+ -1 moreLewis Aquatech is amazing. We put an indoor pool in our home and we are so glad that we chose them to do it!! Joe Gwiz was attentive to all of our questions, and even took us to see a residential indoor pool that they had built for another customer. It was so nice to see, in person, something similar to what we were looking to build. It gave us confidence that they were the company for the job. The process was easy, and Joe really walked us through all of our selections. He got samples of everything so it was easy to commit! The construction of the pool was also easy. They worked around our construction with no issues, and were generally a joy to work with! Even the service people have been great! We couldn't be happier! The company really built a top notch pool for us that we enjoy all the time!

+ -1 moreDear David, We would like to thank you and all your staff for doing such an extraordinary job repairing the underground piping leak at our pool. After nearly 30 years of great service, something was bound to need repair. Valenti and his crew assessed the problem, planned the repair, and executed the fix flawlessly. They restored the disturbed grass area perfectly as well as the concrete deck area that had to be removed. I could not have asked for better service. Our pool has been the center of outdoor activity in the summer months for ourselves and our children since they were pre-teens. They are now in the forties with children of their own, and bring all the grandchildren to have a great time on hot summer days. We could not have made a better decision to get the pool back then, or a better selection of a pool contractor. Thanks again for such great service. __________________ Len and Lori Owsenek

+ -1 moreAgree with both of the other reviews. They built our pool and spa in 2006 and had to redo quite a bit of work. They were were very late. on schedule. The design, we have now discovered, was defective as we do not have adequate water movement which causes stagnant water to sit in about a fourth of our pool. We have had them maintain our pool but the service has been terrible. We ended up with a large mosquito larvae problem. Their service techs have overfilled, underfilled and forgotten to add chemicals. I can't recommend them for anything. Plus they are expensive.

Description of Work: Lewis Aquatech built my pool about 5 or 6 years ago. Was an average experience. Product ended up nice but was delayed several months later than promised opening, had to repour a alot of concrete on the decking and their electrician cut through my septic field which required repair and clean-up. Would rate that experience as a C since they eventually got everything right. We have been using them to maintain the pool since that time. Serivce has deteriorated markedly over last two years. Opened the pool this year for us in May and did a terrible job,. Basically all they did was take off cover and turn on the chlorine generator, filter and polaris and left. Did not add any chlorine to shock pool, did not backfluch filter or clean out polaris after running for a bit so both were totally clogged when I got home one and a half hours after they left. They also left the wet winter cover inside my workshop and damaged a couple of hundred dollars of finished lumber was building a cabinet from. Each year service has deteriorated. I would not recommend them. Also - wrote them a letter re the above and have had no response.

+ -1 moreWe chose Lewis Aquatech partly because of the 5 star reviews so we felt compelled to write a review. Our project consisted of pool, waterfall, outdoor kitchen, patio and covered area with fireplace. The project began Oct 09'. Extremely poor project management resulted in construction issues that had to be torn out and rebuilt, failed inspections, and major delays. In June 10' we hired a separate company to complete the project. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Glenwood,MD

+ -1 moreI welcome any of you to come see my pool before deciding to use Lewis Aquatech.
Description of Work: This was one of the worst experiences of my life and the pool (yes, 7 years later) is still ugly and an embarrassment. The coping stones were cut badly leaving very small pieces in several places. The surface was not prepared properly and the gunite work was poor. Ritchie was terrible. They knew there was an electric cable in the yard and cut it any way. They repaired it, but .. Also do the poor quality of work we terminated the contract after they had ruined most everything and I had to repair much of the torn up yard work myself. I had surgery while they were in the middle of the process and I was unable to brush the new gunite. They were the most inconsiderate company. I still need to get the work done, but am reluctant to make another very costly mistake again. Please consider using someone else.

+ -1 moreWe love them, and two of their workmen in particular that my husband specifically asks for whenever they come out. They are wonderful people who do their job well. The labor is much lesser than what I have seen at other places. Every time we call them, they?ve come right out, within a reasonable amount of time. The person who is one of their chief maintenance people is just super. They are reliable and very honest. Several times, when we thought that there was something major wrong, they?ve come out and said that it was a simple problem, where someone else would have said that we needed to replace something. They do the work in good timing.
Description of Work: I use Lewis Aquatech for pool maintenance. The last time they were here, they opened our pool and found a bunch of stuff that had to be done. After that, we heard some noises and we knew that some things were going to go. So they ordered them and then came back and installed a Hayward valve, a Hayward pump and a cleaner pump.

+ -1 moreThe finished product is really nice. But working with them was a major headache. Their customer service is terrible. They made appointments they couldn't keep and they show up without warning. Some things never got done correctly. When they hire new people they wouldn't supervise their subcontractors. I had to explain the same thing several times before they would really understand. It took a lot longer than expected.
Description of Work: They came out and installed our new pool. They also come out and clean it on a regular basis.

+ -1 moreLate and unresponsive in almost everything they did. From the appointment for the estimate to the actual work, this company never made it to my house when they told me they would be there. I'm not just talking hours late, but days. The tech didn't show for the initial estimate and after calling him, he claimed he "thought it was set for the next day." After signing a contract and setting the work schedule for Monday a few weeks later, they ended up not showing at all. Nor did they have the courtesy to call and inform me they wouldn't be coming. They promised me they'd be there the next day - they didn't show nor call. I called them again. On Wednesday the pool cleaners arrived, but not the tech to repair the coping and replace the cover. Long story short, they didn't show until Thursday and they demanded I pay them first before fixing the coping. At that point I fired them. Ended up paying $500 for a sub-par pool opening.
Description of Work: Hired the company to open pool for the season, replace a broken piece of coping and to replace the winter safety cover.

+ -1 moreThe appointment time period was between 8-10AM. At about 9AM the install crew arrived. They politely introduced themselves and I showed them the worksite. They promptly started work. They cut out the broken pump and started working on the install of the new pump. I asked about how long the install would be and they informed me about 45 minutes. Around 9:40AM they informed me that the work was complete. I went to the pool to inspect the work and the pump was working and the pool cleaner was doing its job. From a laymans perspective, the work looked thorough and complete. The job site had been cleaned and everything appeared to be in order. I ran the pump continuously for 2 days without issue. My pool is very clean and in general I am satisfied.
Description of Work: My pool cleaner booster pump broke and I needed to get it replaced. I purchased the replacement booster pump myself and needed someone to install it. I contacted Lewis Aquatech and set an appointment to get it installed. The wait time for the appointment was 2 weeks. Considering that this is the start of the pool opening season this was a reasonable wait.

+ -1 moreWE HAVE USED LEWIS AQUATECH FOR ALL OUR POOL SERVICE AND REPAIR NEEDS FOR 3 YEARS. THEY HAVE ALWAYS ARRIVED WHEN SCHEDULED, THE BILL MATCHES THE ESTIMATE AND THE WORK IS DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.
Description of Work: SPRING OPENING, CLEANING, STORE WINTER COVER, ADD CHEMICALS AND BALANCE SYSTEM. THEY ALSO DID A COMPLETE DRAIN AND ACID WASH BEFORE START UP, AS WELL AS REPLACED SOME BRICK COPING AROUND THE EDGE OF THE POOL.
