Description of Work: Mannix was called to address a problem with our humidifier. The technician discovered the problem immediately (the drain had some blockage) and replaced both the humidifier water panel and the in-line air filter. Great service and very responsive to our needs.

Description of Work: Installed a replacement heat pump (HVAC, both indoor and outdoor machinery) using existing ductwork. It went smoothly and quickly. Very nice personnel, both the estimator (salesman) and the installers. They all seemed experienced and professional.

Description of Work: They installed a new heating and cooling system and they come twice a year to service the unit from heat to air conditioning and in the late spring and from AC to heat in the late fall I can say that it was reasonable in price and we are very happy with Mannix

Our air conditioning unit was not working properly and the technician was able to add the coolant WITHOUT INSISTING WE HAD TO REPLACE THE EXISTING UNIT WITH A NEW ONE. Professional and would definitely recommend the company. We will also have them come back in the early spring to re-test all of our units.

Description of Work: We asked Mr. Mannix to check out the heat pump in the attic because we were told by two other companies that our heat pump was old, rusty and needed to be replaced and I wanted a third estimate. Mr. Mannix said our heat pump was old but that there was nothing wrong with it and asked why we had wanted it checked out. I was surprised and impressed by his honesty. He surprised me further by not charging us for his time and efforts. We definitely will deal with him in the future.

Description of Work: Needed a total new air handler and heat pump to replace a ten year old model. Mannix gave the best price of 4 bids, arrived a few minutes early on installation day with a crew of three, actually increased the size of the unit proposed for the same price and ripped out the old and installed the new system within 7 hours. Due to power failures I have had to call them back two times, both times they were at the house within 3 hours of the same day and made the repairs, all of which was included in their warranty period. Extremely satisfied with them and highly recommend.

Description of Work: I have used Mannix Heating and AC services for many years, checking out the healt of the systems semiannually. They are responsive and have tended to my needs even in extreme weather conditions such as the time the heating went out on a cold, snowy Friday evening. The service man came and discovered the problem: a failed blower motor. As the snow fell, he returned to the shop in Chantilly searching for a replacement motor. He found one that he could adapt, and we were up and running, warming our frigid house. The repairman left after nine o'clock for his home in Culpepper, an hour and half away under the best of driving conditions. That's dedication; he didn't wait until the next day; we were toasty warm that night! I have continued to use this company for semiannual checks with outstanding service. I have also had an energy efficient cooling system installed to replaced my 30-year old one. Again with excellent results.
