We had good initial interactions with the IHI folks. We were pleased with their proposal and flexibility related to scheduling. They provided a clear estimate with the work they would do. The breakdown came as the work was being completed. To itemize the issues: - did not notice (or notify us) that our window was installed crooked by the Thompson Creek folks when they were installing the tile to the windowed wall. We noticed after they had tiled up to the window and left for the day. Window company fix could have caused all the tiles to come loose and break/fall. Luckily this did not happen, but still. - did not notice that they had installed the bathtub crooked. We noticed and had to call them out to fix it. The tub slanted toward the exterior wall by 10-15 degrees and thus did not drain. They had installed a number of rows of tiles already so the fix was to shove boards under the tub from the crawlspace - not providing a consistent level surface for the tub to rest on, against installation instructions, and not resulting in a level tub in the end - still trouble draining completely, but only a degree or so. - toilet leaked after installation. - sink leaked after installation. - Tiles were installed in the order they were taken out of the box, causing blocks of repeating tiles to be laid next to each other on the floor and on the tub surround. - Installing insulation in the exterior wall was an argument, even though it was listed on the proposal, the owner didn't want to do it. We insisted they perform the items on the proposal/contact. - when the shower valve was re plumbed, the faucet and valve were positioned too close together for them to have any space for the faucet and valve fittings. The fittings were rammed together and you can't even fit a piece of paper between them. In the end, the bathroom is fine, but it took a lot of effort to get it done.

Very well. The crew came on time and began and completed the job in one day. They left the place virtually as clean as it was before they arrived. Very professional crew.

Good price. Great preparation. Neat work. Responsive to requests . Left house neat every day,
I was extremely pleased with Innovative, from the office staff to the team that worked in my house. Gabriella has been a pleasure in the front office - patient and responsive. I had an initial onsight estimate, but then changed the scope of the job a couple of times, ultimately requiring an additional estimate. Alex, who came out both times, was excellent and thorough. He identified nail pops and other wall imperfections he said they would include as part of the job. I appreciated the flexibility and patience of the staff while I changed my mind and adjusted the scope. In the end, the job took four days to complete. They were extremely thorough and repaired countless nail pops - truly countless and I think significantly more than expected. There was no complaining or attempting to change the estimate for the additional repair work. I had ripped out chair railing and they repaired and replastered the wall to get an even surface. I have a double height ceiling and there was no problem with that, and the detail work with the trim was excellent. The team that was at my house arrived on time and worked tirelessly until the end of the day. They were always professional and polite, often checking with me to make sure they have the job/colors correct. The final product is fantastic and looks beautiful. I would highly recommend Innovative - and in fact have several times already.

Tom came over to our home, took measurements, and asked us what type of door we wanted as a replacement. On the day the work was performed, he brought us the perfect door. We could not have picked it better! The installation went smoothly. As he was finishing, I noticed that he was cutting a board to serve as the front face between the porch and the threshold. The board did not look wide enough, and I asked him why he just did not cut down a 1" X 10" and cut to size. He realized what I was asking, and explained that if he used a 1X10, the threshold would overhang the face board and eventually work lose. Tom had cut a piece of brick molding to fit precisely between the Face board and the threshold. The fit was perfect. Even though the door has been installed for a year, there is still no movement. The door still looks great. Tom asked us if we wanted a storm door, and we answered to the affirmative. He also installed a beautiful storm door that still looks great. I would certainly contract him again.

I left 3 messages asking to be called about getting an estimate for additional work done before purchasing their "Big deal" online. No one ever called back. I wouldn't waste my time attempting to use this company in the future.

Excellent. Tom and two other men on his team worked from 7:30am to 12:30pm on this task. The widening of the opening was a major task, but they did a superb job. They replaced a number of the struts that were inside of the wall. They took great care when installing the patio door itself, carrying out all of the necessary caulking and sealing.
Description of Work: Furnish and install an Anderson 200 narrowline sliding patio door. Installation included: Removal and disposal of existing patio door, expanding opening 12", to include new header and studs to meet local building code requirements.
