Custom floor did a great job. They even removed and reset the toilet in the powder room. Other companies want us to hire an outside contractor to do it. We had a few discrepancies that they fixed as soon as they were pointed out. Can't say enough about the customer service of this company. Oh, and their bid was the cheapest of the five proposals we received.

Peter and his crew are great... the process for replacing the carpets and kitchen floor was stress-free from the time of estimate to choosing materials to installation... estimates were competitive to other companies... the shop has a wide selection of carpets and tiles... the crew is on time, professional, skilled, and efficient... we absolutely recommend them for carpet/tile replacement...

Overall it went well. Three floors to the townhouse, ground floor had 50% of total floorspace with carpet installed, second floor had 60% of total floor space with hardwood installed, third floor and stairs had 90% of floor space with carpet installed. Total carpet installed was approximately 1300 sq. ft. and 370 sq. ft. of hardwood installed. Cost per sq. ft. for carpet we choose with materials, removal old and install was about $4.84 per sq. ft. and hardwood was $6.64 for complete job of removal of old carpet, materials and installation. Only problem, installers drilled through ceiling with 5 screws when installing carpet on 2nd floor stairs. Custom Floors repaired unintended damage beautifully without question or cost. The job took two days and a half day for unintended repairs.

We visited the showroom and were given a detailed run down of all the products available with great advice on selecting the right one. A few days later, Dave came to the house to measure and provide an estimate. Price was great. I would have liked some more numbers on the offer, but all it had was total for hardwood; total for LVT; total and breakdown of payments for the whole job. To be honest, I kept looking for reasons not to accept what looked like a low ball offer, but could find none, so I accepted it. When the wrong hardwood was delivered, they offered to replace it or give a discount. Essentially same product, so I took the discount. Crew arrived a little early on installation day. Two days later we had great looking floors. Minor communication issues - I'm hard of hearing anyway. Payments were 1/3 deposit, 1/3 on wood delivery, balance on completion. Trim installation was a highlight. Mitered returns were done to near perfection. Wood was stained or painted to match. Overall, 4 different colors. Only real "issue" was damage to some of our appliances when they were moved. Apparently not something they felt responsible for by the reaction I received when I complained. Power stretching was done by one person with a two foot long stretcher. I was expecting more manpower or tool power, but I was given a 6 month warranty on the work if it doesn't remain taut. I would have preferred more "power," but the carpet looked great. This part of the job involved coordinating the stretching with moving a pool table and then re-leveling the table. The floor crew, pooltableguy, and carpet stretching "crew" worked it all out for a great job. All in all, much relieved that the job went well and we have great looking floors.

The team from Custom Floor did a good job from start to finish. The estimate was the best around and the product I got was better than the other companies I received estimates from. This is the third time I have used Custom Floor since purchasing my home. Every time they had the best prices and their installation team does a good job. I am happy to be a repeat customer and will gladly use them again for my next home flooring project.

From the first visit to the house for sample review and consultation until the final installation and cleanup, Custom Floor was engaging, helpful, and professional throughout. The consultation team laid out logical, helpful replacement options regarding cost, type of carpet, and installation timeline. The installation team, augmented with additional workers to move significant amounts of furniture, took two days to install. All the installers were polite, prompt, efficient, and flexible when responding to any changes as the job went along. Estimator arrived on time. Told us there is a $500 minimum purchase. We only needed carpet redone in one bedroom to help with my child's allergies. Estimator recommended we re-carpet our stairs or another bedroom, which would have pushed us way over budget. We decided to select a higher grade carpet for my child's bedroom instead. We asked if after they pulled the old carpet up if they could secure the subfloor with screws in one area to eliminate some creaks and squeaks. Estimator said no problem and wrote it down on the estimate sheet. Not sure if we were given other payment options (like 50/50) but my wife did pay in full in order to secure a date for installation. Installers arrived 30 minutes early than expected, which had a negative impact on our family schedule but we adjusted accordingly. The installers kindly helped us move a chair out of the room. They seemed to be in a rush and somewhat careless moving tools and materials into the house. I had asked them to please be careful of newly painted walls/ceiling in stairwell. After old carpet was pulled up I reminded them about the request to secure the subfloor with screws. Installer said he didn't have any screws. I went into the garage and found some wood screws that would work. I asked installer if he had a drill or if he prefer that I do it instead. He said he had a drill and would take care of it. I should have done it myself as clearly this guy didn't know how to use his drill. Not a single screw went in straight, he kept stripping his drill bit, and on top of that he was using a hammer to pound the poorly installed screws into the floor! This resulted in a nasty drywall nail pop on the dining room ceiling below the bedroom that was getting carpeted that now requires joint compound, sanding and paint to repair. And the shock waves from the hammer pounding through the floor joists caused two out of three kitchen pendant kapton light bulbs to blow out. They also broke the bedroom door solid door stop, which damaged the baseboard trim also. Again, it seemed like the installers were in a rush and were somewhat careless. The new carpet installation does look good. No wrinkles or anything like that. It would have been nice if the installer showed us a manufacturer label or something that indicated we actually got the "premium" carpet we were paying for instead of a generic. I'm not a good judge of carpet quality just by looking at it but it seems fine. Time will tell. I'd probably try a different flooring company next time as icustomfloor installers seemed average at best.

Custom Floor came out to install hardwood and carpet for my home. I gotta say, they were awesome! Price was lowest out of 4 other estimates I've received including Home depot and Empire, and the service / quality of their workmanship was outstanding! I would definitely recommend them to my friends and relatives.

We had them several years ago to do hardwood floors and they were excellent, the work was good and they were reasonable. Since then, they try to expand and we didn't have a good experience with the kitchen renovation part. We were not happy with the granite at all, it looked like it hadn't been sealed properly and there were things in places that we didn't expect them. They would send somebody to try to fix the problem but it really didn't. I'm not going to change it again but I'll never be satisfied with that job. The kitchen floor was okay but I wouldn't have them do any other work.

It was a great experience. We had been to Lowes and decided to get one more quote. Saw the ad for Custom Floors in an ad magazine mailer that comes monthly. We visited the show room and saw the products. Peter Lee worked with us and came that same afternoon to our home to measure. We placed the order and the installation took place within 7 days. The crew that did the work was very professional. They arrived on the date we had specified bright and early and went to work. They were done by 1:30 that afternoon. Prior to completing the job, Peter Lee visited our house to inspect the workmanship for himself and make sure we were pleased. I would highly recommend Custom Floors to friends for carpeting and will most likely seek their services again when we refinish some hardwood floors.

Went well except for minor delays. They took extra care to avoid dust and dirt spreading beyond the construction site to other parts of the condo. Always cleaned up at end of each day and project overall. Contractor was very knowledgeable about the project requirements and did an overall outstanding job on the actual construction work. The Project Manager, Benny, stayed in touch throughout the project and kept me posted on the progress, cause of delays and estimated completion times. One major delay occurred beyond control on contractor as specific part was on back order. Highly recommend them for bathroom remodeling and title work of any type including art glass tiles. Contractor made several cost-cutting suggestions and estimate was right on the mark. No cost overruns.

The whole process from start to finish was great. They were very helpful picking out the wood brands and color and helped to match the living and dining area with the enty way that had been some years earlier. the installer was meticulous, but quick. No mess was left behind, and they treated our house with respect. We had the hard wood done first, and were so happy with the work that we had the family room done 2 months later.

Excellent service, very professional work. Not the lowest bid I received, but very competitive. Having had some work done before that needed to re-done, price was not my only concern but I did want a competitive rate. Peter Lee (the owner) inspired confidence with his professionalism and knowledge of flooring. The installation was very well done and the original estimate was what I paid. I would recommend this company.

Work took a long time to schedule, there were some issues on which tile to order and use. Then the installers showed up an hour late. The removed the old tile in 1.5 hours, put down the new glue and then went to lunch. After an hour the laid the new tile. Took them 7 hours for the job. The asked not to put any cars in the garage for 24 hours so the glue could dry. We waited 3 days just ti be sure. As soon as we drove a car in the garage, some of the tile came off, other tiles shifted. The tile on the stairs was not flush to the wall. None of the edges were calked. I talked to Benny, their sales manager about repairing the sections which came loose and he sent out the installer, although it did take a week. The installed fixed the stair segment and one of the floor segments. he did not caulk the entire floor edging. I again waited 3 days to drive on it, but as soon as I did, the sections popped up again and the other sections continue to move. I called Benny back and he said he would order a different glue. That was 2 weeks ago. No one called us back or responded to the floor repair. Benny told us that he would guarantee the work for 1 year and after only 1 month, the job is still not to our satisfaction and the tiles are breaking.

We had lots of furniture and a full closet and took the time to relocate as much of our personal items as possible. That eliminated many of the possible concerns and started the project off right when they realized only a few pieces of furniture would have to be moved.

The experience was very pleasant.? We visited the design/showroom, spoke with an associate and picked out the carpet suitable for the area being carpeted.? We had Custom Floor measure and provide an estimate.?We had previously gotten an estimate for the same area-which we decided was too high.? So we decided to shop around.? Once we found what we felt was suitable we went back to the original installer and his quote was still $1,000 higher than Custom Floor for the same carpeting.? We contacted Custom Floor and had them perform the install.? They did an excellent job!? The installers came in wasted no time.? We love the carpet and would highly recommend this group.
