I had a great experience with HuberWilmont Moving. They are fast and efficient. I definitely recommend using their services.

Bottom Line Up Front: DO NOT HIRE unless you insist on an in-person consultation AND a receive "not to exceed" estimate on your contract. Even then, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Otherwise, you will pay way more than you expect, and then the company will either offer an insulting settlement to try and make you go away or ignore you entirely. My experience was similar to the other 1-star reviews I read. Was offered a quote of $4100-$4300 after receiving a virtual estimate. After the final billing the total cost of the move came to just under $6500, about 50% more than what was quoted. True to the owner's MANY responses to complaints in other reviews, their quote is "non-binding". However, when I called the next day to simply ask about the charges, the rep we dealt with said she thought the costs were high and was looking into it. From her own words, she told me the cost shouldn't exceed the estimate by more than 10-15% and that she was working with the owner to "make it right". The rep and I spoke three times over a two-week period just to touch base and keep communication open. During one of those calls, she informed me they'd already decided to refund $706 in materials costs (which she later denied saying), so remaining settlement would be in addition to that. Then came the final settlement offer...$362 along with a letter I would have to sign promising to remove any negative social media posts. When I contacted the rep and asked if this was a mistake, I was told that was all she was able to get the owner to agree to. This was after the rep had spent the prior two weeks leading me to believe something different. FWIW - no basis for that $362 amount was given as far as I could tell, almost as if it was pulled out of the air. My counter to the settlement offer was the $362 they offered plus the $706 the rep had already led me to believe would be refunded, for a total of $1,068. Even if they'd agreed to that, my final costs would still have exceeded the original estimate by 25%. The owner - Eric Wilmot - replied to my counter with the following dismissal: "Michael: The settlement offer that was provided to you is non-negotiable. It is in conjunction with the contractual terms of the service. We are sorry you did not accept. All the best. Eric R. Wilmot | CMC, COIC "Moving & Storage Advocate"" I'm sorry I ever did business with this company. PLEASE do yourself a favor and look to a stronger brand (JK Moving, Atlas, etc.). To be fair - the crew worked hard and overall did a good job. However, HW's business end is VERY disingenuous when it comes to the sales and settlement process.

For context, I have moved 10 times in the past 21 years and I have had to work with most major moving companies on the market. Huber-Wilmot blow all of them out of the water. What I've seen over the years: Most moving companies subcontract down to a carrier who may or may not own their own truck. They rarely own their own crew. Typically they have a rolodex of part time workers that they call on when they have a job nearby. As a result, neither the packers nor the movers have any accountability, and the people that you're working with are not actual employees of the company you think is moving you. What Huber-Wilmot did differently: For starters, every worker that touched our household goods were full time employees of Huber-Wilmot. They showed up on time every day of the job, wearing matching uniforms, and conducted themselves with a professionalism that I am not used to seeing. From the moment they arrived on packout day, the foreman stepped to the side and his team began rolling out floor and carpet protecting runners before anyone stepped foot into the house. They labeled each room so that our stuff could be returned to the right spot when they moved it back. Upon return they restored all the furniture to the same place they found it. These may seem like minor things, but I assure you that you don't get anything close to this kind of service from other moving companies. If you want a company to respect your property as if it was their own, go with Huber-Wilmot.

They were great! On time, very responsive, and very careful. Best of all, they were the lowest price by far and charged only what they originally estimated. I liked not having the uncertainty of "depends on how much everything weighs" affect the final cost.

The movers were incredibly professional, they were kind, very careful with our belongings, they communicate it extremely well. I have recommended them to several of my clients and 100% when use them again.

I was very impressed by this company. When the representative came over to assess the amount of items to be moved and to discuss the move and costs he was very upfront with what he said. There were no hidden costs. On the day of the move the team showed up early and went right to work after we discussed what I was looking to have them do. I was also surprised that they offered to take any items I had to be donated. On the day that my items were to be taken to my new residence the team again showed up early and placed my items where I wanted them. Nothing arrived damaged. I would recommend them without hesitation.

HuberWilmot are CROOKS and SCAMMERS!!! What was supposed to be a 3-to-4-hour job turned into a 12-hour job. They sent workers over and wasted time goofing off and milking the time to scam me out of money. Then they lost some of my furniture, broke my laser printer, brook a leg off of my dresser, cut a hole in my mattress, put a big gash in the wall of my new apartment and damaged several other things. Then charged me nearly $2000 when they quoted me $580. The owner Eric Wilmot and Renee Brimberg are rude, unprofessional and uncooperative towards me and offered only $200 to cover all the damages they caused. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!!!!

We needed to have our townhouse packed and our belongings moved to storage while we wait for our new home construction to be completed. The team from HuberWilmot (Richard, Jason and Odalis) did a fantastic job with our packing and move. Moving is never easy but they were very helpful and kind throughout the two day process which made everything much more pleasant.

Both Isreal and Jonathan showed up on time and did a good job. They wrapped everything so there was no chance for damage. They made me feel very comfortable with the way they were handing my things. I would definitely recommend them.

Best moving experience I have ever had. The team was so professional, courteous and very well skilled. We were moving to a location with a very narrow process and HuberWilmot found a way to make it work! Our total price came in as expected as well. Would highly recommend HuberWilmot and will definitely use them for any future moves.

Escobar and Henry helped and both deserve 5 stars!! They called ahead of time to tell me when they would arrive. They were very polite and explained to my mildly disabled son what they were done so he would be calm. They helped arrange furniture. They didn't leave until the made sure everything was up to my specifications.

They were awesome! Also, it took a little longer for them to complete the job but they were fine.

My husband became sick and I had one day to move the rest of our stuff out of our old home. I called Eric and he made it happen! They were punctual and hard working!

Huber Wilmot's crew did a great job for us. Ours was an in-state move, billed hourly and the crew moved like lightning! They protected our furniture and our homes well and cleaned up everything as they left. Couldn't have asked for an easier move.

We had a fantastic experience with HuberWilmot. They are a new company, but the owners have many years of experience in the moving industry, and it shows. Mr. Wilmot was very knowledgable and provided clear information at the outset to help us make our decision and answer any questions we had in the lead-up to the move. The price they quoted was very fair, and the best part was that it was a firm price. We really wanted to avoid the bait-and-switch situations we read about in researching our move, and the price we were quoted was what we paid with HuberWilmot. We evaluated several competing movers before making our decision, and the level of service and responsiveness really set HuberWilmot apart from the other companies. The move itself went very smoothly. We were moving from Washington DC to Minneapolis, and we had HuberWilmot pack our fragile items and do the loading/transport/unloading. Mr. Huber personally oversaw the moving process, and his employees were very professional, careful, and quick in doing their work. Our goods arrived intact, and the turnaround time was very impressive. Comparable moving quotes we got involved several weeks of transport and routing/storage, while HuberWilmot loaded up their own truck and drove it right to our new house, and we had our household goods delivered just 2-3 days after they were picked up. Their price was comparable to the companies that take weeks to deliver, but the price was about half what we saw for companies with similar delivery timelines. I would definitely use HuberWilmot again, and I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a mover in he DMV. Moving to a new house, especially one 1100 miles away, can be such a stressful undertaking, and having someone competent and trustworthy take on the heavy lifting is an enormous relief. You're in good hands if you go with HuberWilmot.

They arrived on time and were very professional and worked quickly while taking care of our furniture. Eric (Manager) was in contact with us to make sure everything was going smoothly. We very much appreciated that level of customer service. We had a couple of scratches on the floor. Eric sent people out the next day to get it resolved. They took care of it to our satisfaction. Eric then followed up to make sure we were happy. We’d definitely use them again and recommend to others. Their customer service is excellent.

The three men were wonderful friendly worked very hard and I would hire them again in a minute. Arranging for the move was also very smooth with management.
