Great. Someone actually showed up, unlike the three other companies I called. The estimate was reasonable and there were several options for service. The work was done earlier than promised and the crew was professional and clean.

They came the day I wanted them to come. They did the work while I was away (how many companies make you wait at the house all day) and left an invoice. They take credit cards. They gave me a discount because of Angies List.

They schedule visits by area, so I had to choose between a Thursday and a Saturday for service. Once I decided which day I wanted, they arrived in the afternoon on the scheduled day, and were very efficient and very responsible while providing the service. There was little if any spill of the sealant outside of the driveway and it was marked at the end with yellow tape for the 48 hours required to cure the driveway.

The service was excellent. The service man knew my neighborhood and gave me a price over the phone. The work was done by the time I got home from work. I recommend this company very highly.

Collegiate Sealers (CS) offered to do the entire job for a reasonable price ($470) and the job was done on a Friday. The driveways and the pipestem look fine but CS got some tar on the concrete threshold of my garage and also on the garage door. Not a large amount, but noticeable. At one of my neighbor?s, CS got a lot of tar on the threshold of the garage and there were numerous tarry footprints on the flagstone walk leading up to his front door, where they put the bill. I called the next day to request a clean-up and an employee named Thomas said that they would have someone contact me within 3-5 days. The following Tuesday an employee named Dan called and I described the situation at the two houses where tar cleanup was requested. Regarding my house, he said the concrete could be power washed but suggested that I paint over the tar stains on the door, which I agreed to do. He said someone would come out to do the powerwash but didn?t say when. A man came the following Saturday but I was out of town. He went to my neighbor?s and cleaned up the tarry footprints etc., but didn?t do the cleanup at my house. I called CS the following Monday to let them know that tar clean-up was still needed at my place and they said they would send someone out, but it has been a month and the cleanup has not been done. It?s unfortunate that I was out of town when the clean-up man came to my neighbor?s, but CS didn?t say when he would be coming. It would have been better if they hadn?t made the mess in the first place. I?m surprised that CS doesn?t take simple precautions when working in close to someone?s house. And, walking from a freshly tarred surface onto someone?s walkway is just plain sloppy.

Collegiate Sealers was able to quote me a price over the phone. It was cost competitive and they accepted the Angie's List coupon after quoting me the price for my driveway. I appreciated knowing ahead of time that, due to the cooler temperatures, I shouldn't use the driveway for 48 hours rather than the usual 24 hours. I left a check in the door and went to work. When I came home, the driveway was taped off and looked great. We'll be using them again.

This was easy. I called. By my address he was able to calculate an estimate. I asked him to apply the 10% coupon that was on his Angies List page, which he did. They came out on time and completed the job in about 20 minutes. It looks good.

Work was done quick, on schedule, and no mess.

Showed up on time, did work exactly as promised. We would highly recommend.

I have used Collegiate approximately 6 to 8 times in the past. Their work has always been above average and done to their estimate. I skipped a few years awaiting new asphalting and then used the asphalt contractor for oil-based sealing one time as it was his recommendation to do so. I went back to latex sealant in 2009as it is less than half the price of oil-based. Collegiate sent me several post card estimates marked $210 for my address. I arranged an appointment and cleared four automobiles, eight planter barrels, numerous other obstacles, and pre-cleaned my driveway as blowing is not always effective in removing all small debris. They arrived and announced that they had made a mistake and my estimate was now $460. They ignored all the many years of coming to my address and walking it off by foot and now relied on satellite imagery and misread it. I was literally over a barrel after all my preparations in anticipation of a large gathering and reluctantly told them to proceed and I would discuss with the owner. Subsequent discussions with the owner were to the effect that I should have known better than to expect my driveway to be done for $210; now $460 was the price. So sorry. So I can only say that the quality was acceptably above average and I was bamboozled on price. I am normally more careful and would not have accepted estimate switching except due to uncontrollable circumstances. I can't say don't use them; I do say I hope you are one of the luckier ones on getting the work done as estimated.

Collegiate's estimate for the latex/coal tar sealer they use was substantially less than the estimate from another Angie's List A-rated company for the asphalt-based sealer. As best I can tell from web research, the latex sealer is as least as good as, and generally better than, asphalt-based sealer. I made the appointment for sealing long in advance and when I called a few days ahead of time to confirm, they had it on their schedule. I also called back a couple of times about some prep work I was doing, and they were very helpful. They showed up on time, did what looks like a very good, thorough job, and finished quickly. The proof of the pudding, of course, is whether it lasts, but so far so good.

Great. I was not home when they sealed my driveway which was fine. They left me a note and payment envelope and roped off my driveway. After 24 hours, I was able to park on my driveway again. I did notice that the crack sealant came up a bit in a heavy rain which occurred the evening after my driveway was sealed, but this was not unexpected due to the extremely heavy nature of the rain (a severe storm). I wish that they had burned out (with a torch) or otherwise removed the grass/weeds from a few cracks before sealing, as it would have made the crack sealing product last longer. Overall, I am very satisfied and feel I got my money's worth.

I have always been satisfied with their service. They have reasonable prices and the product that they use is very good. It is very easy to call and schedule the service. I like that I do not have to be home when they come out, instead I can leave a check in the door or mailbox. They come out do the service and take the check. I have been very pleased.

They did a great job. They were on time. They did exactly what they said they were going to do, at the price they estimated. I have no complaints. There was no problems whatsoever. They were careful of my plants and lawn that were close to my driveway.

They are very friendly, responsive, punctual, and professional. I like the way they survey neighborhoods during the winter so they have a price ready when you call. It rained for 3 days right after they sealed my driveway. They came back a few days later and resealed it with no questions or hassle. I will definitely use them again.

Company very responsive. I called on a Tuesday and my driveway was sealed on Thursday. I left payment in an envelope in a convenient pre-arranged place. When I got home from work the job was completed. Neatly done.

The driveway of our house was in bad shape when we purchased it a year ago. We were hoping Collegiate could take a look at it and recommend fixes, but all they did was put a coat of sealer on it. It will be OK for another winter, but we were hoping to have something a bit more long term.

They did a good job resealing the driveway. They provided extra service by advising me on repairing a crack too large for them to seal and rescheduling their work to allow me time to make the repair myself. Even though they were there with their equipment ready to go, they rescheduled for another day at no charge on what was a pretty good price.

Went well, but there are a few minor cracks/areas that are not totally smooth.

We went to Collegiate due to their work on a neighbor's property. Another company offered a slightly lower estimate which Collegiate subsequently beat. On the day of the appointment it looked like rain and we expressed concern that it would not dry properly. The individual we dealt with stated it would be dry to walk on in 3 hours but 24 hours to drive on. The sealers came and did their work without fuss very quickly and the driveway looked great. Despite the long walk through the woods at night we did not walk on the driveway the first day. It later sprinkled that night but not much accumulation. The next morning I walked out onto the driveway to discover it was not close to being dry. It rained much more heavily that night (when we had guests visiting) and days and days later it still had not dried. When it finally dried to walk on in about 6 days we noted some areas were white. We called back Collegiate and they offered to recoat the driveway again. This time they pointed out that the shade caused by our trees and the rain caused the delay in drying. They came back again and recoated the entire driveway. While I believe they were too quick to state that the driveway would be dry to walk on in three hours, they ensured our satisfaction in the end. I recommend that if it looks like rain that you reschedule or face days and days of waiting to walk or drive on the pavement.

We had received a card in the mail from them with a price quote. When I called, they verified the price quote, so I scheduled them. They came first thing in the morning of the scheduled day. They cleaned and sealed the driveway in 30 minutes. They did a very neat job.

The day I called Collegiate I was able to set up an appointment right away for a reasonable price ($72 after Angie's List discount). For anyone that has attempted to seal their own driveway, you can't beat the price and time savings. The company arrived on the day promised, did a great job sealing the driveway, and blocked off the driveway as promised. The driveway looks great. We will use this company for future driveway sealing and have recommended them to other friends.

They showed up on time. I called to try to get an exact time of arrival. They were there within the half hour range. They did the whole project as described above in an hour and a half. Mine is a very long circular driveway, plus a side access road. They scraped off any moss as part of the general clean-up and preparation. There were a team of three who did the work.

Company came when they said they were going to and completed the work requested with no issues.
