Mannix provided a reasonable estimate to replace my old heat pump heating and cooling system with a new Carrier Infinity Smart System. They were very courteous and helpful during the whole process of getting Washington Gas to install a gas line from the street to our home, installed all of the connecting gas lines, exhaust and air intake ducts, putting in the new equipment and taking care of a few minor issues. They explained all that needed to be done and why. This was a big project that took two days to complete once the gas line and meter were installed. One day was spent adding the gas lines and duct work. The next day was spent installing the new furnace, air handler, humidifier and new smart thermostat and hooking up the gas lines. After the work was finished I noticed that they had reused my old air filter instead of installing a new April Air 2410 unit. I also noticed a clunking noise that seemed related to the humidifier pressure shut off. I contacted Mannix and they sent two technicians out to install a new air filter and resolve the clunking noise. They returned and took care of every issue beautifully. These technicians worked quickly and efficiently in handling all aspects of the job. They were polite and professional and gave a wriiten record of all the work completed. I especially like how neat the system looks compared to the old electric air handler and heat pump. The new Carrier Infinity Gas Heating System has worked beautifully, even through a blizzard. My wife and I noticed how quiet our house is compared to the old system. The humidifier was able to keep the humidity inside at a comfortable 31% even during the coldest weather. We could not be happier and would gladly recommend Mannix Heating and Cooling LLC to anyone needing heating or AC service or even a electric - gas conversion system. The technicians, Matt and Billy, did an excellent job installing our new gas system.

They say you figure out who your friends are when things are tough, and that certainly holds true of your vendors too. During the snow storm over the last few days, we were completely snow-bound and no one could reach the house. Our primary furnace stopped producing heat. Unlike most of the HVAC companies, these folks called back immediately from their call center, got a repair person on the phone multiple times, and walked me through trying to diagnose the problem across these multiple calls. This was when I was NOT under an annual contract with them, and without charging me a dollar. To say the least I'm signing up both our units for annual contracts with them. In an era of commoditized services, these folks demonstrated how to differentiate themselves. Thank you Bill, Sarah, and others.

Mannix was great. We worked with 2 of their HVAC specialists and two electricians. We also met with the owner, Jerry. Very impressed with their staff and the company as a whole. Will use for any future HVAC or electrical needs. Highly recommend this company.

Technician came out the next day and was extremely helpful and patient. He wasted neither my time nor my money and while my problems ended up being electrical, rather than heating system related, he was happy to poke around and help me understand what I needed to tell the electrician.

They provided quick diagnosis of the problem and had the needed part in their truck. Repairs were done within a couple of hours.

We've been using Mannix for over 3 years now. They replaced one of our HVAC systems. They're also performing spring/fall HVAC maintenance for us. Price is reasonable and company's technicians are professional, honest and show up on time.

I have used Mannix for servicing my old, 60yr old hot water boiler used for my radiator heat in our home. The old system was not efficient, but kept the house warm throughout the years. When I fired it up for the first time this season, the circulation pump would not come on, leaving the system nonfunctional.. We received three estimates to replace the pump ($750 was the least), and three estimates to replace the whole system. Mannix gave us the best price for either, so we went with a new Carrier boiler, being the most cost effective. Mannix came out on time for each estimate, and was extremely professional overall. Their team of four technicians installed the new system in half a day, and they were especially professional - clean, quick and efficient. The new boiler is efficient and quiet, and is night and day better that the old system. I can't overstate how professional Mannix is - they are the best! Highly, highly recommended!

Exceptional company to work with! High quality work at competitive pricing. The crew was extremely professional and clearly understood how to install and explain the operations of the equipment. They arrived early, took time to prep the job site and protect the flooring and surrounding areas and applied the same amount of care was to clean up. We had two teams of installers - Billy & Matt and Jeremy and Melvin. They were all fantastic!! We are switching to Mannix to continue with our energy maintenance plan.

After 13 yrs in the townhouse, the builder grade HVAC in the bedroom level broke. After reviewing various contractors on Angie's list, I called Mannix for an estimate and quickly got a visit from Hal. I wanted to go with Carrier since my friends and family have experienced great reliability with that brand. He showed me my options and taught me something new about not being able to get a super efficient furnace installed because of the location of the furnace in the townhouse. Had it been a single family house that would have been possible. An estimate was given and the price was reasonable especially with the 0% financing plan. Two crews showed up at around 8am and was able to complete the job before the heavy rains in the afternoon. It was a good thing since they had to sit equipment outside as well as install the outside units. Before work began inside, canvas was laid down over the hardwood floors and carpet. The job was completed in about 6 hours. The technician showed me how to operate the wifi thermostat before they left. There was one thing that irked me a little. The light bulb in the attic was accidentally broken. Rather than ask me for another one, the technician took one from an existing lamp fixture. Overall, it was a job well done. I've noticed the increased efficiency in both units compared to the original equipment.

The technician did a thorough review of the situation, checking all units (heat pump in attic, main HVAC system in basement, and units outside). It took over an hour, he clearly did not rush. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything and what our options are.

I first had Mannix provide a second opinion on the state of my old unit as the compressor seemed to be near its end of life. Once satisfied that I needed a new system, I had them provide an estimate. I went with Mannix because they offered the high efficiency equipment that I wanted; they offered the best warranty on parts, compressor, and labor; and my research regarding reliability of Carrier suggests it is among the best products (Consumer Reports); and Mannix is factory certified with Carrier so obviously know the equipment. My last system was Carrier and it performed very well through it's normal service life. In the estimate, they offered a furnace/CAC combination that was properly sized to my home (I had a quote from another firm that was clearly not) and focused on my efficiency priorities. All of the people I interacted with from Mannix were extremely professional. They let the equipment sell itself, were right on time for three separate appointments (inspection, estimate, and installation), and installation went very smoothly. I am very satisfied with the work performed and am very happy to have cool air flowing again.

We got them twice and it is a fixed price for year. What is bad about them is that I really, really liked the first guy who came out. He fixed my air conditioner. I liked him so much I signed up for their service. Since then their turnover has been so high that I have never gotten the same guy back a second time. So, some of them are good and some are bad. The quality of the work has been fine so far. Their professionalism depends on which one I get; most of them have been pretty good.

We were satisfied with them. We used them before. They were good. I do not think we had any issues. I think it worked out fine. I think they did everything as planned and scheduled.

I asked Mannix to inspect my A/C system to get an 2nd opinion for oil leaking problem from my blower motor. The technician came to my house on time. He inspected the A/C system and blower motor and gave me a similar diagnosis - the motor leaks oil, not an immediate threat but better to be replaced. He seemed to be not so enthusiastic at first sight, but inspected the blower motor thoroughly and answered every question I asked professionally. He even contacted the Mannix company to check the blower motor was still in warranty. (Sadly, it was not). Also, the estimate from Mannix was also much cheaper than the previous one so I decided to use Mannix to fix my blower motor. For replacing the blower motor, they contacted me one day before to confirm my appointment and the technician arrived on time. He replaced the motor and checked its working status within the time he promised to finish. the new motor is working well now.

The unit never worked properly. I had Mannix come in to determine what the problem was and they did not fix it. I called another HVAC repair company (Snell) and they told me that the cooling/heating unit I have had a defective part. Snell said to replace the part would be free since it is under warranty, but that the labor would be $1500. When I was investigating which air conditioning company to install my unit, I contacted both Snell and Mannix. Mannix was slightly cheaper, but Snell offered a two-year labor warranty, which I did not know about until recently. My advice to you is to work with Snell or another company that can offer you an extended labor service.

They refused to fix it.When he showed it to me, it looked unsafe. He was nice and polite, but he should have just fixed it instead of arguing, because it only took him 2 minutes to fix.

It's a local company and I feel like I'm helping out most of the people. The kid Nevan, he's a charmer, really nice guy, very thorough and conscientious.
