This was the first time I had used their services. It went very well. The estimate was very clear. I had gotten the estimate and was not able to use it until six months later and they stuck with the same estimate. They were punctual and started on time and finished earlier than they had thought. They answered all of my questions.

Basically workmen did the entire job in one day, which was phenomenal. They were very, very hard workers. Their cleanup was quite good and they were nice people to have working around your home. Even had one call back about a downspout that had gotten clogged from something, perhaps debris from roofing. They came and took care of this quite nicely. So far the roof looks great and seems to be holding up well. Time will be the test of that. The work was done is late spring, 2008. Met the owner at the Home Show Expo. Liked the local ownership of the company. Very happy with choice. Interviewed two other companies before making decision.

Received an estimate of reasonable amount. The rep was very nice and informative. Did not try to push things not needed. Crew showed up half hour earlier than expected. They performed their work professionally. Clean up was very good. Better than any other company I have dealt with. The crew did not put the gutter caps back on very well in a couple of spots. They were racing to complete the job before the rains started. Had to have someone else come back out to re-do the gutter caps. That took a week to get done because there was a communications gap between the rep I dealt with and the person who schedules the people who come out to fix things. Once they came out they did everything I asked. They also were very professional. Overall they did a good job.

Shortly after purchasing our home, we found that there was a roof leak caused by a nail hole which completely eroded a section of our roof. We solicited estimates from 3 different companies. We were most impressed by Katchmark. From start to finish, it was a smooth process. Matt, from sales, was punctual and professional. He did the most thorough inspection of the 3 companies, took digital pictures, and spent a lot of time reviewing our options to either fix or replace. We went with the conservative approach and replaced the roof (due to the many issues that were found). He provided a prompt estimate and honored a $500 coupon, which definitely helped out. Additionally, he was willing to negotiate a better price on some of the plywood roof boards and soffitt in the event we had to replace a lot (which luckily we only had 2 boards to replace. It only raised the price by $116 which was not bad compared to other stories I've read about roofing costs). It was about a week and a half from the time of the estimate to the time they replaced the roof, which was not very long compared to other companies. The roof crew were prompt, professional and extremely hard working. They did a great job cleaning up. The follow up from the Superintendent and Scheduler were appreciated as well. The roof and gutters look great and we are very pleased with the overall experience. I would highly recommend this company!

They were very nice the day they schedule it. They were very professional. I recommend them to my neighbor. They were the only one that we every used and we were very pleased.

Overall it was positive. I called for an inspection and estimate, a person came out in 2 business days. The inspector was excellent. He took pictures and used them to explain the recommended work. He said that I could have the work done that week if I was ready to commit. I discussed it with my spouse and committed the next day. I was disappointed that it was then 8 days before someone could come out to do the repairs. The workers were professional and the roof seems fine. Of course it's hard to evaluate roof work, but all the shingles are back on the roof.

Mr. Guzman came to my home to provide an estimate. He was very thorough and took quite some time to inspect the roof and write detailed notes. However, he never followed up by providing a written estimate as he said he would so I went with another provider.

The only problem I had with this company is that a variety of people showed up at different times, and so they had to be continually reminded what needed to be done for the project. I often had to call the home office to contact them and remind them what projects needed to be completed in what order. I suppose it may have had to do with the fact that the project was completed in 2 parts - gutters and roofing.

They did an excellent job. On time and schedule getting the job completed. Their prices were reasonable and comparative to other companies. There were a few shingles around the flashing that concerned us. They offered to come back out to put down a few more nails. They came right out to make the necessary repairs. This is the kind of company that really cares about keeping their customers happy. If you have any concerns they are willing to address them. They previously did our gutters about a year ago and did a nice job as well.

The estimate was three times higher than another roofer (also on Angie's List), so we declined. He also suggested that we might as well replace the entire roof, since it would need work in the next few years. The roofer we chose said the rest of the roof looked fine.

I was very pleased with Katchmark's responsiveness and the work they performed; however, the job ended up costing more than the original estimate. They responded promptly to my request for an estimate and the representative explained the roofing process and products very thoroughly. Katchmark kept me informed of the schedule, and they always kept their promises. Early on the first day of the job, the foreman recommended replacing all the plywood on the roof, which was unexpected because the estimator predicted they could work with the existing sheeting. Replacing the plywood added about $4800 to the cost, but it probably was worth it to get a better roof. The crew worked quickly and completed the roofing in two days; the gutters took an additional day. The excellent quality of the flashing and shingling work deserves special note; the crew was very skilled. They cleaned up all debris around the house, but they were not able to clean the unfinished attic.

Please see above. The project went nowhere because the company is clearly disorganized to the point of non-responsiveness.

The salesman, David Hill, came and appeared to thoroughly inspect the roof, which had been leaking for several months, despite another company's supposed attempts to stop the leak. He gave a very clear explanation of the work they proposed, including a venting system other companies had not proposed. Katchmark's proposal was very competitive with two others I received. The work was scheduled within two weeks. The installation appeared to go well and the roof is attractive. It has not rained since the installation, so I can only speculate that the new roof has resolved the leak.

They were great! They returned my call promptly and sent an estimator out within a week. They gave me addresses to look at to choose my shingle color. Since I had existing leaks they got me on the schedule fast. They came when they said they would. I knew that I had some damaged sheathing/slat decking, but didn't know how much. Unfortunately, the front of the house had been poorly re-roofed before I bought it and they needed to replace all the sheathing on the front to make an even base for the shingles. Brett consulted with me before proceeding. Because of this, the job took 2 days instead of one. (They gave me a bit of a break on the price, too. Appreciated that). They worked from dawn to dusk, non stop. Had a storm in the middle of the job, so they tarped the roof, went away for a couple hours and came back to finish, working until dark. Amazing crew. They cleaned up each day. Only found one stray fastener in the street.

The estimator had already put together the estimate when I got home to meet him. There was nothing on the estimate that stated where the gutters would be placed or how many feet of gutter they would be furnishing. I assumed that they would replace those gutters that were already there. Their gutter estimate came out nearly double what the other estimate was, but since I was doing roof and gutter and their estimate for the two was still lower than the competition, I went with Katchmark. Initially, they forgot to install the gutter tunnel. They came back promptly to fix, but also put in additional gutters where there were not currently any. There was some picture that I never saw that showed where gutters were to be put.That's why estimate was so high. I recommend that you ask to see the placement and layout of the gutter installation, or, at least know how many feet of gutter will go in. Roof job went more smoothly. Also ask to see sample of gutter, not just pictures.

I would have to say that I thought they were high on the price, but I did get a quality job done to my house. They were impeccable and precise. They had a large crew so it didn't take long at all. I felt all the workers were respectable and courteous toward my family.

I use this company all the time. I consider their price to be very fair. They come in when I call and check my water for free. They finished other projects for me on the past. They answer any questions I may have and overall great people.

They do really good roofing and gutter work. I recommend these guys because they have done really consistent good work for me. They have a really organized way of doing their job. Kim McCoy, my contact, is very friendly and very professional. I don't have exact pricing information, but they are fair priced.

The work was mediocre, not impressive. They rushed with the job and the windows were not top quality. They had a hard time with the sliding door and ended up stripping the screws on the door. So I had to replace all of the trim around the door when they were finished because they damaged it so badly. It was just an o.k. job and I won't use them again after my experience with them.

I think Katchmark Construction did an excellent job installing our new roof. They came within two weeks of our initial call, as soon as the materials came in. They repaired the roof in one day and returned the 2nd day to install the gutters and downspouts. I highly recommend them and I wish they did kitchens as well, since that is our next project.

I was very pleased with how they worked. They were always punctual, very reliable, cleaned up before they left, and they were also inexpensive. In fact, they charged me half as much as the other companies that I received estimates from wanted to charge.

They were honest and punctual. The work that he did was very good and he made sure it blended with the existing roof. He cleaned up after himself and was a pleasure to have at my home.

The did a great job from the sales people to the roofers. Very professional and done in a timely manner. Cleaned up after themselves.

The crews were here for about 6 days. There were a couple minor issues prior to scheduling, but those were resolved fairly simply. Once the work began a couple issues were raised by the supervisor, but the on-site crew resolved them without any problem. The area around the house looked like a war zone for a day and a half as they tore the old shingles off, but when you figured it was out of control the guys had it heading in the right direction pretty quickly.

In 2005 I had a new addition put on my home. The contractor quite after 2/3rd of the work done. The area between my original house roof and addition leaked twice and he alledged fixed the problem. What with all the ice, snow and rain this winter, the roof started leaking inside my kitchen/four season room area. Since the previous contractor was not available - out of business (even if I wanted him back which I didn't) I turned to Angies List and found Katchmark Construction Inc. I talked to Amber who was very helpful and scheduled a construction site manager to come give an estimate for the job. They were backed up with other households experiencing the same problem, but was able to get an appointment within a week. Scott Gulseth arrived giving a very detailed estimate of the situation and written estimate of the costs. He was very understanding about my plight and I agreed to have his company perform the work.
