These guys are top notch. I spoke with Steve (owner) by phone in the morning and told him we needed a repair on a botched garage door opener installation (not their work) ASAP. Steve had a repair tech (Joel) at my house that day within hours. Joel finished the job (which was extensive) within two hours. He pointed out other problems with the garage door track that we would not have known of otherwise and repaired that too. The cost of the job was very reasonable and we now have a fully operational automatic garage door opener. Just wish we had gone with them first. A tip for home owners having a garage door opener installed: this is NOT a job for a jack-of-all-trades. Get a professional certified tech to do the work and save yourself money and time. If you live in the DC metro area, I could not more highly recommend G&S Garage Doors. Very professional, very helpful and friendly, and clearly committed to getting the job done right.

I requested the services mid-day and was pleasantly surprised to hear Steve tell me he would meet me that evening. He was prompt, courteous, and professional. I will be hiring him to return in the Spring to make a more major repair to the garage door track and spring system. Definitely a great find on Home Advisor.

Great company, great service, great pricing. The spring broke on our residence garage door. Steve fixed it, identified and addressed other issues, and tuned up operation of the opener for less than we have paid previously from another vendor to replace just a broken at our rental property. Definitely go with G&S!

I have been dealing with multiple contractors and repair services for the past 6 months. G&S was, by far, the most prompt, courteous, and skilled of all of them. I prefer to do a lot of my own repairs and considered doing the door spring and cable replacement as well. I'm glad I didn't. I will call these guys again in a heartbeat for going the extra mile. Was running late due to previous job some distance away but Steve did call and tell me he was going to be late. Knowledgeable and efficient, did not rush to complete the job, very thorough. Pleasant demeanor and very professional.
