"Elegant Floors" has been providing its services for over two decades as a floor covering sales/service provider under Alex Flooring, Inc. in the entire Northern VA, MD, and DC.
We have lists of clients that have been following us for the past 20 years. We have been growing steadily even during this sluggish economy that we all know.
This stead growth of our business has a set of great reasons. To name a few;
1. GREAT PRICE - we do not overcharge any of our clients. We have not lost any price competition for an apple-to-apple comparison, even against Lowes & Home Depot.
2. FAST SCHEDULING - Because we do all work by in-house crew, not sub-contractors like many other flooring companies, we control our work-flow and installation scheduling. We schedule work for SAT & SUN as well, just about every weekend we work. Some restaurant and retail business places like shopping malls, we work during the evening hours after our clients' business closing hours so that they can open in the morning with brand new floors.
3. PROFESSIONALISM & HONESTY TOGETHER
All our employees have been working for us for the past 15 years or longer, as most of our past and the current clients seem to know all our employees when they come back to us for more work. There have been numerous occasions where our employees found valuables like money, rings (even diamond rings), and other small but precious items to our clients, while they are working on their floors. We've experienced some Kodak Moments where our clients were in tears of joy for finding their valuables like wedding diamond rings, grandma's heirlooms etc. Those were usually stuck under the couches, and odd places where our clients never thought of searching there.
We run a service oriented business, not a hotdog stand like business. We respect our clients home, a house that their lives are made of. Thus, we make sure that your house gets the respect even you are not home, while we are working on your floor covering. We have many clients with repeat business that even prepare lunches for our crew because they know that they can trust us and want to be good to our working crew as well.
Every job we finish, it will be vacuumed, broom cleaned, and dusted off the area we worked on. So, it minimize your clean up after the job completion.
4. SERVICE AFTER THE COMPLETION OF WORK
There have been some cases where our clients realized that they make scratches, etc. after the job was completed. We didn't mind going back out there to repair our client's mistake at no cost usually unless there were a substantial amount of repair that will take to get it right.
There are hardly ever a "scratching head" as to what, where, how, and who made the mistake when it comes to taking care of our clients after the installation completion. We are the one wanting to get it right. Because the beautiful floor work is our face, reputation and all other things that comes with it.
5. REFERENCES
We compile all our client list up-to-date and can open it for our careful customers wanting check our references. We don't need to select the good references from not-so-good references. It is because our clients are always right. We open our books of references to our new clients. All of our clients are good clients whether they were happy or not-so-happy. There is no business in service industry, in our opinion, that can satisfy 100% of their customers 100% of times. Mostly, the unsatisfied client comes from having different expectations or changed expectations of the job outcome. Nevertheless, we make our clients happy. And, they remember us how much we try to work with them. Yes, we can show you all references, about over 2,000 happy clients.
6. INSURANCE, LICENSES & FEES
We maintain a double coverage on our insurance just to make sure that we cover our business, and our clients. We maintain all necessary legal filings up-to-date without lapsing even one day. Of course, we never had to claim anything to our insurance initiated by our clients. All fees, taxes and dues to the regulatory bodies of our governments are paid on time, up-to-date with no overdue.
7. ALL NEW MATERIALS ONLY, NO LEFT OVER MATERIALS
We order new materials for job each time. We do not use old left-over materials from old clients order. Every material has to maintain freshness from the manufacturers in order to last longer, and more importantly the MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY. Old materials (left-over) may not be covered under the manufacturer's warranty although you may not know. We cover labor warranty ourselves. But, the material warranty must be covered by the manufacturers, with Elegant's purchase proof at the time of your job. If we cannot produce the new material purchase invoice, your material may only be covered for the remainder of the material purchase date, the old date. Thus, it is important for us to keep our purchase record for your specific job.
