When discussing the job Mike gave me options and let me choose what I wanted to do. He never tried to sell me something I did not want. Not only did his crew do an outstanding job, but Mike solved a gutter problem I had for years. I would highly recommend commonwealth roofing to anyone!

Workers arrived at the agreed upon time. They were professional and knowledgeable. Project manager made inspections during the work and provided guidance. It was obvious that all of them knew their profession. Carried away all debris and left a very clean work site. I'm very pleased with all aspects of their work.

We are very pleased with Commonwealth's price, punctual service and professionalism. The owner Mike Fontaine was very dedicated to providing service and a price that we would be pleased with. He was on time for our two meetings in advance, got our house on his schedule immediately and somehow managed to do the entire roof in one day, as promised. His crew was extremely capable and professional, not a leftover scrap anywhere after their work. We had done a lot of research to find the best roofers in our area and interviewed two other companies before choosing this one. We would choose this company again and recommend it to our friends without hesitation.

Mike was on time for the estimate, gave us lots of opinions and very polite. The crew came on time a week later. They did the roof in one day and the gutters the next. They did a nice job and left the yard and driveway very clean.

He was very responsive; I know he was going on vacation and he fit me in because I had an active leak. He fit me in within three days - I think he came out on a Monday and did the work on a Wednesday. He was pretty thorough looking at things and he went up in my attic; he didn't just stand up on the ladder to look in the crawl space. He went up in my attic and looked around. I had two spots on my ceiling and I told him what one other person said about one of the spots and he went up and looked. I had some exhaust fans put in my two upstairs bathrooms that vented through the roof up into the attic, and he looked at those installations because one of the guys said that I had a leak around one of them and that was why I was getting that spot there and dripping off the vent. And he said that they looked well installed and said there may be some condensation that's going on, but that he would make sure (the other guy said that there was probably a leak on the roof and it was dripping down that exhaust pipe and dripping down on the ceiling) to caulk that which he did. He was the first one out of five that said I don't need a new roof or all new plywood; he said he went up there and jumped on it and that it was fine. He said my plywood is fine and that I've got five to seven years on my roof. He said that he can repair the roof without replacing that piece of plywood. So he went up there with some two by fours and did a repair inside and re-caulked outside. I checked my attic when we had a huge rain and it was fine. The area that had been leaking is dry now and it looks great. It didn't take him long to do it either; it took him about an hour. I was just grateful for the peace of mind. He was very enthusiastic and he was very clear about what he knew, he explained things in a way that I could understand and I appreciated that.

They did great!! They were quick with their estimates and start of work and even handled negotiations with the insurance company when estimates needed to be revised. EVERYTHING was done to our satisfacation.

I called Mike Fontaine about coming by and providing an estimate on new gutters. I expected the typical appointment several days later. Instead, Mike went by the house while I was at work, looked at the situation and then met me at my home at 6 pm to review his proposal and discuss the project the same day. When we decided to proceed with Commonwealth Roofing & Siding to replace the gutters, Mike was very flexible in coming back to the house for the contract and deposit. At that time, Mike told us that he had 1 job ahead of us and depending on the weather (June 2013 has been very wet) his crew should be able to get to the job within the next week or two. That was Saturday, on Monday Mike confirmed that his crew should be able to complete the project on Wednesday. Wednesday morning the crew arrived early and got started. They answered my husband's questions about the project before he left for work. The crew had completed the job by 2 pm. When I arrived home that evening, the job was completed, the property was clean, and I am thrilled. I could not have expected a better experience.

We were very happy and relieved to have the emergency work done so quickly on the day of the storm. They also removed the tree itself and chopped it up and piled the wood to come pick it up after the storm. The weather cleared up in a couple of days, and they even came out a weekend to remove the wood. When going over the different options for materials, the owner, Mike, was very patient in explaining all of our options. The overall cost of the project was comparable to what was offered by the other contractor suggested by our insurance provider. On the day we had the roof replaced, they arrived on time and completed the job as expected in one day. There was one mishap when someone accidentally put a hole in the ceiling of one of the bedrooms. However, Mike was very responsive and assured it that it would be fixed. He sent a contractor out within a few days, and it was repaired good as new as promised. The new roof looks great. Getting up and walking around on it, I can definitely tell how much firmer it is since we had the underlying plywood replaced.
