Let me start this way...things had gone so badly that a friend, who is a long-time Fireman, was asked to stop in and look at their work during installation. In my presence and my daughter's he immediately told them that he would report them to the authorities if they did not re-do the way that they had installed the stove. They had taken short-cuts that did not meet fire codes ...obviously hoping that we would not know the difference. This is the entire story- My daughter asked me to help her with a design for a new kitchen. We met with this contractor, who had been recommended by a friend of hers. When we arrived at the showroom on a Saturday morning the door was locked. The salesperson unlocked the door and we were immediately met by a large dog who began jumping ON us. I have always had dogs and I am dog Lover! I would never allow my dog to jump ON clients in a Professional showroom while they are trying to make decisions...expensive ones. Eventually, we were asked to go to the salesperson's office to discuss our wants and needs. The salesperson, Frank, seemed quite UNinformed. As one example, after he completed his suggestions, I said "what about a back splash?". "OH, Yea", said Frank. His lack of attention to detail continued throughout our discussions; throughout the planning; and throughout the installation. My thought was that I knew more than he did and he was supposed to be the expert. The one that referred my daughter also had problems.and was sorry he made the referral. I was in the RE business for 30 years and I have experienced many remodeling jobs. I have Never experienced such poor ethics and quality of service.

They were totally helpful and engaged at all stages. They spent a lot of time and effort working with me on the design, color and finish to guarantee that all my unusual design elements and vision for my kitchen are met. Once construction started, they were on time, committed and did not cut corners. What I appreciate the most about them is that they take a lot of pride in their work.

Our own contractor backed out of doing our countertops when we chose a product not available at their usual source. Fratelli was able to order the granite we wanted from an outside source and fabricated and installed the granite themselves. They went out of their way to see that we got the product we wanted. They were professional and very easy to work with. Although we only used them for the countertop, I would suspect that their kitchen remodeling is also excellent.

They told us they had their own people, but ended up sub-contracting it out. The sub-contractor?s didn?t know what they were doing. They threw in extra charges for their mistakes, nickeled and dimed for every little things. Ended up taking about 3 months when they said it would only take a few weeks.
