling that they sold me things that they wanted to get rid of, as opposed to what was suitable for my place. They were very expensive and some of them died. It was difficult and they implied that they were going to include mulching and maintenance. They didn't and they were very hard to get my hands on. Their availability was not great. They sold me stuff that wasn't healthy for my place.

Crew arrived within promised time frame & completed the job.

Crew arrived on time, got right to work, did a great job. Foreman, John Willis, answered all questions & checked with me before planting in ground.

Flawless installation by professional crew. The landscape designer Hugh Perry is an artist. Same issues some issues with plants dying due to late planting. But they completely owned the replacement under warranty.

Designer - John Fish, Installation - John Welte. Landscape designer was thoughtful and patient and took time to described options. Implementation - on time courteous, professional and explained work to be done. Would highly recommend.

crews arrived timely, were polite, professional and each working prices for later and plants were reasonable. used Meadow farms designer for planting design. Would use again!
